{ Me thinks....}

....I totally think every couple needs some time away together...to renew, to remember, to refresh, to recharge and to make new memories this past week D and I went to SLC, Utah. D had a work seminar its not really a break for him but it is for me:) Plus 12 hours to drive there just  Him and I.... worth every minute!
Throw in an amazing sister and brother in law to watch ALL your kids plus her two boys plus being pregnant .....seriously an angel she is!! Thanks so much Katelyn!!! My kids had a blast and I knew they were being well taken care of...... peace of mind makes a trip away  even better!!

SO a few pics basically just me and my iphone pics I was wising I had brought my big camera but oh well... On tuesday night we had a company bbq at liberty park loved that it was first this year .....usually its on the first full day of meetings but it was before meetings even started and it was so fun to see everybody and catch up and talk before seminar even started...

 "the company"
becomes your family especially when some of them go so far away from family, I felt it when we moved to the Florida Ranch in 2007 .....great great people and friends....Salt of the earth hard working strong people....Love em!!
So on Day 1 we had to be at the seminar with our husbands for the morning and then we had a spouse luncheon fancy everything the hotel the food the..... well everything
awesome speakers and a nice gift for all of us in an American express prepaid visa for us to go shopping with at City Creek the amazing new mall downtown Salt Lake! It is pretty incredible retractable roof, the fountains, the span of it , the creek running through it ....but really a high end mall I'm more a low end good sale kind of girl:) but the gift card was good anywhere...

 So after the luncheon we had the rest of the day until we went to the Hale Theater's production of sound of music that night amazing once again....... fun times and dinner at a Texas-Brazilian grill:)

Day 2 was a free day I went to temple square cause I love it there, went to the church museum and shopped some more. Then met up with my two sil's that live down there we went to "the garden" restaurant at the Joseph Smith memorial building fun to sit and chat with them!
Then that night we had a fancy dress up banquet and had the honor to listen to Bishop Davies newly called into the presiding bishopric in April down to earth man and great talk...fun to meet people you would never meet otherwise..
After the banquet D and I went out for a walk around downtown so fun you forget how nice it is to be able to walk hand in hand...
Too busy ??? looks like a mormonad eh.... ha ha:)
SO fun!
DAY 3 was a day of seminar for all of us but it is so interesting to see where the company is headed and the growth that is happening its really incredible...D works for AgReserves inc.  owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints...truly amazing what is being done. the majority have no idea what reserves the Church has in place for all of us......do you know that the Church has Cattle and land all over the world which is D's division for the Ranches in Canada, a world wide company that is only expanding and growing with the population and the world...its far more then cattle and land though farms, almonds, prunes, potatoes, citrus, etc etc,etc....... amazing! and So blessed to be a small part of it...
and then it ended far to quick I wasn't really ready to come home yet ;) so fun to spend a few days down there each year..
.I look forward to it every year...

Me thinks

Here is the next book to read..... it is so so amazing I could have written it myself.  It is my life story minus a few details but while I was reading it I laughed, I cried and remembered so freshly the frustrations and agony over infertility in my life and all that goes along with it!
 I read some of it out loud to D  on the way to SLC and he was like wow totally what we went through!
It is such a good book I read it in 5 hours! If you want to read a story of love infertility, adoption and a birth mothers side of it READ this .
 Quite honestly it will help you understand a little bit of what infertility is about and how it feels....when those around you have no idea how much your aching, hurting and yearning!! It helps you understand adoption better and then the side of the birth mother her sacrifice and  the love she has for her baby...
I honestly could have written word for word some of the pages in this book  and though some parts brought old feelings to the surface it was awesome to know that I WAS and AM not alone in my past feelings and feelings today...
Thank you to the author for putting into words what so many of us have been through and continue to go through....it is beautifully written and like life .............miracles do happen and peace does come...
read it..:)
and like it says:

"Life's most unexpected turns can sometimes produce the greatest joys."

Thats how feel...because if we got every answer we were seeking in our prayers.... we would miss out on the blessings we weren't even asking for... and for that I am SO thankful!

Have a beautiful WEEK :)

{Arise}

{Arise.}

I believe we have a problem a big one.
 We need to reevaluate where we stand we need to
Believe. Arise. Commit.
{pause the music at the bottom of this page and take a minute to watch the video above:)

 This is our LDS youth theme this year I was cleaning drawers and found this disk I hadn't seen it since I work in the primary with the children in our ward ...but I LOVE this inspiring video...how can you not be inspired by the good the feelings it brings to the surface of all things good...clean and right...
For awhile I have these thoughts I need to get out.
{NO offense intended in this post just my thoughts}
 I see all around me people who aren't committed as much anymore, people who say no a lot, people who take what blessings they are given for granted, people who mock, people who don't get it, people who throw it away, people who don't feel the spirit of what "it" is all about... people who make up lies, people who have ceremonies to "resign" from their religion......people who take their covenants lightly or not at all, people who throw it all away for a moment of pleasure, people who think they are better off without "it", mothers deserting their children because they think they are better than that calling, families are hurt, children are hurt and people are so so blinded for momentary things.
I BELIEVE
that right now there is a big division a "wheat and the tares" happening the strong and the weak being weeded out...
I see it every week, I hear about it everyday
and I DO NOT understand how people throw away the beautiful things in life....
If one has truly felt the "spirit" there is no denying it.
 I belong to The Church of Jesus CHRIST of LATTER DAY SAINTS
I grew up with values, standards and worked towards goals in my life not because anybody told me to but because of the way I have felt. I have seen horrible things that destroy lives and people who made wrong turns I've seen those who lose there way and lose everything. I have seen the devastating effects of drugs, alcohol, deceit and dishonesty and I don't and didn't ever want any part of it no happiness involved in that route though "some think thats what life should be and I only feel sad for them .
How can a religion or a good life of service, charity, eternal families, life after death, inspiring people to be better to learn, grow and follow in our Saviour's footsteps
one that
teaches  our children, our youth to have goals, to serve, to have respect to abstain from certain things for own our happiness....
 to ARISE and Go forth
 to see clean happy youth and adults, families doing good and working towards common goals....  to help each other...etc etc...
I believe in miracles, I believe in eternal families I believe it takes hard work dedication
prayer, scripture study and temple attendance we do not belong to a Sunday only church it is a life apart of who we are.
a religion that inspires youth and people in general to serve
to have a purpose in life,
to create eternal families
to pray, to read our scriptures
to abstain from certain things is only for our welfare
WHAT GREATER BLESSING THAN TO HAVE
A PLAN AND LIVE BY IT to have it all there for our benefit...
Society's and individuals problem is REMOVING these very same things from our lives it is sickening to watch ...and we wonder why things are happening .....why the world is so confused......why our children and society act the way we do...
because people are quitting...... people aren't committed as they used to be......people are lazy...... to the things that matter there are SO MANY distractions people think are "better"
Well they are aren't and never will be..
Happiness is obedience I tell my kids this all the time
AND
I have seen to much to deny it I don't get caught up in the petty stupid things that don't matter because my religion is apart of me I live it and try harder to be better and a better example...
How can something that only inspires and builds ourselves and others around us through the gospel, through humanitarian service and ward service and life service and examples the happiest people have "something "in their eyes a countenance a light, direction and love in their lives. There is no other way around it.
I just get so sad when people through it away..
No better time to ARISE and SHINE FORTH
because the time is now.
Where do you stand? What are you teaching others through what you do everyday? Whats really important? Whats happening all around us?
We all need a wake up call. What does it take?
--------------------------------
Sorry to deep?? but its been bugging me a lot lately I hear so many things that just break my heart and make me think where do I stand? where do I want my children and their children to be one day??
because its all up to us where we go from here!!

I believe. What do you believe?
Have an awesome weekend!

{ 10 on Tuesday...}

love my views, the colors, the smells.... all of it I ♥ it.....

1. Read THIS. please its a good reminder for all of us. BE PRESENT.. .....Cell phones....face book who's doing what with who where?? all the instant gratification that we "think" we need
is it worth it??

...."set aside the blog readers..... The smart phones. The tags. The hashtags. The comments. The pinning. The whatever it is that is not allowing you to be fully present in your own life, and get back to the way things should be.
Read it..Seriously puts things into perspective and how many of us do this every.single.day.?

2. So many things have broken down lately...boat, prop, washer, bikes, but thankfully not people:) just lots of money :(

3. Got in some boat fun Saturday aft for the most part I love spending time on the water, love seeing the kids get so excited , love seeing their smiling faces and hearing their awesome laughs and most of all spending time together as a family...

4. its hot.we don't have A.C. thats it.

5. Sunday drives to the ranch most of the time result in K puking :( so we borrowed some gravol sunday evening...and gave it to K.... NOW this is the boy who has been sick like 2 times in 10 years and taken ibuprofen like once maybe...so oops we drugged him he was so groggy or "fuzzy" as he called it.... he slept for like  two hours but he didn't puke!!!
another family tradition not the gravol ha ha although can't lie D and I did get a good laugh at wondering how many would knock M out hee hee:)
I was talking about the drive though;)
 I love with my littles and D:)

6. My sweet little L has her first orthodontic apt tomorrow that starts her journey of braces and corrections... kind of nervous for her and us:) Her self esteem means the world to me and I want her to be Happy!! and if that means starting now then thats what we do ...so tomorrow we shall see what is ahead for us.....
7. This is amazing....Smore's Dip..... try it even my smores hating husband said "this is probably the first time I've liked a smore"
its that good and that fattening ha ha...found here

8. Can't wait to read this and cry.
infertility. adoption. birth mothers.

9. AMEN.
I truly am so scared for the generations coming up
of cell phone addicted, entitled,
 spoiled disrespectful kids and teenagers out there that I see so so much around me everyday{not all but so many!}
Some days it feels like a very daunting job to raise these children we have been loaned here on this earth.... to be  strong, valiant, assertive, respectful, honest, hard working children and adults!
All I do know is we get there one day at a time and we are trying our hardest and best..... despite what the world around us is telling us...
and that is all we can do! Lots of prayers, love and obedience consequences one step at a time..

10. Favorite Quote of the Week
"Teach your children everything you know. If you must, use words."

Have a great week :)

An awesome day:)
-----------------------------------------
For RAnDoM Sake:

-my washer broke down a week ago the pump went and water was pouring out of my pot light in the basement and dripping through the ceiling:( and now the piles of clothes are ridiculously adding up...and the part still isn't here:(

- D got the deck partway done enough to use it for Canada Day 10 minutes before the parade and company came:) Love D's work he is such a hard worker and does the very best job he can on whatever it is and I so appreciate that about him!! He is truly amazing! Just need the bench seating railings and stairs so excited!!

- Little miss L asked D to come downstairs cause she needed to talk to him and she told him "that she hasn't been saying her prayers very good lately because she doesn't know if anyone is listening"
"She told him she has been praying for a baby sister for 2 years and that she doesn't feel like she was being heard"
Oh baby girl I hear you so we had some good talks cause I kind of understand that too a little bit it was a great teaching moment and a great talk oh how I love her thinking she also told me that sometimes she just sings the primary song "are you really there" she brought tears to my eyes!
She told me her and K had been talking {in their late night lego sessions:) and that K told her she better tell mom and dad {that in itself made me happy cause when the bigger things come along I hope they talk to us too:) I so so love these kids!!

- So many CRAZY things going on everywhere in the world.....crazy fires , bills passed without regard of the people, crazy resignation ceremonies of offended people who don't get it....
Crazy things that make me thankful to be where I am right now!!!

- I'm weird I think I'm the only one who doesn't like TOMS I love them on little babies and kids but not adults I know eh I'm weird....

Love this quote I just found:
"When a person can find the gift within the trial, then the trial will have served its purpose. It's when we flounder through the same type of trial over and over and never learn anything, never find the gift, that we keep going through the same, seemingly fruitless struggles."
