{10 on Tuesday}

 BALANCE IS KEY.
getting there is another thing.

1. I often go on a run in the morning in the five o'clock hour {hideous I know but when D leaves early its the only time I get to myself all day its worth it} Anyway this morning I heard roosters crowing {is that even the right word??} aspens rattling in the breeze and silence....... it made me think I want to live out of town so bad where its quiet room to run, room to build my gabled wrap around porch dream  house and hear roosters in my back yard...okay that might get annoying fast but I really do love hearing roosters in the morning brings me back to my childhood when we had chickens, a big out of town house and acres and acres of woods and hay land to play in..... maybe someday..... oh I also smelt bacon cooking in the breeze kind of made me gag that early ...... random random ha ha...

2. Sunday night I tucked L into bed and she had said earlier she needed me to tuck her in because she had a secret to tell me...Her secret was this "Can you ever forgive me for being mean to you and not listening" {now I think she was serious... but then I started wondering if it was a line from a movie...because she did stay at grandmas last week and watched a lot of movies....but also how many times have I felt that way growing up towards my mom too what goes around comes around right get used to it some of you are probably saying :)
But it was short lived anyway though I did appreciate her telling me that but today she told me:
" I'm kind of having second thoughts about this thing"...
I said "what thing?"...
she says "living in this family, all these boys "... what??
she comes up with the best lines sometimes
or today walks into the costco freezer and says
"This brings me to the future"
me WHAT??
yah winter.
 {like I'm dumb or something for not thinking thats what she was talking about }
She is the queen of random. funny girl.

3. Yesterday my darling little 5 year old and a friend decided it would be a good idea to open the basement window {filled with exercise equipment and a tv} and put the hose in and turn it onto the carpet, elliptical, tv,treadmill, um yeah calm wasn't exactly me.  so yeah not a good idea.
Thank you boys. Wet everything. Not a good day. for either of us.

4. SO you know my addiction to prison break right {I just finished it again} loser I know ha ha ..... Anyway there is a part in it that talks about
THE GATEWAY TO CAPTIVITY.... IS NEGATIVITY
and on my run this morning I really thought about that and it is so so true when people are so negative everything around them becomes a big offense trap that eats at them...meaning they take offense at everything no matter what it is...and it really is a captivity issue it will eat away at you because it becomes all you focus on all the negative, it fester in you, makes you angry and masks your ability to see the positive side to things..... I love this quote
“Avoid destructive thinking. Improper negative thoughts sink people. A ship can sail around the world many, many times, but just let enough water get into the ship and it will sink. Just so with the human mind. Let enough negative thoughts or improper thoughts get into the human mind and the person sinks just like a ship.”

5.  Yesterday I got two awesome packages in the mail from giveaways I had won...I love good mail days...my favorite time of day when I was at RICKS COLLEGE so long ago was when the mailman came around I love that little white truck :) I love the brown truck 2 he he! I just loved letters and packages I kind of miss letters now with email and all that its nice but i love a good letter...its pretty much a thing of the past isn't it....
6. I always get asked where I shop for clothes and shoes...  I admit I'm a big on line shopper {but only for amazing deals and discounted  or free shipping and free returns} and I love it when it comes to my door. I rarely shop at the mall besides the odd time to winners or tj/ross target ........ I don't like the same thing everybody else has but I have a deep and abiding love for down east basics  {have since they opened back in my ricks days again.... }as you know so sometimes I sacrifice sameness ha ha...
so anyway some of my favorites are:
and remember checking back for deals is the key I never pay for anything full price sometimes it can be 30 bucks more in the stores and 13 bucks on line..
also Charlotte Russe for shoes and spring shoes
and always go to
for coupon codes and free shipping deals always something if you look good enough...
old navy has free returns and lots of stuff that is only sold on line so its never in the stores always some kind of sale going on there I usually can't find anything in the store but I can on line and if you don't like it send it back free you can't lose ;)
6.  I made supper last night like an actual cook in the oven supper and we sat at the table together for pretty much the first time this summer..... sad but true........ schedule goes right out the window in summer but I'm a routine kind of girl and miss it! Point of  number seven besides that I actually cooked a meal.......is we have some family talk cards  its where you pick a question and everybody has a turn to give their answer and we talk about it.. So amazing what the kids can come up with and its pretty fun to see what the questions are going to be. We kind of like it. The kids immediately ask for it when we get started its fun...makes me feel like were building memories and spending quality time together I like that and its fun.

7. Loving that K is starting to cook and wants to know how things are made he made breakfast for everyone on Sunday. eggs are his specialty now only if cleaning up after himself was too :) but I'm not complaining he is growing up so fast ....and I really really enjoy him he is such an amazing kid always has been, couldn't ask for a better son, friend, brother he has a good head on his shoulders he's smart handsome and helpful, he makes good choices and is such a big help to me I really really hope he stays that way forever!

8.Love this..some days feel like this.
howmanydaystillschoolstarts??
9. Can't wait to go camping soon with the kids all of us and yes we are tenters we like trailers too but we love our boat more....
doesn't this picture just look peaceful second thought put four kids in it and an ocd mom yeah your right not so peaceful but fun !!
thank you pinterest I love you...

10. and just because I love health tips and such I like this especially number 2 I don't work in a office but sometimes I should ....to much time wasted some days....
and thats random for you from ME :) ...

{ LifE }

Remember to Cherish each Moment
for these are the things Memories
are made of.

1. We just got away for 4 1/2 days to SLC for D's work he works for an awesome company who's employer is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so these work conventions are so fun to go to uplifting, way to much good food, and its fun to meet all the others who work in this worldwide company. It amazes me how much there is to the company from the leadership to the "family" we all become with a common goal among us all. So the kids went to various places and had tons of fun {thanks SO much all who watched our kids!} and we had a nice little break away, honestly being in the same vehicle and talking and laughing for 10-12 hours is my favorite part, when you have a husband who works so much is gone a fair bit and busy busy its nice to have some time to talk ! I didn't even get one picture together though!

2. Friday morn I had some free time so I went to my favorite place... I love temple square I love the beauty of it, the flowers immaculately taken care of , I love the feel of history that is so strong you can feel it. I love the buildings the people and meeting random new people,
 3. I love HISTORY I could read about, tour it and research it over and over I love to see how people lived thought and learned I still love it now too but especially those who have gone before.
 4. I loved the sunset last night, and driven to music probably another one of my favorite things... nature and everything about it....we drove home all night and got home at 5am slept for a few hours and picked up the kids.

5. D's company puts us up in style and feeds us way to much and basically spoils us for a few days. We are required to attend parts of it and we have a luncheon and other things set up if we choose to do it... I enjoy the sleeping in, the shopping and whatever I feel like doing :) I love seeing people from year to year and listening to the different ranch stories and learning more about this vast company. As LDS people we have no idea the enormity of land, cattle and food the church produced and is involved with ALL over the world its incredible and I am so thankful we are apart of it lots of people spend there time moving here and there from Australia to Brazil to Florida to Washington to California to Utah everywhere! We spent four months in Florida in 2007 and it was amazing to see all that happens there on their Ranch and the people were awesome and I learned a lot from them and about myself.... all part of the process....Learning and growing....

  6. A few things I loved that I heard from some of the talks especially from the women who had to move to brazil Chili mexico argentina that its all in our ATTITUDE how we chose to accept situations we are put into no matter what it is it will make or break any situation....that kind of hit me some of the are:
7. "Get out of the mud" {thanks michelle} the negative thoughts and attitude only dig you deeper into a rut thats harder to get out of....we decide by our attitude how much we are going to do
we are the HEARTBEAT of the family  and the way we react or have an attitude about whatever it is........ is how our children and husband will feel and will suffer with us or be happy with us...make the best of what life has given you.
so basically COWBOY UP from discouragement.
love it..

8. I love my hard working D, he is amazing, calm and an awesome father to our kids, the best of the best of a husband and friend, I am so so thankful for the attitude and calming influence he is in our family and his teasing always making us laugh ways too. I feel very blessed to have him and blessed to have the children I do...before we left on Tuesday after the tragedy last Saturday in the family it made me really look around and appreciate all that I have and hold them all a little tighter.
Thanks for all your prayers for the family I know every one of them is greatly noticed and appreciated.

{Me Thinks}

This weekend was one I hope I never have to live through myself. Life is so uncertain and you never never know what can happen.
Never take anything for granted.
Especially your family.
I hope you hug your children closer today
Be kinder, more patient, more understanding
Realize what is important and
WHAT MATTERS MOST in this life.
It puts the important things in perspective. The petty things that don't matter become silly foolish things
the
new car, the fancy house, the expensive toys, exotic trips, new clothes will make no lasting impact on your life,
it is the family, our children and loved ones that will. You take the other things.... they are replaceable. There are some things that aren't and it puts life in perspective faster than anything. I am so grateful to

We found out saturday morning that D's cousin's beautiful little 2 year old have been killed in a tragic tractor accident.
Its heartbreaking, more than sad and horribly untimely. Something no mother or father should ever have to go through . My heart breaks for their entire family.
So many tears by so many have been shed and continue to be.
Some people have so many trials in their lives it makes our little ones pale in comparison and makes me so so thankful for everything I have trials and blessings alike.
D and I had a chance to go hug them,  and cry with them last night its so hard to know what to say, but I hope they know how much we love and care about them and have them in our prayers & thoughts and hearts.
It will be in the following weeks months and days ahead that will be the hardest I only hope that there will be a major outpouring of support, love and help as I'm quite sure there will be and thats when we learn that we are here for..... to help others and learn and grow together and watch the miracle of people coming together to help others..
I can't even imagine.
The only ounce of a tiny inkling we have to know that kind of loss is to imagine our own children in that same situation.
Life is so uncertain.
I am so grateful to know that we will live again and
we will see our loved ones again and we can be
Together forever.

Well, it's hard to say good bye and let go
And it's hard to see it end
When the memories we've just made
May never happen again.
But it's harder for time to ever erase
The together times we've shared.
So, when we're apart remember
All the love we shared together

And for all that love,
Thank the Lord above
Who showed us the way
That we can be together, forever someday

{Friday Five & Five...}

 1. Went to Wicked on Tuesday we left tuesday afternoon got there in time for dinner and headed to wicked it was OZsome!! {cheesy I know} it really was amazing can't wait to go to New York someday and see more and it again! After we headed home and got back about 2 in the morning.... Loved the good laughs, friends and a night out.

2. I got brave yesterday and took all four kids to see Kung Fu Panada 2 ...so cute and if your family has anything to do with adoption you'll cry well I did it was so cute! Had some awesome lines in it too! Then we went to the park and McD's for dinner the kids loved it!
{D was at a business conference}
some of my favorite lines from the movie were:
The Soothsayer:
Your story may not have such a happy beginning but that doesn't make you who you are, it is the rest of your story, who you choose to be.

po: You got to let go of the stuff from past, because it just doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is what you choose to be now.

when you follow the noble path, anything is possible.

3. I totally collected two cereal pin numbers to get a free t-shirt ha ha I love free stuff!! I can always use a pj shirt lol!!  Made me miss the days of the prizes in the cereal boxes anybody else miss those treasures??

4. My sister took my two older kids to her house to play this afternoon thanks Dj. Then D took the three older ones to the farm to take them horseback riding! So K2 and I went running and I got some things done...well actually right now I'm sitting here ha ha....Anyway I was outside watering the garden I could hear the phone ringing a few times and the thought came to me what if one of the kids got hurt riding??? So I came in and D called right as soon as I got in...... from the Hospital.......... M fell of his horse when it started to trot and his teeth went through his lip so he got glued {instead of stitches} Weird how I had that feeling before I came in! I had to bribe him over the phone to take the medicine the dr. was giving him...
poor M didn't have a good day to start with!!

5. I CANNOT wait for our slc trip!!! a little break just D and I and the kids are all staying with there favorite peoples :) This mom needs the time out! Summer is wearing me out already :)
how many days till school starts? lol.

6. Swim lessons are over for the summer again the kids did great M especially he actually stayed with his instructor so thats big :0  and L loves the water so she is happy anytime she gets in the water! and K not his favorite thing but he is getting the basics he can swim better then me!
my crazies
7. I can't believe how gossip spreads and gets bigger and bigger. I've watched it over and over..... the embellished tale that people don't even know what they are talking about and they make it up as they go and the story gets bigger and bigger as it goes so unfair. gossip.Unless we've walked in there shoes I'm pretty sure we have no idea what they are going through.......If we put ourselves in the position of who we are talking about would you be doing any talking ....spreading...embellishing?? it hurts. stop it.

8. This looks so good..Want to try it...click the pic for recipe.

9. I think I really need another baby girl there are so many cute things out there...ps if your done shouldn't you "feel" done?? What if I don't.
aren't these adorable!!!

10. Love this quote ....
Without the rough patches in life we wouldn't learn and grow and be who we are. Life isn't always smooth its the rough that makes us tough and helps us help others...

such is life.

{Me Thinks}

Another weekend this summer is flying by already so much going on, Helaman's Encampment over and so many other things going on its crazy! But fun I think the kids are loving the freedom and space to run all day long. D got home saturday afternoon from camp then we ran over to a reception later that night, sunday was church and we took the kids to the ranch and a picnic it was fun to just be us...lots of laughs some puking K gets car sick easy and it happened yesterday on the way to the ranch poor kid...then he was hyper as ever!
So last week my brother in law decided K2 needed a buzz cut which I told him no to for about 10minutes probably then I gave in...I have nothing against buzz cuts I just don't really like them for my kids ...but he talked me into it and here he is....glad it will grow back in soon :) I just like being able to do their hair I know I'm weird ha ha!
Other than these things and this, this morning K2 decided he is no longer afraid of the water and went straight in today clothes and all :)

SO fun!

-------------------------------------------
ME THINKS/He thinks/ We thinks??
Is anybody else disgusted with the Casey Anthony trial outcome??
it really makes me ill what the world is coming too....
innocent people get penalized far worse sometimes then the guilty just to make a statement its quite sickening....
kind of how the world is functioning right now though where evil is made good etc etc....
How singing songs at Christmas about the true meaning of Christmas the whole reason there is CHRISTmas is offensive or saying a prayer???etc etc
it sometimes makes me so sad to watch the news a see what the "world" is trying to make "normal" those things that are completely degrading wrong JUST PLAIN WRONG.
I got an email the other day that I love because it is so true and those of us who don't speak up for what we believe in and the freedoms we enjoy we won't be enjoying them for long if we don't make a stand....
Andy Rooney says:
I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I'm not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December.  I don't agree with Darwin , but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school  teacher taught his Theory of Evolution.
Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a  30-second prayer before a football game. So what's the big deal?  It's not like somebody is up there reading the entire Book of Acts.  They're just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.
But it's a Christian prayer,  some will argue.
Yes, and this is the United States of America and Canada , countries founded on Christian principles.  According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1.  So what would you expect -- somebody chanting Hare Krishna?
If I went to a football game in Jerusalem , I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.
If I went to a soccer game in  Baghdad , I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.
If I went to a ping pong match in China ,  I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.
And I wouldn't be offended. It wouldn't bother me one bit.
When in Rome    .....
But what about the atheists? Is another argument.
What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized.  We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds.   If that's asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs..  Go to the bathroom.  Visit the concession stand.  Call your lawyer!
Unfortunately, one or two will make that call.
One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do.
I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's  foundations.
Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights..  Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing.  Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.
God, help us.  And if that last sentence offends you, well, just sue me.
The silent majority has been silent too long.  It's time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority doesn't care what they want.  It is time that the majority rules!   It's time we tell them,
"You don't have to pray; you don't have to say the Pledge of Allegiance; you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him.  That is your right, and we will honor your right; but by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away.  We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN!"
Keep looking up.

I also love this message here take a minute to watch it show it to your families....... pornography is destroying our
youth, families, marriages, lives.

{ ten on wednesday??}

....Doesn't go quite as good does it! But time is crazy around here.... like lack of it running from one thing to the next! But thats summer!
1. I miss doing ME THINKS so I need to get it out....
Here goes.
ever thought of that?
We read blogs and we see a perfect life sometimes {obviously not here lol}  real life yes but perfect FAR FROM , where it looks like every thing is just great....perfect, happy and that everything is just like it seems...
Life is far from that for most of us...don't get me wrong I am greatly blest
there are hurts that sometimes no one knows that you suffer alone and through that very few know or any
there are feelings of being  inadequate in whatever area in our lives,
there are feelings of not being a good enough mother sister, friend
feelings of loss for things that didn't happen that we wish did
there are misconceptions because of what we look like sometimes its called judging or what we've heard or what we unintentionally assume

I 've been the new girl many times in my life made new friends and heard "oh I thought you were _______ "
whatever it may be, fill in the blank
rumors, gossip and judging based on what you see and hear, but not what you KNOW or care to get to know the truth or the person....
taking time changes everything.
I AM MORE THAN WHAT YOU SEE... more than what you label me with, more than what has happened in my life,
and so is each one of us...it doesn't matter if we weigh 110 llbs or 190 whatever...have brown hair, red hair, 10 kids, no kids......
each one of us is more than what we see.....what comes from inside, our actions, or thoughts, our past, our present, our future
is now what we are doing....
----------------------------
2. I listened to a song called "if I only had today" by Hilary weeks
" if there was no tomorrow what would I do differently today"
and I thought of how many little things we do or feel need done where there is only so little time with our children RIGHT NOW
I get frustrated as a mother a lot chasing my 5 year old as he runs away from me in public isn't my idea of fun....  or having to get mad at him and not caring what everyone thinks
CAUSE guess what I know my kids and were you there 10 minutes ago to see what actually happened??
Sometimes I worry so much about how my children will turn out and what makes them tick and why they do this or that, I need to remember that now is what is important stop worrying about what is to come and work on today because before we know it today becomes tomorrow and we never know how many tomorrows we even have....
GET TO KNOW someone for more that what you see or assume you already know....
Anyway my whole point really is sometimes we get down and people think they know who you are all but in actuality they don't...
and never will if they haven't walked in your shoes or your path of life....
if we really understood each other and really got to know others it would become apparent that all walls that we put up would be down....none of us is greater than another.  We'd see that we are all so much alike no matter what it is everyone see's about us....
I get mad occasionaly
pretty sure some of us yell to much for things to get done,
we ask to much sometimes, expect to much
I get impatient to often
 and
want to run away on occasion to see
if we are appreciated for all we do in a day...
pretty sure  a lot of us feel the same
We are all children of God on the same plane and each of us is more than what we see...... inside is where it counts...
We are more than what you see.

3. We got our first produce from our garden hot radishes the kids wouldn't eat oh well they were pretty ha ha!

4. M loves the horses at grandpa's house I love this picture! SO an example of M....... you tell him not to touch the electric fence cause it will hurt him, what does he do----- he reaches out and touches it because thats what M does....
{unfortunately it wasn't turned up high enough for him to learn a lesson
and that we do know what we're talking about}

 5. L got a brand new GIRL bike not a boy hand me down she's had for a couple bikes since her last girl bike! She was in heaven for two days till she got in an accident and hit her brother head on pop her tire and both kids went flying ...then the tears of both did too....
 6. We took the boat out for the first time on K2's birthday I love having a boat the kids do too.

 think they are worn out??
 7. Cutest little 2 year ever. Happy Birthday Babe.

 8. I love good summer recipes especially new ones I want to try this one next .... so if you have an awesome one please share!
Dreamy Orange Summer Fruit Dip

Fruit for dipping (strawberries, mango, grapes, pineapple, etc)

Cut:
Wash, cut and prep the fruit.  Serve:   Refrigerate until ready to serve. Then enjoy the orange dreamsicle goodness!
