{christmas sunday, birthdays and me thinks....}

....we snapped a few pictures before church yesterday.....its so hard to get a good picture of all the kids together plus chapped lips, impetigo healing faces make it even better..... memories! memories!
just goes to show that life isn't' perfect anywhere or any day but we all trying right and thats what counts!
-----------------------------------------
Today is K's 9th Birthday...
Happy Birthday to my little babe  ...
I honestly can't believe he is 9
---------------------------
What a blessing he was{is} to years of prayers, years of waiting and years of tears.... of heartache, of yearning for that little baby..... he came into our lives this perfect baby boy..... when I thought my heart would break and gave us the most wonderful Christmas present ever! He has a beautiful, selfless birth mother who saw more than just that day and time....and followed her young heart... I look at him now growing up into such a good boy with a good heart and I just pray everyday he keeps that spirit about him...he is wise, smart, good looking boy and he always sees what needs done....tells me he loves me and
makes friends where ever he goes
He is such a good kid I hope he always is
he is such a big help to me in so many ways
he loves to read
he loves pizza, ceaser salad, smoothies, apple crisp and carrot cake
he is a fast learner
he loves lego {might be an understatement} he can put anything together
he loves school
he plays the piano and was in piano lesson and will be starting again
he loves cubs and has got many badges already
he keeps a journal reads his scriptures
and sometimes reminds us of what we need to be doing..
he loves life he is a tease
he had to get glasses this year in September and hasn't taken them off since he got them pretty much!
he can get pretty mad especially if his brothers and sister get into his stuff...
when he gets bored he bugs his sister and brother
he is a clean child and works hard to get whatever he needs to do he loves a good challange and loves to work with his hands building things
and we just love him more than words!!!
------------------------------------
For his party this year D took him and three of his friends on Saturday to a movie and pizza hut then to Dq for sundaes and opening presents they all had a ot of fun and I got out of entertaining four boys and everybody was happy!! I have a great husband who does things like that! Thanks D!!
ME THINKS
Things I'm learning in my old age.
that kids grow up to fast.
when they say enjoy this time. really do it.
kids say and do really embarrassing things sometimes.
you can't please everybody.but you can try and do the best you can.
that I'm tired of hearing about justin bieber from my six year old.
that kids need hugs.
and have lots of questions.
that kids are kids. boys are boys. and girls are full of drama.
that most of what we are going through is normal and most people have it in common too.
that people get offended to easily and need to brush it off. stand up and move on.
that people will disappoint you even those close to you sometimes.
that if you learn to take the hard times and turn them into learning lessons it helps a lot more than turning it into something bitter...it only eats away at you and does no one any good....
that some of life's happiest moments pass us by before we realize it....
that we can't do everything and thats okay.
that I am very blessed to have the children I do and the husband I have.
that I haven't missed a Christmas at home since I was born and I love it.
That Christmas is my favorite time of the year.
and that it is a lot more fun with kids around.
that I hate laundry.
that each year is going faster than the last every time.
that its okay to be me.
that labels shouldn't matter its whats inside that truly counts but that the number or whatever label it is still feels like its pasted to our foreheads sometimes.
that people have no idea where you've been.
and that
life is as easy or as hard as you make it out to be.
and that is a few things I've learned.

~ Peace on earth will come to stay, When we live Christmas every day. ~
Have a great week....

I remember when Kolten was born and I got to see him 1 week old at your parents. Time flies! I agree when you say kids say and do embarassing things sometimes...I always feel like my kids are the loudest noisiest kids in church. Oh, and I think everyone hates laundry!!
