{Me Thinks....Don't Blink....}

cause......
Another week will fly by!!! Thursday and Friday was no school so that was extra fun finding things to do we got the play dough out on the back deck and the kids spent forever playing with it. I kind of wondered why I didn't get it out sooner this summer.. Duh!! Oh well!
Summer kind of flew by too!
Friday night I actually got out of the house and went to a girls night so fun! Then Saturday bright and early D was out in the yard helping the top soil spreaders such a long day.
So we had another busy weekend with four kids, a very busy and hard working husband, and lots going on it makes the weeks fly by.
Its hard to believe my baby -- baby will be 8 soon!! And L is getting so big and grown up loving school and new friends
---- Kenny chesney has it right when he sings DON'T Blink!
Before you know it they are big kids! Your babies aren't babies anymore
You've been married for a long time, you become the middle aged couple but you still feel like the young married couple with a few kids or none at all whatever it is...then you realize thats how your parents felt and old people are just young people in there..crazy to think about.....
but we are going to enjoy the journey as it comes every stage along the way.....cause one day we will miss this......

..Laughing....I love this picture me and M laughing and K2 wondering whats going on!the looks....."MOM why do you take so many pictures of me!!"
I promise I don't have one picture of his beautiful big smile when we bring the camera out he refuses to smile for it or me!

all the craziness.....noise and ......No wonder K2 never wants to look at them they are all trying to get his attention all at once! I love watching them with him. They love to entertain him... one of my favorite times is story time just before bed with all of them! Saturday night we had a lot of fun reading, playing ....one of those times where you go to bed thinking it was a good day! Lots of fun memories!
{L was feeling better too so it was a really good day I was beginning to worry that she had swine flu not really but kinda!}

story time...........milestones.....Almost 3 months crazy how times flies! sitting up bumbo style and no shirt because it was stinkin hot!!!.....and my big boy today look at those big blue eyes !! {{What would we do without a soother!!}}milestones.....Look at my yard its getting there!! The top right side is garden boxes and in the corner will be the shed and a big sand box, along the back will be some pine trees, in the top left corner will eventually be a fire pit and cement pad, then on the left bottom will be the trampoline and play center and bottom deck!! ALL in time but I am excited D has worked the entire year so hard between the basement and back yard!!
----------------------------------------

ME THINKS....
sometimes in life we all make choices
sometimes I feel sad for the choices some make....
sometimes it hurts to watch people go through
the consequences of their choices....through trials...heartache....
sometimes it only takes choosing the left fork in the road
instead of the RIGHT fork.....
sometimes there is nothing you can do
sometimes just watching and learning from them is the best choice....
life is all about that....choices..attitude...determination...no matter what....
Every Time each choice determines which direction the future
takes each of us
because of our choices and how we CHOOSE to react
what fork we take in the road makes all the difference.....
I hope we're all working on taking the right fork..
---------------
You are the person who has to decide.
Whether you'll do it or toss it aside;
you are the person who makes up your mind.
Whether you'll lead or will linger behind.
Whether you'll try for the goal that's afar.
Or just be contented to stay where you are.
-anon

and finally....a....
sneak peak of my almost finished {crafty} project
for the wedding this weekend so excited
they are turning out so cute!
{thanks Holly!!}

sometimes I wonder if I should go private but I love all the people I've met and continue to "met" I love sharing my testimony and what is very most important to me in this life and the next to come.
I love peoples advice that I normally wouldn't get if or understand somethings if it wasn't for them and the support and love I feel from others who have been where I am.
Seeing others faith, trials, heartache has helped me so much. It has given me more empathy and made me more appreciative for the trials that I have. people are genuinely good people.
I'm thankful for that.
I'm thankful that K loves piano lessons.
I'M THANKFUL FOR GOOD MUSIC.
Thankful that... yeah thats all I can think of and thats saying something for the week I've had lol!!
But I am most of all thankful for a loving Heavenly Father and pictures like this one... that remind me that no matter how bad my day is its okay cause at the end of the day when I kneel down to pray. I know there is Someone that loves me, that HE wants what is best for me and that He understands me, and HEARS me.
Isn't that AWESOME. To KNOW. TO FEEL IT. Thankful. Yes. I. AM.

I LOVE MY BOYS....
{and of course my princess but this is a boy post remember}

Boys in my House
Author: Erin Jo Kilmer

There are boys in my house – and Spiderman shoes

And 200 papers in various blues.

There's Bob (he's a builder) and Thomas the Train,

There's a fireman coat to wear in the rain.

They have cars on their shirts and frogs on their hats

There's a glove and a ball and a red plastic bat.

There's dirt on a face and a smudge on a nose;

Grass stains on knees and sand between toes.

There's bathtime at night with bodies to scrub,

And when we're all done there is dirt in the tub!

There's bandaids and bruises and curious bumps,

There's smiles and laughter and sometimes there's grumps.

There's odors most icky; there's boogers so green

There's more yucky things than I'll ever get clean.

There's piles of laundry; there's stories at night;

There's bedtime and bathtime and dinnertime fights.

There's cars and there's trains and there's books about trucks

There's Scoop, Lofty, Dizzy, and Travis, and Muck.
Sometimes there are bugs, and sometimes there are frogs;

Sometimes they are lions, or dinos, or dogs.

There are cute little vests and darling neckties

Dragged right through the mud – oh what a surprise!

There's running and climbing and jumping and falling

And laughing and crying and hugging and brawling

And rolling and losing and finding and creeping

And whining and stealing and sometimes there's sleeping.

There's tantrums and time outs and extra loud noise –

There's love in my house shaped like three little boys.

{Thankful Thursday..}

HOW TO BE THANKFUL

{from wikihow}
Do you take many things in your life for granted? By looking at the world a little differently, you just might realize how much you have to be thankful for. Here's how to stop and smell the roses.

Pay attention to the people around you. You will find that everybody has something to worry or complain about, not just you. It's easy to focus on those who seem to have it be, what could've been, and what you don't have.

Recognize what you do have--whether you like it or not, it's yours to keep or to change. Accepting your lot in life is not about resigning yourself to unhappiness. It's about not wasting time wishing for what you don't have. You could try writing a list of things you want, and things you have. Consider the thought that many less fortunate people will want some of the basic things that you have.

Become a problem solver. Use your lemons to make lemonade. Get in the habit of asking yourself how you can turn the negative into a positive. The most successful people in life, and those who have the most to be grateful for, are also those who've endured tremendous trials and managed to persevere and turn it all around.

Learn to see hardship as a chance to develop character. Imagine yourself looking back ten years from now and recounting your difficult circumstances, and being proud of how you handled it and worked through it.

Develop a gratitude journal. It's pretty simple. At the end of every day, write down five things that have made you happy or appreciative that day; not necessarily big things, even small ones count.
For example: 1) nice weather, 2) being thanked by a customer at work, 3) children, 4) having people who love me, 5) or a funny joke to tell everyone.

------------------------------

If you can't be thankful then here are
20 Ways to Maintain a Healthy Level of Insanity

1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hairdryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.
2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.
3. Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want fries with that.
4. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "IN".
5. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone has gotten over their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso.
6. In the memo field of all your checks, write "for smuggling diamonds".
7. Finish all your sentences with "in accordance with the prophecy".
8. Don't use any punctuation.
9. As often as possible, skip rather than walk.
10. Order a Diet Water whenever you go out to eat - with a serious face.
11. Specify that your drive-through order is "to go".
12. Sing along at the opera.
13. Put mosquito netting around your work area and play tropical sounds all day at work.
14. Go to a poetry recital and ask why the poems don't rhyme.
15. Five days in advance, tell your friends you can't attend their party because you're not in the mood. 16. Have your coworkers address you by your wrestling name, Rock Bottom.
17. When the money comes out the ATM, scream "I won! I won!"
18. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot yelling, "run for your lives, they're loose!!"
19. Tell your children over dinner "due to the economy, we are going to have to let one of you go."
20. And the final way to keep a healthy level of insanity . .
make someone smile and laugh. Its called therapy..

----------------------------------

SO I'm thankful for humor where would life be without it!
We love to laugh
my husband makes me laugh,
my kids make me laugh
{this picture is like 4 years old- compliments of jill alston photography}
and being with my family and friends always makes me laugh!!
Some of my funnest times in life are the times with my sisters,
my D, my kids laughing till I cry!!!
Good times some of the best moments in life are spent laughing!
Have a great weekend!

{Me thinks Monday...}

Me thinks this Monday
I am to tired to even think
after a very long day of
a very fussy 2 month old
a very disobedient 3 year old
a very whiny 5 year old
and a very tired 7 year old....

but if I were to think
it would
be on judging
we had an great lesson in RS yesterday on
FRIENDS
what makes a good friend?
what makes one feel like they have friends? what makes one feel accepted loved and apart of a group of friends?......
Lynn added this in the comments that the teacher in her ward told, I think its perfect so I'm adding it here:
"A true friend is TRULY and sincerely happy for another person. Not just says "Oh I am happy for you"......and then talks or grumbles or complains about them in their head.
A true friend is SO happy for another person that they really mean it.
....... Even when that other person has a son going on a mission and yours did not.
....... Even when that other person's husband got another job after only being laid off two months ago and your husband is still unemployed after 1 year!
...... Even when that other person has just received another child and you still are trying for just one
......... Even when that other person's daughter has found love at 19 and is getting married in the temple, when your daughter is 23 and still has no one to even date her.......etc, etc.
"WOW! So true. True friendship is TRUE and sincere Friendship.
No matter what. {-thanks lynn}
my answer or thoughts on it were
if
we got rid of the judging
everyone would be more considerate, compassionate, understanding,
helping and aware of others...no matter what
the secret thoughts of others and ourselves
at that instant first impression second or third impression
judging happens every time
with thoughts like these...
...she's to pretty
..she looks to smart..
.....she's to skinny
...she's to talented
...she has kids
...she's to loud
..she's to quiet
...she doesn't like me... i think
...COMPARING is a big problem
the route of maybe???
COMPARING AND JUDGING
go hand in hand.....
I live in a little house
she lives in a big house
who cares really
who cares
does that make you who you are inside?
NO
We need to look beyond what we THINK
and stretch ourselves to find out a little more about
someone else
just because they don't act look or play the part we think they should
doesn't that give us more reason to extend ourselves
give of ourselves and
find a new friend
maybe in the unexpected
cause we are all fighting some kind of battle.
So maybe we should stop judging.
It's kind of like this for example...
go here

"if you judge people, you have no time to love them."
just a thought {and a laugh.}
from a tired girl.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK.
{ps ever find a song that is perfect for your day? and think I needed that
turn up your volume that's mine today....}

{Concentrate on this sentence...}

"To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did."
When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.
Concentrate on this sentence...
'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

THEN I READ THIS TODAY
and I am so thankful for these words by one of my favorite people!!
{ensign sept 09 President Dieter F Uchtdorf}

RISE to the great potential within you.
Don't set goals beyond your capacity to achieve.
Don't feel guilty or dwell on thoughts of failure.
Don't compare yourselves with others.
Do the best you can, and the Lord will provide the rest.
Have faith and confidence in HIM, and you will see miracles happen
in your life and the lives of your loved ones.
The virtue of your own life will be a light to those who sit in darkness..

I needed those.
I felt a little better.
Don't you.

{oh and PS. loving this I could cry!!! oh wait I have...
so happy for them!!!!}

Thankful Thursday.....

{Me thinks...}

EVER FEEL LIKE THIS??
SO IT BEGINS...

Will update soon been a long weekend! literally!
so for me thinks something to think about....

ME THINKS
FAMILY

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,

"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me, too;

I wasn't really watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.

We went on our way and we said good-bye.

But at home a different story is told,

How we treat our loved ones, young and old.

Later that day, cooking the evening meal,

My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

While I lay awake that night in bed,
God's still, small voice came to me and said, "While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, But the children you love, you seem to abuse. Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
You never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."
By this time, I was feeling very small,
And then my tears began to fall.

I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.
"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you. I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."
I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway."
I said, "Son, I love you too, and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."

Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family----an unwise investment indeed, don't you think?

-------------------

So true some days are better then others

WE JUST GOTTA KEEP ON TRYING ....

AND ASK OURSELVES...

DO WE TREAT A PERFECT STRANGER BETTER THEN WE TREAT OUR OWN KIDS AND FAMILY SOMETIMES?

JUST A THOUGHT

HOPE YOU ALL HAD A PERFECT WEEKEND!!

{ Thankful Thursday...}

"There are two words that, when spoken, have the most unfathomable power to completely change your life. Two words that, when they pass your lips, will be the cause of bringing absolute joy and happiness to you. Two words that will create miracles in your life, wipe out negativity, and bring you abundance in all things. Two words that, when uttered and sincerely felt, will summon all the forces in the Universe to move all things for you.
There are just two words standing between you and happiness, and the life of your dreams...
THANK YOU!" -the secret
thank you......
---------------------------------

I am Thankful the babes shots are finished for today, both L and K2 had shots and a little bit of a grouchy day...fun times.....

I'm so very thankful for the last 2 months

------------------------
I am thankful the yard is getting somewhere mapped out and seeing some progress happy day! Next summer will be so much better with a fenced in back yard and friends who can come play mine that is ha ha!!
------------------------
I am thankful
To be a member of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
because you know without faith, {whatever religion you may be} without faith and hope, without knowing where we are going and what we are here for, that there is a plan before now and after it could get pretty depressing in a world like we live in today.
I'm pretty sure I would be lost without it.
I have a testimony that grows each day stronger especially in a world like today
and I only hope I can help my children have the a passion for a good, clean wholesome life filled with the Gospel and
that they learn the very most important things in life!
The things that make us eternally happy.
-----------------
There are so many horrible things in this life some that have bothered me the most this week and have made me bawl and wonder what people are thinking or even how people can act like
THIS
and
THIS
{warning they are both very graphic and will make you cry.}
Things are happening all over the world the hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, weird weather are one thing but the more soul wrenching things
like acceptance of things once forbidden or once looked down on that
quietly seep into society things that soon become the norm, things over time
that
slowly corrupt the family unit as GOD intended it to be and
life as it used to be not to long ago.....
are the things that are destroying society and the world.
It makes me try to work harder and do what I need to to work harder at home
to teach my children, to be a better example and to teach them the way our
Heavenly Father intended things to be here on earth and
before really --- all hell broke lose---
cause that's pretty much where we are at isn't it?.
I am so THANKFUL for good examples, to be able to go to church each week and to hear my children tell me stories of Jesus or what they learned in their classes each Sunday
or to want to do a service project or make something for somebody.
That makes me happy.
I want them to know the way life
used to be when life was a lot easier without
so many corrosive behaviors and attitudes and sludge everywhere we turn
that defy or fight against us, there is such
a war waging to destroy what is most important....
the next generation.
our children....
the family...
us..... if we make a wrong turn....
so I am thankful for prayers and for every good thing life has to offer
the wholesome... peaceful... clean...inspiring...
things.
The world is pretty much void of so many of these core values.....
I can think of many good things that out number the horrible things that surround us and that is important to remember or it can pull us down...
so make some memories,
find a teaching moment

and be an example....
you never know who is watching...

okay I'm done my rant ...
