.......means ONE GOOD THING and this week i'm having a hard time finding one good thing okay not quite true. But close seriously this week
-the computer caught a nasty EXPENSIVE virus they "may be" able to recover my pictures and documents i'm praying they will, if you haven't backed up your pics - do it!!
-then i've been fighting something between fluish and a bad cold so tired lately just not feeling to good anyway!
-my new garburator plugged our lines and took a 50 foot snake to reach it oh the joy eh!! its all good now ..
-our washer and dryer are having issues another nice expense for the appliance fix it man to come look at them and charge me bukka, for nothing really.
-what else is so awesome oh the pudding poop all over my floors in the basement and stairs - yes masen got into pudding and ate two whole containers of it yesterday -chocolate of course which to a lactose intolerant child comes out in about the same form it went in
except down the leg. yummy eh! tmi i know.
-on Sunday i had somebody tell me something so very rude about my 2 year old child that made me so sad, {and upset} that i had to leave the situation before i started bawling which i did for quite awhile afterwards. there are better ways to tell people things sometimes. it really hurt my feelings and made me think about how we react to others and what we say that we don't think about first.
really though in the end i realize that we all need to realize that KIDS ARE KIDS and sometimes people don't take that into account enough- especially being 2 year old kids and all. some kids are just filled with more personality and a zest and busy ness for life them some children. oh well it hurt but i'm over it now.
but seriously okay the
O. G. T about these days lately.....
is that i have been able to see how much time i waste on the computer just cause its there and easy to jump on for a minute which usually turns into alot of minutes,
{sorry for all the lower caps and randomness here its late and its D's lap top hard to get used to it when you never use it usually...}
and how much time over the last few days that i've spent
playing games with my kids
or just reading to my kids for like an hour and half tonight it was so fun!
or playing in the snow with them finally a little warmer today
and catching up on the things i haven't taken the time to do lately.
on the other hand me thinks though i also realize how much i miss the outside world and whats going on without a computer i feel kind of lonely, like i'm missing out on something. but with blogging i feel like i have friends that sounds so loserish i know. but its true i feel so inspired sometimes from what others write and i think it keeps us going sometimes and lifts us up other times and we learn new ways to do things, and keeps us going to have encouragement and strength from others! and really its so nice to know we aren't alone in this journey of life, that others are going through the same things have the same feelings etc.... i know you know what i'm trying to say. anyway yeah.
so i guess in all the chaos over the past few days those are my Good Things, cause even in the worst of days, and worst of weeks there is always
one good thing about every day!!
------------------
so yeah happy 2009 with a bang eh! oh well this will pass and it will be okay.
This week i also turn the big
33
that sounds so old i always thought people my age WERE old but i don't feel any older then probably 20 i've grown and changed but i don't feel old i guess we are only as old as we act right so i'm good for awhile haha!
i'm figuring it out every year that that's how it will always be and that those who are about 80 feel the same way its just the body that starts to shut down i guess! its hard to get old for me i feel like my time for ever getting pregnant gets less and less each birthday you'd think after 12 years i'd get over it but the hope is always there.
oh well i am so thankful have three awesome kids, and a great husband, and warm house, a comfy bed and food to eat, the gospel and friends, awesome sisters and brothers, great parents, wonderful in laws. those are really great blessings!
---------------------
last year i listed 32 things i had done over the years obviously i'm not going to do that again this year cause that would be boring and i'd only have one thing to add to it!
so for my birthday this year just tell me O. G. T about turning 33 ha ha or maybe a memory we have or how we met or a post that stuck with you anything,
33 comments for 33 years would make me feel like i have 33 friends and people that care about me.... for at least 33 seconds then reality would actually set in
and
i'd realize that i've learned alot in 33 years, have gained alot of memories and been through a few trials in 33 years, and hope to have and make a lot more memories and gain alot more in 33 more years! 33 will be a good year and hopefully i'll be around to share it I have alot to be thankful for and i am thankful for 33 years i've had! okay i'm really tired and this post is getting long!
- or
just tell me that getting older doesn't mean anything except another number! cause for some reason 33 hits a little harder then even 30 which wasn't bad at all, really they are the best years and they only get better!!
maybe its just the year i've had so far. well the six days anyway ha ha
Have a great day, week and year!! MAKE IT THE BEST YET!!

That is too bad about someone saying something about your 2-year-old. Recently I had 3 separate people say things to me about stuff and although normally I don't feel like I get offended very easily, altogether was kinda too much. It made me want to move and kinda for a while I didn't want to blog or anything. But oh well, people say things, and they probably think it is so we can do better??
But ANYWAY--happy birthday!!!! Didn't you know 30 is the old 20? :)
Umm, I meant the NEW 20. (whoops)
I love being 33! My 33rd birthday was awesome because I was in Raymond for the July 1st celebrations. I'm a Canada Day baby. Anyway, it was the most exciting birthday I'd had in years--family, friends, parades, picnic in Waterton, fireworks, you name it! And we even missed the huge storm that flooded everyone out that day in Lethbridge. So, it was a great day.
Happy birthday to you! I'm so glad to know you through the blogging world, and I'm determined to meet you the next time we get up to Alberta. My mom always tells me, "Oh, she is so nice!" Have a fantastic birthday, and a wonderful new year.
Happy 33rd b-day Christal. Birthdays can be hard but it is JUST a number and remember you are only as old as you feel. I tell people I feel about 18, so that means my kids are being raised by an 18 year-old, that explains alot. :-)
I love reading your blog, you always have such great thoughts!
Happy Birthday to you & make it the BEST yet. I feel like we have this mystery connection, my husband always talks about "D"....he sells the Ranch feed.
Best Birthday Wishes to you!

Here's to 33 comments for your 33rd birthday! I just wanted you to know that I know exactly how you feel when you said you are uplifted and inspired by your blogging friends because you uplift and inspire me.
Thanks... and happy birthday!
Happy Birthday!!! I have no clue what it means to be 33 but if I can do it with as much class and style as you, I would be a happy person.
I love how open and real you are on your blog - thanks for posting all the bad things that happen along with the good, but yay for finding OGT in the midst of all the other stuff!
When it RAINS it POURS, eh?!!! I tell you another great thing about blogging.....you have a REALLY bad week (roof is leaking into the BRAND new bathroom you just renovated and you go up to the attic to see a BIG pool of water where the snow is coming in from roof and ONE HUGE ice cycle formed, new shower head in other bathroom not working too well, van heater that you JUST spent $650.00 on getting fixed....STILL does not work.....etc. etc.) and then you get on someone's blog {Live Laugh Love} and realize that YOUR life ain't so bad. JKs. : D
What I mean to say is, that you realize that EVERYone is having their own ups and downs too. Blogger friends are AWESOME! You are awesome. Love to read about your life and how you try to deal with it. You are always so up beat. We'll just hang in there together.
And you know what's great about being 33? ..........you aren't 43! (Like me) LOL!
I like what Kayli said. 33 is the new 20. For sure. You are definitely looking 20 still.
P.S. Ignore the comments from those who are ignorant or jealous or envious, or have such low self esteem that they tend to make cutting remarks. Some do it on purpose and many don't even realize they are doing it. What matters is that YOU always deal with it with such dignity and self respect. That my dear friend is what makes you beautiful and classy. Love that about you.
HAVE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I am loving listening to your blog music - the cranberries! We have serious radio in our cars and I am a huge 90s alternative nerd. Okay, enough of that. Happy upcoming birthday! I can't say anything about 33 because I'm stuck on turning 29 in a month and a half. But if I can look as hot as you at 33 then bring it on!
I know exactly how you feel about Mason. I have gotten every kind of dirty look and overheard many hurtful comments for everything Roman does. The look is what I hate. That look of wow you are the world's worst mom from the lady in the store who has kids and should know better. He is a crazy two and a half year old boy. What do you expect. I shouldn't let it bug me, but it always does. Sorry you had to be so sad!
But at least your year has no where to go but up! Hang out with me, I'm cool and I will rub off on you so your year can be cool! Obviously I am a dork. Just ignore me. I didn't get much sleep last night!
I think people that are 33 are cool. I hope you have a fabulous birthday. I'm glad to have met you randomly - you are good with words. I love reading them. Life really is wonderful isn't it? We've all got A LOT to be thankful for! Thanks for helping us all see that better.
Okay, i found you through blog hopping, and i'm so glad i did! Just a few weeks ago i received i'm sure a similar comment from someone at Church about my 2.5 year old boy. I think i cried for days after that, and i've continued to recieve similar comments since then. It's awful. And you have to wonder if some people had perfect kids....which i doubt! I've wanted to tell people to just walk a little in my shoes, and see if you can do it any better. We as Mothers can be so hard on ourselves, and we don't need others adding to that! Kids are kids. Each of them comes with their own personalities, and i think that's what's so wonderful about them. They're all unique. Yeesh, this is a long comment! Anyways, i hope things turn around, and hopefully we'll be able to somehow tune those kinds of people out and just focus on the positive wonderful qualities our kids have!
Have a wonderful Birthday!!!!
i love that i found you while i was blog stalking and you totally took me in!! i love that you said pudding poop in your post. i love that you are so real and inspiring. i guess that was more than o.g.t but 33 deserves t.g.t (3 good things) right? hope the big day and the days leading up to it are awesome for ya! also, maybe in this 33rd year of yours we'll hang out too!
LOVE that you have Bella's Lullaby on here. I will now put it on mine. LOVE IT. Let me know what virus you have because my laptop has a virus and we need to take it in and get it looked at and I know it's going to be expensive so I just wonder what your is so that when they tell me what ours is I can gauge how it compairs to yours. Both of our computers are needing to be cleaned and overhauled.
I'm sorry someone was insensitive. Being one of those people that on occation speaks before thinking (although I do think, it just sounds better in my head) so I alway seem to be putting my foot in my mouth. I hope if the person had an inkling of how they hurt you that they'd feel bad. I feel bad. Anyway, I miss you. February is way too long until we meet again. And we need to do something at least by a monthly basis because once preschool is over we'll be done FOREVER (not that i"m not bursting in joy about that) but it means I'll never see you. WE need to be in the same ward. Sigh. Maybe one day. Anyway, I hope you have a better day! MIss you and happy happy birthday saturday!! love ya, L
Hope you have a Happy Birthday Christal! Way to be positive and find the good things. You deserve the best day! I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating!
SO sorry to hear about the poop and the poop that someone gave you about your two year old. I hate this...I have been in a similar situation as have some of my friends and it is so easy to take it personally like we are bad parents, but really it is the person with the problem that HAS the problem.
Also, taking a blogging and email break the past two weeks has been the best thing EVER for me and for my family. Glad to hear for you too.

I had the same problem with someone commenting about my 2 year old last Sunday in nursery. He had been hitting and throwing toys and the person who told me wasn't very tactful about it. I just tried to remember that I'm doing my best to work on these things with him and that nobody else has the right to tell me whether my parenting is good or bad. Heavenly Father knows that I'm trying my hardest, and that's all that matters to me. Hope you enjoy your birthday. I have no advice about being 33 since I won't hit that number for a few years yet.
Happy 33rd birthday Christal! I enjoy your blog, hearing about your mommy ups and downs (even pudding poop), listening to music (love Bella's Lullaby!), and being uplifted by your spiritual thoughts. I hope you and D can head out on a date together to celebrate!
Hey, the Bella's Lullaby song you have isn't the one from the movie, but I like it better. (I just found this out when I was looking on I Tunes). I guess there were a few unofficial albums inspired by the movie. Oh hey, now you have 18 comments ha ha!
Hope that you have a great birthday!! I have been having some days that I have to try SO hard to find one good thing about it. I'm sure if anyone was around me this week with Madi they would have a lot to say about her (okay probably mostly me and they way I handle things). I wish people would also think before they speak. A lesson for us all to remember. I hope that your birthday is wonderful, and you are not getting old you get better!!! we love you lots!
Christal, I don't know why, but in my bloglines account your blog hadn't been updating... so I came to check on you and you had 2 or 3 posts I had missed! Grrr. First off I hope you have a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sounds like you have had a rotten week, so hopefully it's a perfect day! You deserve it. I think your blog is one of my favorites! I LOVE all your quotes and reminders of what we should focus on! You are so inspirational to so many people. I am SO happy that we "met" through blogging!! I also think you have the cutest style, I want to dress like you! Did you say 33?! NO WAY! You look like a 24 year old! Seriously! I just love you! :)
Happy Birthday Sis! I hope you have an awesome awesome day! I love you!
This is late, but Happy Birthday. I love the song, bella's lullaby. It has become my favorite song as of late. Thanks once again for all your inspiring words. You have a way with words and I love all your quotes. Keep up the great blogging!
Before reading on...this is really Katelyn, I just have to figure out a way to get the name changed :)Happy Happy Birthday! You were a little hard to get a hold of but I hope you got my messages. I have a ton of memories with you but I think some of my favorites are from when you are Darren were dating and I always tried to get your attention...anyway possible! I remember coming for a sleepover in the chicken coops one night when I was doing basketball camp in lethbridge and we went on a walk and got blue slurpries with ice cream in it. It has been so fun to live close by again and do some things together. We love spending time with your whole family, your kids couldn't be any cuter. It was fun to have Lauren and Masen awhile ago for the morning, they are so fun to talk to and hear the ideas and thoughts running through their minds. Thanks for always being thoughtful and kind. I look forward to some more fun times together!
Love Kate
Heya!! Happiest of birthdays to you my friend!! I hope your day was incredible, 33 really isn't that old, like you said you're only as old as you act =) We're totally covered!!!
So I'm half tempted to leave like 8 different comments/memories, but I'll spare ya!! Couldn't resist one more tho. Great to read your blog finally! I'm always so uplifted by you, you're the best Christal! I'm proud of you for all that you do, you're a great mother, friend, and disciple of Christ. So glad we're friends. Lotsa love always!!!!
