 January chapter 1 of 12

Oh my another year kinda came and went ahhhh I think I blogged once but better that than none. I still love blogging because I want that record of my children growing up. Though it's crazy how many years have gone by and they are so old and so grown it hurts my heart. But I love to see that lessons learned the growth of each year and the struggles we learned and went through together.

Our baby boy K2 is 9 and growing up so fast and I enjoy every small moment of childness I get with him and the love he has for me and to hang out with me still:)  to feel his little hand in mine and his daily needed hugs sometimes brings tears to my eyes because its true you don't remember the lasts of simple things like that till they are gone and passed....

......and Because before I know it he to will be 12 like his big brother M who is becoming a pretty awesome young man who is taller than me now not hard I know;) and ready to fly he thinks;) jr high has been fun to watch him learn how to make it learn how to study and use his time wisely.... how to determine between right and wrong and like all of us a few mistakes along the way corrected and moving on... he is a riot and still feisty strong and independent and a really good football player when he finally got it down but he loved it and being busy and the challenge it presented:)

.....and then before I know it he too will be 14 like little ms. L not so little anymore .....though but who is blossoming into a strong beautiful young women inside and out one who is grounded in what she knows is right..... and yet stubborn as a mule in her path sometimes, but shes delightful, aware and loving and concerned about others and there welfare. Its a beautiful thing to see. She is talented, smart and loves the gospel and has a strong testimony which means the world to me and will take her so far if she continues to do as she is doing.......because soon enough she too will be pushing at the door to get out like my....

She got braces and contacts this year too.....ahh stop growing up!

.....my sweet boy K who is 6'6 and 17 years old now and  practically an adult {so he thinks;)} grade 11 and handsome as ever ...... he's had his ups and downs but mostly ups and ups kinda just keeps growing ha ha he's talented, strong willed and loves basketball and serving others without complaining when we send him out:) overall he's a good boy who I hope I've taught him right from wrong .....truth and light and most of all how loved they all are more then they will ever know  ......

BUT how do I know if everything I've done is enough?? how do I know if when mistakes are made I could have done more or ....been more aware or is it my fault ? We teach, we serve, we give for years and years and ultimately part of being on this earth is our choices.
We have a good life, we are amply blessed and given a path and its all about the choices we make for all of us.  I only hope everyone of my children holds tight to that iron rod and never lets go, because more than ever we need that rod and so much more.  We live in such a disturbing, messed up world.
I so hope my home is a heaven on earth a shelter from all that outside garbage yet  I know I can't protect them from everything or be there for every choice but I hope we've given them the solid ground to always fall back on, that strong foundation that builds over the growing up years. I can hardly more than ever stand the thought of any of them leaving I know that's why we raise them up to go and do and be..... men and women of strength, honesty...... goodness with outstanding character  and testimonies of the strongest faith to make our world and homes better places.
---------------------------------------------
So lets talk about 2018-2019

It was a rough 2018 for us lots of money out ....lots of struggles and decisions  and change....and lots of growing together just a lot of stuff to deal with and work through together. Thankfully we are all healthy, and stronger and more dedicated to what matters together....and I'm really hoping 2019 is our year to flourish and grow and get ahead and find more depth than ever more meaning and more courage
SO in really thinking of what I wanted my goals and my word for the year I really thought about it and wanted something that inspired me to be more so I choose
because like I've already wrote on fb etc
I want to RISE above negativity around me and inside me, I want to RISE up and strengthen my faith, testimony, family and home.
I want my kids to RISE up and be stronger in all they do .....
I want to keep rise "n" early and rise "n" up to embrace what hits us together so we can all RISE up for a common goal and watch out for each other and learn and grow through each one...
So kinda like rise up and lets be more:)

I love it and I am excited for the new Church curriculum home study because we so need it in this day more than ever.  Going to 2 hour church is a change but the added hour at home will be a blessing to all our families in doing it and studying it together. In doing this we are creating a situation to really ponder where we stand, where we are, where we want to be how deep it runs how much more we can learn together..... because we all know life is short and we only hope we can withstand the crazy around us by strengthening our walls and building them up in our hearts and homes.

So after my last post we had summer fun here there and mostly here;) but it was summer the kids had fun and ran and worked and  played hard when it was done we were all ready to get back into life routine and schedule you know me I kinda thrive on that right:)  but here are a few pictures from summer:)
A trip to Utah with friends in august for our favorite Charlotte Romney's wedding:)

To tally lake as soon as I got home L and I headed down through some montana fires

Then home to our own ranch fire a couple weeks later such devastation sickening loss

kids running  playing wild and free all summer , hikes to waterton

Some from FALL and Winter too: Back to school, football, halloween, birthdays

Christmas was great and a new year now 2019 so insane!
The last of the teen years any of us will see......

“To live greatly, we must develop the capacity to face trouble with courage, disappointment with cheerfulness, and triumph with humility.” ― Thomas S. Monson | Meridian Magazine - LDSmag.com

Lets make it a great year month ....day and everything in between ........no matter what
rise up with courage, cheerfulness and humility:)
Aren't we all just trying to help each other make it through♥
