{Me Thinks}

Ten ME THINKS Because it works today. And I need it.

1} I'm an aunt for the 30th time since we've been married welcome to the world beautiful little Brynlee Dawn & Congrats Rustin and Kristyn.
2} Have you heard this music before {turn up your sound :) GO HERE Composer STEPHEN J ANDERSON....I love soundtrack music of a lot of movies so this music is right up there and the fact that they are hymns AMAZING!!!!.. It is inspiring, moving, strong and completely amazing! I love music I love the feeling good music brings I love the talent people have in this world and that they share it with all of us! My new favorites oh my...I Love it!!  I bought the whole thing last night I love the one playing and count your blessings. He has lots of other CD's too.
CHECK IT OUT

3} Somethings will never be fair or understood and sometimes those hurts and fears come right to the top with a fresh reminder around every corner lately. So many blessings, so many heartaches and so many hurts all around us. No matter how hard we think we have it..... all it takes is turning around and seeing what is happening around us and that keeping our feet planted moving in the right direction is THE only way to face....or the heartache is far worse on a path you don't want to be on and those thoughts and feelings are best cried out long and hard, regaining strength and remembering why we are here.

4} Its been a long week. Its been a hard week. Sometimes there are times in life where those ugly negative thoughts and doubts shout at you that..... Your Not good enough..... Your house isn't good enough......Your chubby....Your a loser.... Your not a good mother...Your prayers aren't heard...You can't do anything right....You suck at your calling....You feel that No matter how much you hurt inside its not going away....that you are insignificant....

5} And then you hear a talk that makes you bawl because it speaks right to you...amazing really... what words can do... ....we are all the same inside we all have hurts, longings, desires, disappointments, goals and wishes for our lives....they don't always play out the way we think they should...BUT

"if we spend our days waiting for fabulous roses, we could miss the beauty and wonder of the tiny forget-me-nots that are all around us.”

Forget not.... TO BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF....THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOOD AND FOOLISH SACRIFICES.... TO BE HAPPY NOW....THE WHY OF THE GOSPEL....and THAT THE LORD LOVES YOU."

...."wherever you are, whatever the circumstances may be, you are not forgotten. No matter how dark your days may seem, no matter how insignificant you may feel, no matter how overshadowed you think you may be, your Heavenly Father has not forgotten you. In fact, He loves you, with an infinite love.
—President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

AND then I remember I AM NOT ALONE.

6}  Loving the nice days but I'm over the constant heat and sweating house but love that we got to go boating on Saturday... Happy boys in my house:) I'm kind of ready to wear boots and sweaters but I also know that before to long we'll all wish it was summer:)

7} A tragedy an early death... happened in the town I say I'm from {say because I moved there when I was 15}ANYWAY...I feel like seriously some parents of this generation.... need to step up and be real parents....
let kids have consequences....
stop trying to do everything for them....
stop trying to be there best friend....
No kids are perfect but stop covering for them....
So many kids get away with everything or mom and dad GIVE them everything and they feel entitled to the world ...
KIDS are mean PARENTS are mean to each other maybe if the moms {dads} were nicer to each other too these children would learn from better examples it blows my mind seeing parents act like they are in high school!!! Petty stupid judgy.....AND we wonder why these youth act the way they do....LOOK AROUND and SEE WHAT THEY ARE REALLY DOING!! {not everybody there is a lot of good but really its scary!}

8} I seriously have some of the best friends we may not do lots together but the the phone calls, little notes and drop offs mean so much just that they are thinking of me and see an off day. Great examples to me to do better at that. Those are the kind of friends every girl needs:) Thanks girls!

9} I'm realizing that in my calling as primary president some Sundays or weeks are so HARD {or any body's job or calling in charge or running things and people} YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYBODY somebody will always think they could do a better job...But if I'm doing the best I can do and I'm on my knees everyday... I have to feel good about that. I hate that I can't do everything right or remember everything or make everybody feel the very most important and not forgotten. I'm also aware of the great girls I get to work with dedicated and hard working, but its hard to please everybody and WE never will. DO the best YOU can do and that's really the best WE can do!!

and because we all need a little HAPPY... its time for a

{Me thinks...}

Another week, a day late, a week crazier life as we know it....with that comes the good the bad and the depressing ha ha.... but rise above is a great saying for this week....
because thats life and it ain't always perfect....
I have been sick for two weeks everything from flu to sinus coughing sneezing you name joys ....oh well thats life....
Well we've been eating breathing football
HAPPY NOTES...
...5 games within the last week four of which were K's
1 was the first town game all fun to watch
{although honestly don't think I'll ever get it ha ha} but i love to people watch and see people thats fun...
K seems to be really enjoying football though and that makes me happy...

......SO after a year.... we finally found out who L's friend that made her year last year somewhat better than most of it was....she could never remember this "new friends" last name so I always wondered who she was playing with...  come to find out she is a really sweet girl a grade older than her who plays wonderfully with L....AND I know her mother and family from growing up in the same town pretty much...
small world I thanked her for her sweet daughter helping make L's grade one year better....her little friend also invited her to her baptism which happened to be Sunday ...so I took my awkward feelings and took L to it...she loved it and so did her sweet friend....anyway it was nice to finally find out who this mystery girl was from last year!

....K2 learned how to climb out of his bed last Saturday night so funny he got out but the boy who loves to sleep cried for mom and then promptly said "sleep in" pointing to his bed he got out but couldn't get back in...cutest kid ever:) he hasn't tried again either! So let's hope he doesn't for awhile! {and just because this picture is so cute}

.....went to a reception for a cousin on saturday night and ran into a favorite blogging family I met through blogging so fun to hold there sweet, beautiful little baby girl and talk it was fun:)

...have I mentioned my roaming boy who leaves for hours sometimes and invades peoples home's, seriously he is such a people person makes himself at home where ever he is. My poor new neighbors....
I just hope my neighborhood knows that they can send him home as soon as they see him because nine chances out of ten he isn't supposed to be out! But he is a sneaky one....  and then I get pictures sent to me like this

 oh my M where ever he is... is home love him...but can't wait for cooler weather so I can keep him a little more contained:)

....burb broke down {again} such is life.... and we had to rent a little car a Nissan sentra just to get to everywhere we needed to be its kind of nice having a little car..so we are in the market to get one soon...what is your favorite?? this is what we are driving its so nice a little out of my price range though but it is really nice!

.....Made this recipe it is so good from the "mmmms" and second helpings I'd say it was a keeper...found here

....we made these too super good.... goey to work with but the kids loved them too...found here
love this subway art that I have up in my living room mantel right now perfect for September...found here

have you smelled some new scentsy lately?? just ordered some and can't wait to get some new fall scents....I ♥ fall...
biggest loser starts again can't wait!!!!!

ME THINKS...
Always something on my mind but this time its kind of pet peeve day I can do that right its my blog..lol....but really..

1st. really ...a 1/2 hour sit com what happened to the clean, funny ones? Oh yeah there aren't any!!!? They are all extremely sexually based from comments to suggestion, last night for 10 minutes i watched one won't say what one but I was disgusted and changed the channel ...pure garbage ...it amazes me what some people think is funny and what we let our guard down to think things are funny or let it slip by or support somethings that are so morally wrong and the reason these shows keep playing is because they are watched...and because we laugh and let it slid like its okay because by and by it becomes the normal WHEN it clearly isn't the normal but thats how it becomes that because people laugh and think its funny!!
What are we really watching and think is good?
When years ago we would have been appalled??
But we become immune to it,  then the wayward things are meant to look just fine or normal or accepting  and they become not so bad or common place.  Before long it is the society we live in,
the society we now have to raise our kids in because we let it in our house,
because we thought it was funny.
Guess what It's not funny.

2nd. This is not intended to offend or hurt anyones feelings in relation to any aspect of adoption this is strictly my opinion and our experiences.
 ADOPTION and openness
We LOVE our children's birth parents all of them they made the biggest greatest sacrifice  for these children and because of them we are mothers and fathers... and have a family.
but more and more it seems that the openness levels are changing because of more and more outspoken people are making others think that is the norm or whatever.
Each to their own situation I know that each one is very different from experience.
In our family WE send pictures & letters at certain times throughout our children's lives to their birth parents. I love getting the pictures ready I send a lot of them and I put time into the letters going to them. But we do not have visits and parties and gift giving and such with any of them {not because we don't love them} but because we are a family and these precious children are sealed to us as if they were born to us. Part of the plan in our church and with adoption.
It may work for some all the power to them in the states this seems to be more of the way things are going.
We were told by caseworkers & and through others experiences after asking what they thought of this growing trend of a lot of openness.... of visitations and all and they told us "it is for the best interest and well being of the child to not go there" and I know others will have a varied opinion on this and  knowing that every single situation is different. Not every party of adoption is for it even if it happened...... meaning there is malice, suing and hurt and lies against us just to have a family....we become the brunt of that sometimes. For doing nothing but wanting a family and finally after years receive this beautiful miracle only to be tainted sometimes by the offending party wanted to disturb things and make and shake things up..... we were SUED by one of our children's birth  families three times was not easy probably one of the hardest times ever.
We don't want to ever feel as though we are just babysitting our children and of course we have never felt that way.... we have wonderful birth mothers three of which I have spent time talking to hugging and seeing in the past year.
I have no problem with this I enjoyed it and loved seeing them again. They who have all agreed to the way we do things in order for them to move on have families and marriages  and working on there lives of  there own. Knowing that everything they wanted for these little ones is being done, a mother and father, an eternal unit. Happiness. I know that a day doesn't go by that these beautiful women don't think of these children I would, but hopefully over the years this pain has lessened a bit as they see what they always hoped there children would become and hope to become.
My children know their birth mothers names and the birth fathers the ones that were involved, they have pictures, they know they are all adopted and one day if they chose to meet there birth mothers/fathers we are more then happy to help them.
But now there are enough things in a child's life to handle, we have social, medical histories and know a lot more then years and years ago  that we have nowadays.
Of course often there are questions that come up that we wish we had answers too sometimes. But we feel that we are a family unit as normal and natural as any other child and family..especially with four children all different situations if one had that and the rest didn't  how would the other feel?
Causing more questions and more thinking?
I know every situation is different and believe me there are some I would never want visitation with that contradict every value and moral we stand for. The complete opposite of the things we try to teach our children.
So its frustrating to me that people start thinking its the norm when it isn't, and in the eternal scheme of things these birth mothers and fathers will be blessed beyond measure and hopefully with eternal families of there own as I have my own because of them and for that I will be eternally grateful.
 {{I hope this made sense I always get people asking my opinion on this subject since its kind of close to home so I am just truthfully and honestly giving you an answer and what has worked for us.  Lots of opinions and thoughts on it. Doesn't mean its wrong or whatever if someone does.}

“The challenges you face, the growth experiences you encounter, are intended to be temporary scenes played out on the stage of a life of continuing peace and happiness. Sadness, heartache, and disappointment are events in life. It is not intended that they be the substance of life. I do not minimize how hard some of these events can be. When the lesson you are to learn is very important, trials can extend over a long period of time, but they should not be allowed to become the confining focus of everything you do. Your life can and should be wondrously rewarding. It is your understanding and application of the laws of God that will give your life glorious purpose as you ascend and conquer the difficulties of life. That perspective keeps challenges confined to their proper place–stepping-stones to further growth and attainment.”

{Me Thinks...}

1.Life is so busy and nobody is blogging anymore where did everybody go?

2. I feel a little stressed the last couple of days, tired getting over being sick this past weekend ,trying to keep up with all schedules extra curricular stuff, vt primary well everything and feeling all sorts of different ways...guess thats life eh!

3.All of a sudden my almost 10 year old is aware of what everybody is wearing and thinks he needs them too...... so funny I totally remember those days. Though I think I was 12 before I got a clue.... Since school started he has come home and told us what he "needs" to get...and I say.... a job??  He did work mowing the lawn and babysitting so he can pay half if he really wants them... oh the joys once again.

4.M doesn't need glasses thankfully but thought that he really wanted them finishes his exam and says "So Dr. do I need glasses?" it was so funny Dr says do you want them? and M says "Yes" Dr says sorry there are bad enough ....it was kind of fun to watch! Thankfully he doesn't need them and L got to pick out new glasses yeah! Her eyes only get worse each time :(

5. Oh my got these from the garden yesterday..still amazing me that we grew these and are eating them wow I know your sick of hearing about it I just can't believe it still....

6. I think football is going to overtake our lives for the next few months fun to see K enjoy it though. a little tired maybe...

7. It's so quiet right now the kids are at school and K2 decided he wanted to go back to bed...time to sew cub badges on! Yesterday the kids were so so good it was like the perfect day don't know what was going on but it was so nice!

8. The burb broke down again we can't drive faster then 40 or it makes a horrible squealing  noise....seriously does it ever end ...The burb broke, the dishwasher broke {it works halfway}...the hardwood got deeply scratched from our couch that was missing its floor protector....our corner cupboard hinge broke....kids in school me broke....

9.I'm frustrated. To bad things don't always work out the way we wish or think they should. No matter what those things might be:)

10.funny.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Me THINKS

is for my children...I hope they know how very much we love them and want the very most for them but above all to learn what the
the important things in LIFE are.. and I hope each of us do too....
Wish I could say I wrote the following too but I didn't....
The Important Things in Life

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson, or to help you figure out who you are or who you want to become.

You never know who these people may be - a roommate, a neighbor, a professor, a friend, a loved one, son or daughter, or even a complete stranger - but when you lock eyes with them, you know at that very moment they will affect your life in some profound way.

Sometimes things happen to you that may seem horrible, painful, and unfair at first, but in reflection you find that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, willpower or heart. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness, and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, whatever they may be, life would be like a smoothly paved straight flat road to nowhere.

It would be safe and comfortable, but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet who affect your life, and the success and downfalls you experience, help to create who you are and who you become. Even the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are sometimes the most important ones.

If someone loves you, give love back to them in whatever way you can, not only because they love you, but because in a way, they are teaching you to love and how to open your heart and eyes to things. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.

Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from those moments everything that you possibly can for you may never be able to experience it again.

Talk to people that you have never talked to before, and listen to what they have to say.

Allow yourself to be happy because you have every right to. Remind yourself always that you are the blessed Child of God, and believe in yourself because unless you believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you.

You can make anything you wish of your life. Create your own life and then go out and live it with absolutely no regrets. And if you love someone tell them, for you never know what tomorrow may have in store.

Learn a lesson in life each day that you live!
Today is the tomorrow
you were worried about yesterday.
Think About it? Was it worth it?

President Dieter F Uchdorf says
"RISE to the great potential within you.
Don't set goals beyond your capacity to achieve.
Don't feel guilty or dwell on thoughts of failure.
Don't compare yourselves with others.
Do the best you can, and the Lord will provide the rest."
Have faith and confidence in HIM, and you will see miracles happen
in your life and the lives of your loved ones.
The virtue of your own life will be a light to those who sit in darkness.."

{Me thinks...Happy Is....}

K2 has a saying in our house and its "Happy" when someone is sad, mad, upset or hurt he is the peacemaker around here at such an early age all he has to say is HAPPY and looks at you with this be happy face...this little boy

makes me so so Happy...so this post is dedicated to HAPPY....
Happy is... the first day of school....
just have to add love his "mom don't take any more pictures of me your embarrassing me" FACE oh so fun to bug!!

oh HAPPY HAPPY!! for me ha ha for him he loves school and couldn't wait to go! My little wild child Mrs B should have lots of fun with him around! K2 will miss playing with him in the mornings...

Happy is TRYING NEW THINGS...

HAPPY IS ....SPENDING TIME TOGETHER
Happy is people who stand up for what they think read this cause i feel same

HAPPY IS....all these boys having fun together for hours
HAPPY is....... having good friends and hot days
HAPPY IS...looking forward to things like this

 Happy is...... new recipes your kids love!! Made these last night the kids and D loved them !! Vintage Recipe found here
{picture source joey}
HAPPY IS.....making others happy..... my sister and my dad both had birthdays on Saturday so I thought I'd make something {or make them laugh } But Happy Birthday you two love you!

HAPPY is .....what a few of his answers to a getting to know you questionnaire  K did for school....... made me

Q: What would you like to be when you are older?
A: I want to be a cowboy, like my dad.

Q:If you could be an animal, what animal would you be and why?
A:I wold be a horse because my dad works with horses, and he is my hero:)

Q: If you were deserted on an island what is one thing that you would make sure you have?
A: My family because I love them and then I could hang out with them too!
HAPPY. YES.

ME THINKS

HAPPY IS.....
something a lot deeper then pretending to be
sometimes it takes a lot to FEEL happy some days
because between all the trials, sorrow and heartache
we need every opportunity to find the happy......around us, within us and there for us.....
 happy can be being grateful and those are things to be happy about and the older I get I realize that HAPPY is
Many things and everyday I look around  me and see all the things that make me happy and make me feel so blessed and happy to be where I am right now of course there are always things/or blessings we wish for but being happy right here and now is so important....
What makes you happy...What makes you tick...what do others do that determine if your happy or not...if we choose to be happy and just be happy not much can offend us or make us shift our whole day because of something someone did. Start small find your HAPPY...
because....
.....and that happens so much....because we are always waiting for the next thing or event or whatever it may be to be happy, for school to start for another miracle for this or that..... but if we realized that its now and some days we have to dig deep but when we get to a point where...
....then we find a little more peace in our lives...
Choose Happy
Be Happy
Think Happy
-------------------------------------------------
WHAT'S YOUR HAPPY?
Have an awesome week...
