{ IT's Thankful Thursday }

Things I'm thankful for this week:

  • I'm thankful for Friends. I have great friends some of my greatest friends I haven't even seen for years or only see once a year if I'm lucky . But they are the kind of friends I can count on. Who care still after all these years. Who I love to talk to and can pick up right where we left off 2 years ago a week ago whatever!! Good times growing up with good friends great memories and a life long friendship. A friend emailed me yesterday just to tell me she loved me and what she thought of me, totally made my day! How often do we tellour friends or family how much we love and appreciate them? Just a thought.

  • I'm so thankful for my health for those of you who don't know I spent 6 years almost with dry, bloodshot, puffy inflamed, crusty, scaly peeling eyes inside and out!! Spent years on waiting lists went from specialist to specialist from eye specialists to dermatologist and back around. Until in September I was sent for patch testing on my back to see what I was allergic too. Which is the best thing I ever did-- it hurt, and I couldn't shower for a week but oh so worth it!! I am hydro cortisone free 2 1/2 months ( I spent 5 years on the stuff around my eyes every night) I'm highly allergic to Tea tree oil, gold, nickel, quatranium 15 ( so most baby products from wipes - shampoos what a coincidence since Kolten is almost 6 ) so many things, Cobalt, sorbitan sesquelote, isproplyl mystrate, tetrasodium 10, . Anyway I have whites now instead of bloodshot eyes !!! People would always think I was crying and always asked if I was okay ! Anyway so I'm thankful for patch testing ! New clinique makeup and a British line called Boots number 7 since those are about the only makeup I can use and I love it !! Its expensive but I'm telling you the difference is amazing between cheap and now!!!! Love it!!

  • I'm thankful for the Book of Mormon I took the 81 day challenge our ward relief society had and I am almost finished. I listen to it every morning as I'm getting ready. It makes my days go better. I learn so much more each time I read it. My days and relationship with others go smoother when I am reading like now. What a great blessing the gospel is in my life, we work for the Church, our children come to us through LDS family services, we have jobs in the church that keep us really busy and we love it!
Hope I didn't bore anybody! Merry Christmas!

NO kidding! I totally understand what you are talking about with the free babysitting thing. I did however find a really nice girl here in Portland who babysits for free for any church function...so she was "our" babysitter. I claimed her as ours and no one ever calls her except us and I love it...the kids love her too and she loves the kids. I wish I could bring her with us back to Canada. Oh well, now we'll have free family babysitters (aka grandpa and grandma!) which are just as good if not better!

YOu have a large amount of people that have visited your blog! I agree that if you go to a church activity or to the temple, you should not have to pay a sitter. Maybe you should just not pay the sitter when you go to church related activities and see what happens...lol. That's one of the reasons I had to bring Tanner to the R.S. party. But I totally agree with your question.
