{10 on Tuesday ...}

Part of getting back into routine will be getting back to my regular posts on ME THINKS Mondays and THANKFUL Thursdays plus whatever in between :) but I guess thats to be seen right! But I do miss doing them!
So I needed to catch up before school starts tomorrow we had quite the weekend...
 source
1. -our burb broke down way out of town in a field while the whole of us in D's family was getting family pictures in a grain field and grass.....with this many people fun times... here's an example of how many of us there is to work with...it was so hot and bright for their pictures some of them are a little shady ;)

 2.-I got dosed with "pink" applesauce all over in my pink and gray outfit just before the  wedding pictures after the wedding Saturday went to pick up the kids from the babysitter and one of my kids in white decided to slurp some applesauce we needed to get back to the temple before they got out well needless to say I missed them walking out! sad! but true! and this was my quote of the weekend which i put on facebook....
3. "patience is what parents have when there are witnesses"-ha ha

How many of us feel like that eh! I don't have to pretend at home I have plenty of witnesses to notice my impatience...but its all a work in progress right...I have a feeling that its all about to get at least 50% better {{aka SCHOOL!!!}}  I think we all feel a little scattered and ready for some normality ;) whatever that is lol
4. The wedding was beautiful the reception
 was so fun I think everybody enjoyed it a lot...it was different then the norm and that was fun in itself it was at a lodge, fancier then we were all used too....a { non alcoholic} drink bar the kids thought that was amazing! There was a dj the best dancing fun I've had since we got married it was so FUN!, hor'derves {sp you know what I mean} on little trays being carried around, again the kids thought it was so awesome, Trevor panzak came after ten and played 4 songs for Ryan and Carly as a surprise so that was fun, then they brought out a "late lunch" at 10 so much food! D was the MC and the program was perfect, Carly and Ryan were beautiful and now on there way to Mexico for a week !
It was a beautiful day in almost every way!
5.  I have felt so crazy this summer ...its been a fun fun summer we were constantly busy and camping and boating and making memories. But in the meantime I've kind of felt like I was spiraling out of control ....not being able to workout when I've been used to doing it, even prayers, scriptures everything feels like it took a nosedive and thats so not normal for us. I know its okay that the house has been in a constant upheaval and thats okay... but for me it throws me off and makes me feel like things are falling apart even though they are really just inside I feel that way.  I've felt like the same things that we have been missing was a big reason for so much of the kids fighting and me feeling so impatient does that make sense?
6. This year I feel old I know I'm only 35 but I really do I feel like I'm dragging that I can see more wrinkles, that it takes more to exercise more than I've been doing in the past, I feel like I never have enough time in the day I'm tired its hot...okay that just summer but. I feel like its a big year for changes within myself and feelings....I've been struggling with the same old infertility thoughts and issues lately seems to happen when my babies turn two.... old feelings surface and that hidden ache becomes closer to the top again. I have prayed for 14 years for a miracle and have seen four perfect miracles in my life with my children and I feemore blessed for that than I could ever express. But it doesn't take away the pain deep down that's been covered for years and years that I've learned through the years to hide and control much better then I did maybe even five years ago. But its still there. All I want is to make and have a little piece of something made by me and D.... is that so wrong to think that? Sometimes it feels like its wrong to think it or say it when I am so blessed through adoption and my four babes....it in no way makes or takes the eternal feelings for the children I have any less by any means or anything, but so often the comments of how the cousins look so much alike or baby so and so looks just like you when you were little, how can you not wish for that hope that someday it might come true. Even if its been almost 15years? There is a plan and I have four little plans that I love more than life itself, but I just wonder if that plan includes the wish I wish more than anything at this point in life. Cause sometimes it feels like your looking at everything upside  down, sideways.... not knowing which is right side up???
"Faith is not about everything turning out OK; Faith is about being OK no matter how things turn out."
 ....and thats the point I think we all need to come too. Not that it isn't the greatest test too.
7. love this I shared it on face book but its an accurate description of some days ha ha...
 8. Some summer highlights for us....so much fun.....
9.  I'm learning that in life nothing is constant especially true with my calling as primary president the biggest issues are keeping teachers and relying on others to do there job to make mine easier pretty much...but I've learned a ton and stretched beyond what I thought I could ever do. I work with amazing girls and am so thankful for each of them we work so well together and help each other fill in the gaps along the way!! Couldn't do it without them!
10. I hate night terrors. breaks my heart. Happened again.
Have a GREAT week.

{10 on tuesday...}

.....Because I think a week has gone by and life just gets busier and busier with kids, work, vacations, a wedding :) and school starting....

1} We went to Montana last Wednesday camping boating and enjoyed spending time as a family just us the kids said it was the best ever and they had lots of fun so that is a successful vacation to me :)

2} Had a wedding shower for my soon to be sil saturday night....went to another wedding shower last night and gno all so fun to get out relax and remember I have friends and to have some me time after the last two months don't get me wrong..... summer has been fun its just throws me all to not be organized scheduled and routined since I kind of thrive on that!

3} Read this book the walk and starting the second... so good I love reading books that make me think and make me thankful for what I have and the trials I have too because life could be so much worse!

I love these lines from the first book
"The things that happen to you are apart of you, you decide what part they are of you. You can be a spring of gratitude and joy, or you can be a fountain of bitterness and pain. It is entirely up to you."

4} Making 150 cookies and squares for saturdays wedding so made these so far they are so good recipe here....any awesome ideas for squares or cookies that are exciting and different??? care to share

5} Got school supplies 3 boys haircuts they look so much better :)  and dr visits...  All in all yesterday was a productive day....I love days like that!

6} What do you call your in laws
a} nothing
b} mom and dad
c} by their first names
just curious I've never call mine anything but all good things :)  I even know why I find it hard to call them mom and dad or first names but I do they are so different than my parents I know its crazy and
 weird I know but I either talk to their face or yeah .....

7}September is the craziest money month ever! Fees, sports, dance, lunch this and that not looking forward to that part! And I know that I'll probably get some hate comments ha ha but I'm kind of looking forward to fall and all that comes with it the smells, colors, sweaters, thanksgiving all of it. Summer is fun vacations are fun but I like having seasons and changes...{although the 8 month winters are a little tiring and long that is for sure so maybe I'll just shut up :)

8} Loving these pinterest lovelies

9}K2 is talking so good he said his prayers for the first time this week repeating after us, he is the most tender hearted child I've ever seen.... he got into the rolo's for the cookies today and caught him shoving them in his mouth he felt so bad he was sobbing and then went to bed how can you get mad at that, he is saying more and more each day...love this kid

10} This is my "tribute" to Carly cause she is expecting it {ha ha} my soon to be in 4 days newest sister in law she is the 18th in d's family of the kids and spouses.... wow eh the last wedding in both of our families! Fun though she and Ryan are so cute! The more we get to know her the more we like her ! And I had hoped for a whole collage of beautiful pics by megan maxwell that are stunning but apparently you can't steal from facebook anymore which is a good thing i guess wish I could do that on here for my little picture thieves :)

Anyway we are all so excited for her to join our gigantic expanding family. She joined the church a few years back and is such an example to me... for her faith, courage and ability to be strong and take charge and make as many people comfortable as she can with a new situation one that is different than the norm, one that her family isn't used to and its been refreshing to watch two families come together, work together and make things work for everyone.
She is happy, knows how to get things done, cute, fun and sassy all in one! So we are all excited to have her as part of the family!~ Sometimes in a family so big you can often times feel a little lost or not part of things occasionaly....
but I hope they both feel all our families love for them now and forever!

{ Me Thinks...}

source 1825

1. Oh my this little girl turned 7 today! I can hardly believe so much time has passes already here she is along the way...here's a little of her story...in a post from a few years ago......

2.....we just had a fun quiet family party...Happy Birthday L you make life fun, entertaining a little crazy....your our little rose in the thorn of boys surrounding you....
WE LOVE YOU!!!
L got a piggy bank from aunt D and uncle M she loved it!! Thanks guys, and she got the scooter she's wanted "forever" and barbie clothes from her brothers, she was happy! She went to the pool with her brother got lots of hugs and skor cake and fun fun fun! I just realized the 7 on her cake is backwards well for us it is not her :)

 3. Our garden is so crazy out of control I've never been into garden or excited as I am this year its amazing how much better fresh food tastes straight from the garden yum...can you tell I'm a little excited :)

4. I'm loving all the new fun things for the new school year from printables to new clothes, new school supplies, I'm weird I know but its exciting a new year full of adventures....but check out some of these fun back to school things..... I love this one found here
and This one from 1825

5. Love these lists...
6.. and this one to help me get through the rest of summer heaven knows I need any help I can get ha ha!....I'm trying this challenge out..... I failed 2 already passed 1 and 3 so I'm working on them all every morning I see what the days is and try to do the ones that I need to be better on as well :) from imom.com

7. Okay ME THINKS this isn't by me today and I hope its okay that I use this but I was blog hopping this morning
and since lately I've just felt like the worst mom, with the rowdiest kids.... the ones that can't go anywhere without causing a scene, or their fighting or their always bored and I can't find  enough for them to do after the windows, garbage, pool, yard, game, and rooms have been cleaned and vacuuming is done, I'M JUST TIRED... I feel out of control some days and just a general feeling of out of balance inside and out, out of routine, out of schedule, out of control
where I wonder if I'm teaching them anything,
or if they will learn respect or not to act like they have self control in public
{is that to much to ask??}
or how do I even teach that??} does it come please tell it does....
Anyway my friend Andy wrote a guest post here
and what she wrote jumped out at me and was just what I needed to read so I hope she doesn't care that I'm sharing it here because I couldn't have written it anywhere close to the way she has.... she is amazing she has five kids too... and gives us all something to think about...
8.
"In my mind, doing something deliberately means to do something with a purpose. What is my purpose? As a mother, a home-maker and a wife? To provide a sanctuary for my family, to teach my children, to provide the unconditional love, acceptance, and clean laundry that they need. I need to teach them how to be confidant, to have self-control, and to serve others. I want to teach them about the gospel, the prophets, the Savior and His love for them.There are so many things I could list here.Is it a ginormous job? Yes! Do I feel under qualified? Yes!But can I, day to day, do small things to work towards my many goals? Yes. If I am doing them deliberately.Sometimes, I forget and I pick up my book or decide I need to have a clean house today. I forget that neither of those things teaches my children.

Finding balance between the many “jobs” we have to do in life is my ultimate goal in life.

But I find if I deliberately put down my book (or the phone, or the Windex) to jump on the tramp with the kids or to help them bake some cookies, with the idea of spending quality timeteaching them along the way with my children, which ultimately teaches them some of the things I previously mentioned, that we are all happier.. I remind myself many times throughout my day that I need to teach my children (and there are so many things to teach!). If I can do all the things I need to do in a day, including my little ones and , I'm doing my job. I just need to remember it's not about having a clean house, or the best dinner, it's really about teaching them how to clean, cook (and all the other stuff too!) and be happy while doing it!"

9.. Headed out camping with the fam one more time before the wedding showers and wedding comes all within the next 2 weeks.... for D's brother the last of 9 kids there are now 18 of us that is insane let me tell you it  provides some interesting life lessons with so many people in my family with us six kids so 12 all together....add the kids in the mix but I wouldnt' want it any other way fun times :)

10. and 9 is all I can think of so have an awesome week and think about this one:

{Me Thinks its about time...}

{{Finally got a new song on here too... so turn it up enjoy and listen awesome lyrics that actually mean something}}

Seriously crazy how fast time flies I think it goes by faster and faster every year the weeks fly by, the kids grow up and it feels like you are continually running and thats life--
it happens and thats how memories are made of days gone by.
So our life keeps getting busier and busier and I find myself reflecting a lot on what really matters and how it will be remembered by the kids. By my attitude.... if I'm grouchy, impatient or if I let it be.....fun, entertaining, a learning experience or just biting my tongue on the things that don't matter as much as the happy memories will.
 Its all about time, place,  and choosing to let go and just be.
So who said summer was a lazy time we are always on the go to a family thing, a bbq, boating, camping, getting ready for a wedding in a few weeks, starting to get appointments and schedules filling up to get ready for school :)
We did get away last week with some friends camping, boating, shopping, talking, laughing and breaking up fights, taking away toys and generally the same stuff we all deal with daily just a different place but despite that it was a lot of fun! Just seeing D relax and do NOTHING is worth every minute......love THIS MAN!

My crazy family especially my brothers ha ha ! We should have stood in order I'm the oldest doesn't matter but would have been fun height wise of course I have a good 3 inches with my shoes :)  My little brother had their baby blessed on Sunday evening  so that was exciting and we are so happy for all of them. Asher is so dang cute!
Unfortunately the picture of us with my parents didn't turn out hopefully I can get one from somebody else :) On Saturday after our hometown parade and heritage day fun we had a bbq/ unbirthday party grandma throws for everybody every year this year she and my sister in law Mani made 7 little dresses for the girls they were so excited. To me it was fun just to have everybody together again...
Crazy to think that we are all married have our own kids and are now in this stage all together... I look around and am so thankful for all these little kids running around...and that they are healthy and happy....and making memories and traditions all of us together.
Fun times..

We have zucchini peas and onions lettuce in abundance!! So we have been trying some new recipes this one is so so good...recipe here

---------------------------------------------------
 Me thinks
....Because I've been thinking about what kind of example I am to my kids and what they will remember about me in years to come, and that all the little things are what shape a child and make them who they will be and how they see the world......they are always watching us and we can speak all the words we want, but our ACTIONS speak louder than words.
When You Thought I Wasn’t Looking
When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you hang up my first painting on the refrigerator, and I wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I thought it was good to be kind to animals.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me, and I knew that little things are special things.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I believed there is a God I could always talk to.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, I felt you kiss me goodnight, and I felt loved.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it’s all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, I saw that you cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn’t looking, I LOOKED….and wanted to say thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn’t looking.

{10 on Tuesday/me thinks ..}

1. So not that anyone reads blogs anymore anyway ..but missing so many of my me thinks mondays always gets me thinking to much sometimes ...but  summer is crazy.... and so busy everybody running here and there we've had such hot weather its been so nice to actually get out and go....

2. I have found this summer so hard to keep up with the kids every time I turn around somebody is fighting or getting into something and I can't keep up, I have no time to get some of the things I need to get done. My house feels messy and not kept up, which makes me feel kind of out of control I suppose anyone would if you like schedules and routine as much as I do.

3. I'm tired.

4. Spent all day Saturday boating got fried.... but it was so fun and the kids loved it too playing with cousins swimming, tubing ez- skiing it. I love making memories!

5. Monday we went on two hikes with all the kids in one of the most beautiful places.. it was awesome and they did amazing! Then we boated again all evening, then had a big family party roasted marshmallows/hot dogs....long day! Got home at midnight and M slept in till 10 which I don't think he has ever done in his life!!! I love my little family....

6. We saw a grizzly bear yesterday too. AND tourists are crazy they went right up to it and snapped pictures~ oh wait I guess I did the same thing {but I didn't get out of my vehicle!}

7. I'm so thankful for all we get to do and for every minute I have and every year that I'm given. They all pass to quickly and though sometimes they may be frustrating its okay I get to be a mother I have a great husband and we all have our challenges. But  as I watch my kids grow and learn its hard to think about time passing and what we are doing. Every minute we live, breath and walk is another minute we have to be thankful for.

8. I think a lot I know and I love to watch people I read something that really stood out to me it said

"One of the most important parts of life is realizing that the things you do affect other people. You can't do anything without it impacting someone else, and they impact you too. You're more then just a face in the yearbook or a name on paper.....and so is everyone else"

{"DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU'D HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU"}

We all have our stories in life and our decisions greatly affect others especially. We all make an impact on others in some big or small way depending on our choices. We need to be kind to everyone no matter what we look like on the outside we all have our stories, our own feelings and our own life experiences that bring us to who we are today.
I think about that alot.
We are all to quick to judge.

 9. Funny the stages we all go through isn't it, most of my days right now consists of wanting to bang my head on the wall or take a long long run! this NOT sure what part of no don't they understand, what part of "you have a good life" and every child has chores to do..... and what part of do you even hear me talking don't they understand??
Oh the joys I know enjoy it I do, its a hard job sometimes though.
How do I help the child in my family who see's the Eeyore way of life instead of the positive good things??

10. And the reminder I needed today and I'm sure I'm not the only one.....

so have a good week...... be an ANCHOR...
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest accomplishment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
