{ Dreams Goals and Reality...}

" A goal without a plan is just a wish."

SO I made a plan years ago quit my dreaming & decided if I wanted it bad enough to fulfill it I had to work  hard enough to achieve it! SO save and save and save I did with all my hundreds of earrings made I  did many trade and craft shows to fund my trip to Europe and guys I did it!
 its booked planned and soon!
AHHH my dream bucket list!
London Paris Scotland and Ireland!!!!
I'm so stinkin excited I can hardly stand it a little nervous a lot excited!! Seriously thank you!! To everyone who bought from me over the years can't fund a dream without some flow and I have to say I am pretty proud of myself for working hard these past 4 years and saving literally all the cash to fund it.
I feel like I wanted it bad enough to work for it and its finally here and a part of me doesn't want to see my dream end but really its just the beginning who am I kidding ha ha;)!!!
So Kinda like my marriage its 20 years this year in a few weeks!! We've worked hard and though sometimes it seems like its only been a few years not ancient old 20 years later;)
Together we've built a beautiful family been through school jobs and moves but through every bit of it we've
lived laughed and loved
....  cried many tears spend hours on our knees & learned tough lessons, had up and downs and many highs and lows along the way but I can tell you there is nobody I'd rather spend my life and eternity with them D:) .
I'm really excited to be spending all this time away with him  see who we are again;) and just maybe we still like each other when we are with each other 24/7 ha ha
Life is so short we have to realize what matters most..... before its gone or one thing or something changes everything in a split second, if we want something hard enough we work hard to earn it and it goes both ways.

SOO in other news kinda have a sports break the last month till Soccer and softball starts ....

K had a great end to b-ball and is taking a break this spring besides shooting and skilling it when he can..... Right now he through himself into Golf he loves it so he's already started that is golf a sport? Anyway he loves it so whatever..... He's such a good kid almost 6'1 and crazy tall eats like crazy at night but not enough to keep up feeding all these kids might put me in the poor house ha ha.... He's had a good year found some good friends and is applying himself or should I say trying to apply his self to his work etc ..... but overall he's had a good school year... He's my right hand man with D gone so much we have great laughs great talks and I love watching the young man he is becoming love him to the moon and back!!

L is loving cheer leading still.....she  has grown leaps and bounds ha ha in all that she has done its been great for her. She has had a few frustrating JR high moments this year but we worked through those and she has done amazing!! so proud of her!
We don't grow quitters here ......you commit you work through hard things because we can do hard things right:))
She's had a tough year grade 7 is that isn't it finding yourself learning to apply what you learn and then all the girl drama ahhhh!!! We shall make it;) Still my sassy stubborn determined girl:)
We love you Ms sassy pants....

M is M this boy is growing up he is the best cleaner up dish doer I have partly because he knows how to play me and get what he wants;) but hey if your going to do your chores fast and good heck yes you can play no complaining for both sides he gets it! He loves pokemon trading and makes money off the simplest things is the worlds best kid player and watcher he's so good with kids and keeps a good eye on them and knows what they like. He's such a good boy busy as ever and never tells me a single thing about school ever! But he's doing good in all areas and that's what counts love our Mater man!!!

K2 is soaring this year really, really growing up loving school his teacher and learning to read and hating to study but when he does he gets 100% smartest little boy full of knowledge he loves to share with all:) HE seriously is the sweetest boy he sees the needs of others and loves to give that needed hug smile or I love you! He loves music not so much practice his piano but we have a friend who has bands come and do concerts and he loves loves watching them play different instruments and picking out the rhythm its so cute! He is a learner!
and can't imagine life without our little gentle peace keeper boy!! Love your guts k2!!

Thoughts.

  1. Start early. “Columnist Sydney Harris was once asked by an anxious parent, ‘How can I get my 16-year-old son to mind me?’ He answered simply, ‘Shrink him down to six months and start over, differently.’
  2. Effective communication. Parents should spend a great deal of time listening, not just telling. This listening should be done with an open mind and heart. When children feel they can talk freely about their feelings, problems, and successes, wonderful relationships develop between parents and children.
  3. Enthrone love and unity. It is important to make your children aware of your love and feelings. This can be done by a hundred little acts and gestures, such as tucking children into bed at night after listening to their prayers, offering a comforting arm or ear even though he or she may not be hurt very badly. Encourage children to support each other through attendance at ball games and concerts where a family member is participating.
  4. Do things together. Vacations and recreational activities, also family work projects, give parents a good opportunity to teach the importance of developing a good work ethic. Doing things together gives a child and parent an opportunity to share their attention in a common objective.
  5. Provide opportunities to learn how to be independent and responsible. Teach children how to make their own decisions, even if it involves their failing once in a while. We need to help children come to an understanding such as Lehi taught, “knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon” (2 Ne. 2:26).
  6. Discipline with love. “‘Discipline’ and ‘punishment’ are not synonymous. Punishment suggests hurting, paying someone back for a wrong committed. Discipline implies an action directed toward a goal … of helping the recipient to improve himself” (William E. Homan, “How to Be a Better Parent,” Reader’s Digest, Oct. 1969, pp. 187–91). Discipline should always be with love.
  7. Service. In his great farewell address, King Benjamin taught, “When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God” (Mosiah 2:17). There are few rewards in life that bring greater feelings of satisfaction, joy, and peace than when one gives meaningful service to a fellow being standing in need.
  8. The last and most important is to establish a “house of God.” The instruction the Lord gave the Prophet Joseph Smith in the 88th section of the Doctrine and Covenants referred to building a temple. Yet this verse of scripture also beautifully describes the type of home we ought to have.

"Knowing where you are going and how you expect to get there can bring meaning, purpose and accomplishment to life."
    Elder Ballard

    HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WEEK
