{Me thinks....}
HAPPY HALLOWEEN Week!!
We finally got a toilet for the basement bathroom and a cabinet and sink so hopefully this week L will move to her new room and K2 will get a room.
I'm so excited to get it decorated and finished some things take forever... I can hardly stand it!!
Other than that everybody is feeling much better and nobody else got the flu {yet}
So the question of the day ??
Are you vaccinating for swine flu???
Here is an interesting article.... As of right now I don't think I'm going to get it for any of us.... I have never done the regular flu shot with my kids and whenever I have gotten it I've gotten the flu bad!
So what are your thoughts on it? read the article -- what do you think? Just interesting stuff out there....

{ "Rains will pour down".....}
holding K2 in my arms -
he was cuddled perfectly against me,
watching the rain come down.
I was thinking he was getting so big and so fun. I starting
wondering what life will be like for him and his brothers and sister, well what the future holds. Then this song came on like*, and I got tears in my eyes and I thought you know as long as they know how much they are loved no matter what, and that they will always be safe in my {our} arms.
That they are never alone.
Brought me a little peace. and a whole lotta love for my four liitle kiddos.
So here is my new favorite song {thanks kristyn lol} so turn up the volume and see what I mean.
{ps Thanks for all the comments on the last two post I am feeling much better today but its so nice to know we are all in this
together. That we all have some of the same thoughts and fears....}
Your baby blues, so full of wonder
Your curly cues, your contagious smile
And as I watch, you start to grow up
All I can do is hold you tight
Knowing clouds will rage
And storms will race in but you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down, waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms
Story books full of fairy tales
Of kings and queens and the bluest skies
My heart is torn just in knowing
You'll someday see the truth from lies
When the clouds will rage
And storms will race in but you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down, waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms
Castles they might crumble
Dreams may not come true
But you are never all alone
Because I will always, always love you
When the clouds will rage
And storms will race in but you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down, waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms, in my arms
As long as we all have someone to hold, and someone to hold us.Our Father in Heaven. Our families.
what's important.
We'll be okay.

{Me thinks Monday..}
She spends alot of time pretending and looking at the pictures she is growing up alot already!!
this truck saw us through our dating years, our early married years, college, university, jobs....
D got it when he got home from his mission,
now its a tinker truck {meaning a Saturday project for a guy..a Loud bombing around town or farm truck..good times with this truck. its a good truck but its time to say goodbye..
so she is for sale $1200..... anybody???
come on..... I know you want it!!
----------------------------------------
Me thinks
We need to hug our kids a little tighter
teach them a little more
discipline a a little better
follow through more
do more together as a family
know where are kids are
who they are talking to, "hanging out" with
where they are going
we need to....
get rid of the distractions
we need to be families
do more together, pray more together, eat together
and
make our homes a lot more of a sanctuary, where they want to be.
I learned a few things this week in a couple of meetings I attended that left me sick to my stomach, a little discouraged and disturbed at the attacks on the family and especially on our children starting at very young ages.
It is becoming a increasingly harder task to keep our children and our families wholesome, and protected from whats out there.
Kids thinking they are better then everybody else, the bullying that is going on
just because of the way you look or because you wore the wrong shirt to school because why
you are chubby or have brown eyes or whatever it is
where do they learn these attitudes
at home.
EVERY CHILD IS A CHILD OF GOD and deserves to be treated as just that.
What gives one the right to think they are better than somebody else?? It makes me livid to see other kids mean to each other. It ruins children. It ruins our future.
I think that the abuse of cell phones and texting can ruin our youth some are constantly on the phone talking, spreading gossip and other horrible things we didn't even think about when we were in school.
Do you know who is texting your child? or vice versa?
doing and hearing and seeing who knows what?
of course not.
I heard some horrible things about this very thing this week that made me never want to let my kids have a cell phone.
I don't even have one probably the only one I know, but I don't need one most of the time sometimes it would come in handy that's for sure.
I don't text. Never have. weird I know.
It makes me sad what lies and rumors get started over and through things like texting, facebook etc whether half true or not.... that ruin people. Its horrible. Its mean.
I mean Don't get me wrong there is good and bad to all things. I personally love fb because I have found old roommates, old friends I haven't seen in years and I love catching up.
I kind of feel like its ruining the way things used to be. Using up teens and adults time. Its changing the way youth and people in general think they need it like a drug...all the time.
Things are severely out of control.
Its sickening and horribly sad.
There are not enough parents now these days doing a parents job there are to many "friends"/ parent/ child relationships. We need more old fashioned parenting in my opinion, there are so many problems with the words "oh there just kids" we can't even afford to say that even once cause what it used to mean
look around" oh there just kids" ---
because there is a lack of discipline or a lack of any consequence these days
there is a lack of respect in today's youth it makes me sad to watch.
There are real problems.
Destroying today's youth, today's young adults, today's adults..........
out of control problems and unless
we do our job right, unless we fight for what we know is right
how can we expect anything to change??
It's scary. It's hard.
But something needs to change and its starts in the Home.
It starts with us.
“Perhaps there has never been a time when we had greater need to pray and to teach our family members to pray. Prayer is a defense against temptation. It is through earnest and heartfelt prayer that we can receive the needed blessings and the support required to make our way in this sometimes difficult and challenging journey we call mortality.”
Thomas S. Monson
Have a great week

{ Thankful Thursday...}
And for a great big brother who sat and read to his brother for more that a 1/2 an hour and put his brother to sleep reading to him! love my kids!!
-----------------------
We know what they've been going through having been there ourselves not to long ago, and it is horrible...... its full of every emotion out there and a million other things, prayer is about the only thing that and each other that gets us through times like this.I felt for them during their whole ordeal cause not so long ago we won too and now he's three!
How thankful I am for that.

It'll make your weekend. Have a good one.

{ Thankful Thursday...Thinkin...}
The husband you have {or wife?}
Or maybe just a house to live in or your cat to keep you company.
Or the children you've been blessed to have however they have come to you?
Do you ever sit and ponder how you got to where you are right now?
Ever think about what made you who you are?
Ever think about the choices you've made whether right or wrong got you to where you are right now?
Do you ever sit and think why was I born in this time period?
Why wasn't I born a Jew in Nazi era?
Why wasn't I born a pygmy or whatever?
Why are we where we are?
Because I know we are meant to be just where we are at the time we are supposed to be.
That's why.
and I am so so very thankful for that.
It could be so very much worse.
Yesterday I sat and watched Oprah {and nie nie if you don't know who she is you need to go read about her} and bawled while I watched this
{okay its the only clip I could find out there and its only a small part of the show and its got Spanish subtitles...}
But I bawled cause we take so much for granted just the easy things every day are a huge task for Stephanie.
She is an inspiration to everyone of us.
Even on our hardest days they are NOTHING compared to the task of just getting out of bed for her, bathing her little kids,
I felt humbled and more appreciative of my family and all that I do as a wife and mother.
We take so much for granted.
No matter what stage in life we are in.
It could always be worse. look around.

picture courtesy sophie blackall artand some random thoughts...
Next month is National Adoption month and I always start getting emails and messages about all the upcoming adoption things happening so naturally my mind turns to heavier things like the whole reason I'm involved and blessed by Adoption.
INFERTILITY. That big ugly word.
It makes me so
thankful for family, friends {and blogs} who are going through the same trials as so many of us are, isn't it nice to know that we aren't alone?
Whatever your trial is you are never alone.
Mine happens to be infertility. yours could be something totally different.
But for me its infertility....I've been there. I'm still there after 12 and half years and to know that others feel the EXACT same way.Somehow it makes things a little more tolerable , makes me feel validated or maybe a little more understood in my reactions in the past or my choices.
That I'm not alone.
I remember over the years feeling so bad for having to leave a room when hearing another baby is coming or was just born, another announcement ....and as happy as I was for them it pierced something inside me like a bomb going off, that made it better for me
to leave quietly and sob loudly alone elsewhere.
That's how I handled it because I thought it was best so they could have the excitement they fully deserved. Which to others could be misunderstood for something else but knowing that I'm not the only one who reacted this way that so many others do somehow helps me to feel better?! Or rather not alone.
I have felt strongly twice now that two of my children came at the exact right time for me {all of them but two of them really fast} when a whole bunch of babies were being born around me, baby showers, announcements everywhere..... I think that HE know I would be okay if I had a baby right now and five years ago right at the right time FOR ME.
AT THAT TIME AND THIS ONE.
That I could handle the emotion in me, the pain and the longing.
I always thought just being a mom
would take all the other pain away
it helps yes, but its always still there hidden.
How can it ever really go away? I think it just gets easier to manage and accept over the years. Never easy. We all still have Faith I hope that it will happen and I know there is a plan whether here of after this life.
and I know that we are never alone, ever.
Its hard to want something so bad though always, but some of us almost feel guilty for thinking we just like to get pregnant at least once, but on the other hand feel so blessed to have the babies we do that it feels like its being greedy to want it still does that make sense?? and not being able to do anything about it leaving it up to the Lord is a hard thing.
Feeling so alone or awkward at so many functions family, church where ever..... because you have nothing to share and somehow the topic of discussion with women always turns to labor and delivery.
I have four children yes, I don't take one day for granted when I look in their eyes every morning I am beyond thankful to my Father in Heaven for my KLMK2!
and for each one of their amazing birth parents!
Each month its still something that's there
{tucked away}
like a hovering infertility cloud
{not lately of course... I have a baby}
but I'm getting older and feel like I've learned a lot from the past especially that
we all handle things differently.
I think we all need to be more tolerant of others we don't know what they are going through. We can't take offense so easily that it rots in us for years and we hang onto it.
We have to let it go or we will never be fully happy.
We can't assume we know what others are going through unless we have walked in anothers shoes.
and above all its nice to know we aren't alone our Heavenly Father is always watching over us and He hears us. He will not give us more than we can handle.
He gives us each other.
I've learned that some like to talk about it hash it out. Others keep the pain inside. That's why its nice to know we aren't alone in our actions and thoughts when there are so many out there suffering the same way.
Whether silent or loud.
But I'm so thankful for the empathy and the learning lessons I am
learning every step of the way. We all have a long way to go.of course. But I still have hopes, dreams, and Faith that
someday
it
might
happen. to. me. too.
But I am at peace right now at this point and time and I am thankful everyday for the trial I have cause who knows what it could have been right?
WE are not alone
in any step of the journey
what ever journey we are on or whatever battle we are facing.
cause everybody is facing some kind of battle everyday....
okay..thats it
HAVE AN AWESOME WEEKEND!!!
Monday, October 5, 2009
{Me Thinks ....}
Time does go by so fast I think I say that every week but its so true I still feel like he is ten! it was fun to spend time together, plus sunday we got to see alot of D's fam too for dinner and it was general conference this weekend we caught as much as we could but look forward to reading or watching what we missed I love General Conference!
But I am happy for my brother and hope they have a great life together working towards Eternity....
Here are a few pics from the weekend!!
They had two awesome photographers can't wait to see their pics
by these two:
here
and
here!
I love my family!!!
Crazy as we all are that's what makes life fun!!!
I thought it was awesome so I'm sharing it...
Its written by a 15 year old in Ohio:
New Pledge of Allegiance
are not allowed in Schools anymore
because the word "GOD" is mentioned
A kid in Ohio wrote the following....
NEW School prayer :
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom thing..
The law is specific, the law is precise..
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks..
We can carry smut, but not the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
Seems to me that we need GOD more than ever in our lives, in our Schools, in our Homes and definitely in our Communities... Nothing else seems to be working.... you get rid of God you lose....its obvious don't you think???
Well thats what me thinks anyway lol!!!
Have a great Fall week....
I think we skipped fall here and went straight to winter!
