{ Thankful Thursday }

 Its looking fallish out there already..... I took this a couple of mornings ago it was foggy, cold and I could see my breath.....

1. I am thankful for School. for teachers that teach our children all year. cause this momma is about to go to the loony bin my fuse is getting shorter by the day;).....
I'm guessing kinda how teachers feel at the end of a school year?
Kids need routine. Momma needs routine.  Kids need rules, discipline and a reminder of respect every single day.
That's all I'm gonna say well except for 11 days to go.

2. Thankful {i think} ha ha..... We got away to Montana boating, skiing camping for a week....the first two days were great.... then the rain, thunder and a big unexpected vehicle repair followed ...by then it just made me wanna run home but it is what it is and memories were made. not that I'd like to relive them anytime soon;) ..But I am truly Thankful for my children watching them play nice, laugh together and swim for hours are moments I love watching and hearing and will cherish forever ....

3. SO Thankful for my not so little growing family.....
 my crazy lovable boys...

 .....cousins to play with

4. Thankful for this girl who turned 10!! While we were at the lake {like every year:)
I can't believe she is TEN!
 B-day Camping style:)
Miss L can't imagine life without her...she is a funny and independent, Shes a loom making, story writing, doll hairstyling, book reading, drawing and crafting  going into 5th grade!! Kinda girl:)))
Hard to believe so many years have passed since she was placed into our arms and heart 10 short years ago!! So blessed by her beautiful, strong spirited birth mother who picked us!
A rose among the teasing thorns;) We love our little miss L.

5. K is getting ready for football to start and has started working his ankle so its stronger.  The other morning I went for a run got back and he wanted to go so I hopped on a bike and went with him it was foggy out and the sun was coming up and I shot probably one of my favorite shots of the summer of him I love it:) and him!! Can't even believe he is going to be 13 in a few months a TEENAGER WHAT how did that happen!!
{I know everybody is probably sick of my insta feed of early morning summer run pics but its probably one of my favorite things to do ever so sorry not sorry haha}
Everybody is missing out sleeping in;)

6. Speaking of instagram here are some other shots lately from my phone:) and some S. A beauty:)
 A storm moving in we've had so many lately and you know I love a good storm:)
and of the lake early a couple of mornings

6. Thankful for common sense for the few people that have it still... cause it doesn't make me feel so alone.... seriously some days I wonder!! people wake up!!
ACCOUNTABILITY breeds RESPONSIBILITY
What is wrong with todays world??
Everybody blames everybody else and takes no reponsiblitity for their own actions. It's disturbing to watch the news or look around or read horrible comments on posts and see that everybody has an excuse or really no common sense left at all? Besides that....
 Make your children accountable give them responsibility and quit swooping in to save them let them learn you do them and society no favors... that's where it all starts step up and do society a favor be a real parent with real grounded common sense or is that a thing of the past too? too traditional for some? to old fashioned
oh sorry did I offend you too;)
Get over it and take some accountability world:)
Don't protect your children from making mistakes
7. Thankful for memories and pictures. I sold my crib and change table this week and i think I've finally reluctantly accepted that I've moved into the next stage.
Somehow it happened that our baby

 is going into Kindergarten
and the big boy is going to Jr High.

It'll be okay such is life with a few tears in between for the hard times, the broken dreams, and the mishaps along the way.
But so many more beautiful moments that make it all worthwhile more smiles, memories and happy tears along the way too.

 “You will have bad times, but they will always wake you up to the stuff you weren’t paying attention to.” - Robin Williams

And this is what it all comes down to...

8. I am Thankful for an amazing husband who works 2 demanding full time jobs pretty much yet finds time for us in between... he's a great example to not only me but to our children and hopefully they will one day see that the sacrifice is worth it cause we do miss him a lot around here:)
 I am SO thankful for my scriptures & prayer and the peace they bring me each morning well that and a good run helps clear my mind and helps my day run smoother ... not perfect by any means but better;)

9. I am thankful to be born where I was, have the family I do, and to live in this country..... to be a Mormon .. We have no idea how blessed we are and what others are going through right now just to survive.
We are spoiled really.
Just read this book loved it....

10. I am thankful for my life. There are so many things to be thankful for. Blessings are there when you take a minute to stop and look around:)
you notice more and more.

"The mind is everything.
What you think, you become."

"A negative mind will never give you a positive life."

Have a great week:)

{Monday Monday}

Mondays seem to be the catch up days:) Seriously glad this weekend has passed it was my 20th high school reunion and I was in charge because the girl in charge found out she had Cancer:( SO I had to pull up my big girl pants no matter how nervous I was to fail or that something was going to go wrong. But the night of we had a great turnout { for a 20th out of a class of about 120 it was pretty good} and it was so fun to see so many..
I prefer to be the secretary type of job in life tell me what to do kind of thing instead of the in charge, organizing delegating person. But what I learn about myself each time I do something like this is that
"I CAN DO HARD THINGS"
and for everyone those "hard things" are different
But I do know if were willing to give it all we got we learn more about ourselves and grow more then we think. We learn what we really can accomplish if we try and push our selves to do more and be more.
To overcome fears, to chose the right attitude & to chose to be happy and just get past it and do it:)
Another fact I know is that "it" doesn't last forever whatever "it" is:)
But we all learn more if we dive in..
 20 years!

Summer is in its final 3 weeks around here kinda ready to get back into routine another week in there of vacation boating camping and some swim lessons then back into it:))
Life just keeps moving on:)

Nothing is impossible!
Have a great week:)

{Summer Time}

Okay now its August honestly I'm losing track of time making memories with my family....... crazy how that happens eh. We think we'll have more time as they grow but we become busier each year.
I'm making more of an effort that the "busy" be with them. Holding them, hugging them, listening to them and helping them along the way all of us learning together.  Probably because I can't stand the thought that they are growing up so fast and I realize that my time is short with them and I want to make the most of it.
Of course some days I'm exhausted, tired of harping, picking up after, listening to the tattling, fighting and name calling...{
I know shocker were normal eh;) } Some days I wonder.......
 if we'll make it through the day...
we write lines, go to our rooms and apologize with a smile until were happy... take a 5 and a deep breath and carry on....
Won't lie Arizona went back to school today and I'm a little Jealous because I like the kids crave and need ROUTINE like no other
we all get grouchy, have long, bad days some days and just need that constant of routine but we have a month left till school starts here and we'll keep on:)
So what have we been up to:)

Well last week we went to Nelson, BC with my side of the family and 4 of my siblings a mini reunion minus a sister and her family sad she couldn't be there but was nice to be together with everyone
Long drive but it was nice the kids had a blast with cousins and even got a little relaxation in....
ferry ride, wind and a long drive...
perfect archway and cutest little boy ever

Just relaxing M style

best big brother and cousin ever:)

 grandpa's girl ...fish for breakfast anyone?
  Little Diva's

another week of memories
This and That:
Add to that the day after we got home Yard work gone astray Saturday when K and M decided to "play" war and M stuck a stick right through K's lip..... split it through to his teeth and 1.5 hours later in ER...... he has 5 stitches on inside 4 outside it was pretty gross!

Summer is the BEST! Although I've decided I function better in the fall, winter and spring  being hot and sticky only makes me grouchy and irritated..... I don't have AC and my house gets hot..we don't eat much in the summer either;) to hot to bake:)
{though I love to camp, boat, run and hike in it}
So I guess its a love/hate relationship eh:)

I have my 20th School Reunion this weekend CRAZY that its been 20 hard to believe! Should be fun:)

Beginning to really realize we'll always feel the same inside, its the outside that decides it wants to do other things;)
Good On The Inside
Life is SHORT enjoy it:) make right choices and be happy:)

Have a Great Week:)
