{Sundays Story....and Me thinks..}

{this is so cute what a great idea eh! can't remember where I got the pic from either want to say BHG?}

CHRISTMAS TIME
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male
and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer
drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to
mid-December.
Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the
spring. Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting
Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen,
had to be a girl.
We should've known…....
ONLY a
Add Image women would be able to drag a fat man in
a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost.
needed a good laugh this week...{thanks jennie}
--------------------
So what happens when you try to get some good pictures after church??? hum this maybe...such happiness eh..or this.... K2 knocking them around...awesome..ha ha I see a lot of future wrestling matches....but then I got a couple semi good cropped ones....
I sure love these kids. I feel like one lucky/blessed mommy to have these four beautiful children!!! My little miss Land her three brothers...---------------------
so this is a fun link...
Check this out I did it for all my kids and they were amazed it was so fun!!
Try it !! My kids thought it was so real and can't stop talking about how santa knew where they were.
Its pretty fun!{and funny to watch the kids get their personalized message} I heard them talking about how they would be getting a certain toy for Christmas because Santa told them they would.... now thats faith eh!! lol!
--------------------------
and for an awesome giveaway that has nothing to do with Christmas but maybe some positive thinking towards spring... my friend Rebecca is having a giveaway here for a free mini session in the spring ....she is an amazing photographer!! we love her!! so check out her amazing website!!
--------------------
life update....
We have been so crazy busy around here had some fun things a couple parties and a fun mommy/daughter date with a group of moms and our girls who were so excited to see The princess and the frog but in turn gave L a nightmare just like I thought it would while we were watching it, some kind of scary parts for kids that scare easy!
But we had a fun day just us girls!
Its amazing what you learn being just one on one it was good for us.
---------------
.....and then some not some fun things to occupy our time and thoughts over the past couple of weeks.
.. K2 has been diagnosed with Nystagmus and will be going in for a CT scan this week to make sure he doesn't have a tumor on his brain that is affecting or causing pressure on the nerves to his eyes, not the news we were hoping for, but we will do all we can to make things better and all we can to make life easier for him, and hopefully he will grow out of it or we will be able to find what is causing it. Either way we want what is the very best for him and will do all we can.
So please if you don't mind sending some prayers our way for little k2 this week that would be awesome.
Me thinks
I read this quote this week and thought hard about it and had to read it a couple of times to fully understand it and its really true

"EVERY TRIAL IS JUST A HARD BLESSING"..

because lots of times we learn things about ourselves and what we can handle and what makes us stronger. I look at my family, my brothers and sisters, my in laws, my friends and people who are going through hard times.... really bad things sometimes. I see so many examples of
strength, faith and endurance that they've been through--some of the toughest trials out there. Some people feel sorry for themselves but for the most part people take what they are given and spend a lot of time on their knees, a lot of time searching asking why me even sometimes but enduring what they are given and through that give us all HOPE. Sometimes they are recipients of service which builds them up and those of us too with the opportunity to serve them.
Many blogs I read of people I've never met have touched my life in ways they will never know because of the faith they have had in the trials they are going through and what they are learning through all of it.
All I know for sure is that we have a loving Heavenly father who hears our prayers and sends others to help us, or teach us the things we need to learn. Or sends that one person at just the right time. We are watched over, protected and loved no matter how hard life is sometimes.
Life is a testing ground we aren't alone, and we aren't given anything we can't handle
He never said it would be easy, only that it would be worth it. So I'll do all I can here and now. Because every trial is just a hard blessing.
True.
I think so.
-------------------
Have an awesome week full of Christmas fun!!
{{We have piano recitals, ballet recitals, dr appointments, play dates, pac meetings, a family party, a staff party, among everything else!! always busy but this is my favorite time of the year {although I could do without the minus 40 below frigid temps we are getting!}}
But hey pretty sure it'll be a white Christmas!
positivity right...something like that...
everyday...
Merry Christmas...

I agree with your quote...every trial IS a hard blessing. I have gone through several hard blessings, but in the end, am grateful for each one! Good luck with the scan.

Hey Christal!
Your children are just beautiful! I love their matching vests and L's dress. I'm glad you found an answer for K2, things will be alright. He's a healthy strong boy. (and he has the faith of hundreds around him.) Hope you guys have a fabulous Christmas.

I will be praying for K2, Christal! Bless his heart. Your pictures are so funny. I could NEVER get a good picture of all four of mine at the same time. It's so hard when they're little!

We'll pray for K2 also. He's such a cute little guy. Hopefully all will be well.

Oh Christal. I just had a feeling. I looked over at Dean this morning and said, "Christal hasn't posted since last Monday. I hope that she has just been busy and not worried about K2. I wonder if they received some news about his eyes."

I am so grateful that you now know what it is and that you will be able to take the next few necessary steps towards finding out more under and with the advisement from doctors. We truly are blessed to have all this modern medical equipment and stuff, eh? K2 will be just fine! He has YOU! ; D And of course, we will all keep you in our prayers. Thanks for your Me Thinks thoughts. It's so true.

Love the Christmas photos of the kids matching in their church clothes. So cute!

Hang in there Christal. {Hugs!}

Sorry to hear about K2, I will definately keep him in my prayers. He is such a cute little guy. I hope you all have a really good Christmas. We were in Magrath over the weekend and I always think "will I bump into Christal? What would I do if I did?" every time we're in Lethbridge. We're heading down again on Boxing Day and staying for a week, should be fun.

Trials suck, even if they make us better. But I'm sure you're relieved to have a diagnosis and a plan to find out how to help K2.

i get so behind on the blogs sometimes. i agree every trial is a hard blessing. i have had so many who have shown me that in my life. i am grateful to have people around me that stay postive admist it all, (the trials) my mr. being probably the best example i know. his was a hard blessing,but even though it was so hard for him (life changing really in ways), he realizes there are some huge blessings that came from it. (i don't know if that makes sense)

on a funny note i did that santa link with madi. her face was priceless. she kept saying that's me that's me. when he said are you trying to be nice to your sister she's all yes. she was talking to him like he would talk back. so fun!!
