Love this poem because it reminds me that the simple mundane things are the things to be thankful for::
Soccer is running our lives right now always running
but when we slow down a bit........ I see the reminders of what I have are all around me everyday.....
the greasy hand print on the wall,
the crumbs on the floor under the stools,
the books laying around,
the backpack thrown on the floor,
the socks in random places
the unloaded dishwasher
the half eaten snack on the counter
THE THINGS that keep me busiest are the four little people that keep me happiest despite how much we run, despite how much needs done.. I have way MORE then I ever thought I would. And that is something to be thankful for................ so the greasy hand print is staying for awhile to remind me how thankful I am for the little ones that put it there!
THANK YOU LORD ...
Lord, thank you for this sink of dirty dishes;
We have plenty of food to eat.
Thank you for this pile of dirty, stinky laundry;
We have plenty of nice clothes to wear.
And I would like to thank you, Lord, for those unmade beds;
They were so warm and comfortable last night.
I know that many have no bed.
My thanks to you, Lord, for this bathroom,
Complete with all the splattered mirrors, soggy, grimy towels and dirty lavatory;
They are so convenient.
Thank you for this finger-smudged refrigerator that needs defrosting so badly;
It has served us faithfully for many years.
It is full of cold drinks and enough leftovers for two or three meals.
Thank you, Lord, for this oven that absolutely must be cleaned today.
It has baked so many things over the years.
The whole family is grateful for that tall grass that needs mowing,
The lawn that needs raking;
We all enjoy the yard.
Thank you, Lord, even for that slamming screen door.
My kids are healthy and able to run and play.
Lord, the presence of all these chores awaiting me says
You have richly blessed my family.
I shall do them cheerfully and I shall do them gratefully.

Easter....
I love this time of year its my favorite time new season, new grass, buds starting {maybe soon??} and a renewed love for the Gospel, the atonement and the love our saviour Jesus Christ has for each of us. He died for each of us and was resurrected and he LIVES. What a blessing to me to know that he loves me and that he died for me. I am so glad that I know that he LIVES and that we will live again when we die.
