1. It snowed and feels like December. depressing. yes.
This is my world right now... I took it yesterday:(
2. So last night I went to a leadership
meeting for my calling in my ward....one of the talks given was amazing I couldn't hold back the tears as she read this poem and her daughter sang a song right after about our children....
| The Oak Tree by Johnny Ray Ryder Jr. |
|
|
A mighty wind blew night and day It stole the oak tree's leaves away Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark Until the oak was tired and stark
But still the oak tree held its ground While other trees fell all around The weary wind gave up and spoke. How can you still be standing Oak?
The oak tree said, I know that you Can break each branch of mine in two Carry every leaf away Shake my limbs, and make me sway
But I have roots stretched in the earth Growing stronger since my birth You'll never touch them, for you see They are the deepest part of me
Until today, I wasn't sure Of just how much I could endure But now I've found, with thanks to you I'm stronger than I ever knew
----------------------------
With so much going on in each of our lives this poem has so much meaning to all of us because all of us go through our own trials...and as the years go by the the world gets crazier and crazier more misguided evil and we have to have our roots planted deep or we will not survive.
3. Cutest clark kent ever sneak peek before the real thing:)
4. This is the song that was sung last night also..... a song from long ago a song by Janice Kapp Perry called "Little Seeds" and sang by a 11 year old girl...not a dry eye in the room.... OUR children are so important and if we looked at them through different eyes what would we see.....
{so I can't find a link for the song but it is so pretty so here are the words...}
"Little Seeds"
You look at me and see a child so small and young.
My growing season has barely begun.
There are things you don't see,
hidden deep inside of me
Special gifts I came with the day of my birth.
Little seeds of greatness that I brought to earth
Little seeds will grow and grow
Little leaves begin to show.
And just like those little seeds, just like those seeds,
I'm full of possibilities.
Even the tallest tree started as little seeds.
Just shower me with love and kindness,
And watch me grow
I'll blossom in a thousand ways,
and you will come to know.
Little seeds will grow and grow
Little leaves begin to show.
and just like little seeds, just like those seeds,
I'm full of possibilities
Even the tallest trees started as little seeds.

-That is a really great poem!
-K2 is the cutest.
- I can't believe that K was punched in the face. I remember when my brother defended me on the bus. It was awesome. We didn't get along very well, so it was good to know he really did love me.
-Happy Halloween, we know it secretly is your favorite holiday! =)
