My sister in Law Katelyn and her husband Hakon had a baby on friday so I am an aunt again and he is so cute congrats guys {on finally picking a name too!!!!} Spencer Kent!!
Then last night we went to D's parents house and enjoyed spending time with who was there and talking getting prepared for our June wedding in the family! Alley asked D to be the MC so now he is a little nervous but he will do just fine!!
Other then that Masen is loving his own room probably about as much as Kolten is, he is calmer and just maybe he is settling down?? Nothing better then playing outside all day having a bath and going to bed all clean eh!!!
It's easier to read and spend more time with each of them at night when they have there own rooms too its nice....

ME THINKS
"Trees that can stand in the midst of the hurricane often yield to the destroying pests that we can scarcely see with in a microscope. Likewise the greatest foes of humanity today are subtle and sometimes unseen influences at work in society that are undermining the manhood and womanhood of today. The test, after all, of the faithfulness and effectiveness of God's people is an individual one.
What is the individual doing?
-David O. McKay
What are we doing as individuals? I've thought alot about this quote since Sunday it was in our bulletin. Sometimes we are so much like TREES we aren't doing anything major that eats away at us, but the little things that slowly get at our souls and lessons our spirituality and ability to receive.
Little things in society like TV shows sometimes oh there's just a little swearing or a little of this or that. Magazines we look at. Movies we attend. How we see others and treat others. Here a little, there a little {thanks lynn} it all adds up to a whole lot if we are aware of all the subtle things that eventually turn into big things.
The things to our souls as pests are to trees are things like negativity, the blaming, finding fault in others, comparing and competitiveness, assuming things, judging others without asking or knowing among so many other things. Sometimes we don't even know what we are doing and it slowing gets at us makes us more negative and unseeing of what others need, our faith lessens, our feelings become hurt more and the little "pests" become us eats away at us. Unless me make a conscious choice to live how we know we should and put aside all negativity, the test for us is handling what we are given and live each day as we should be - more forgiving, more understanding, more giving in service, more faithful, loving, Christlike people.
I wish it was all that easy but it starts with us
-as individuals-
What are we doing?
{well for starters this individual is doing a lot of thinking and that's where it starts right!}

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
We don't need to wait for someone else to bring us happiness - happiness is a choice we can make at any time we want. You can choose to look on the good side of things and take life more lightly, or you can choose to think gloomy and sad. It's up to you. Life is the movie you see through your own eyes - it's up to you how you take it.

Hope everybody has a great weekend!
"As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think about your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey."
