-crafty chicks graphic
TO all the mothers who made me a mother
My Mother
My Mother in Law
and FOUR beautiful birth mothers who had the strength, courage, faith and love to place there babies in our home and to make me a mother. more times than I ever dreamed possible.
Life is full of miracles and they are mine.
I feel blessed to know and love each of these women.

SOME OF MY FAVORITE MOTHER QUOTES
Mother love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. - Marion C. Garretty
A mother understands what a child does not say. - Unknown
The hand that rocks the cradle is usually attached to someone who isn't getting enough sleep. - John Fiebig
There is only one pretty child in the world, and every mother has it. - Chinese proverb
A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. - Tenneva Jordan

God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers. - Jewish proverb
The phrase working mother is redundent. - Jane Sellman
All women become like their mothers.  That is their tragedy.  No man does.  That's his.  - Oscar Wilde
Mothers are the necessity of invention. - Bill Watterson
A mothers love for her child is like nothing else in the world.  It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path. - Agatha Christie
A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take. - Cardinal Mermillod

The commonist fallacy among women is that simply having children makes one a mother-which is as absurd as believing that having a piano makes one a musician. - Sydney J. Harris

All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe to my angel Mother. - Abraham Lincoln
-------------------------------
Elder M. Russell Ballard on mothering:
"There is no one perfect way to be a good mother. Each situation is unique. Each mother has different challenges, different skills and abilities, and certainly different children. The choice is different and unique for each mother and each family. Many are able to be “full-time moms,” at least during the most formative years of their children’s lives, and many others would like to be. Some may have to work part-or full-time; some may work at home; some may divide their lives into periods of home and family and work. What matters is that a mother loves her children deeply and, in keeping with the devotion she has for God and her husband, prioritizes them above all else."  “Daughters of God,” Ensign, May 2008, 108–10
 -----------------------------
“The most important of the Lord’s work you and I will ever do will be within the walls of our own homes”
-----------------------------------
You never know what a girl is worth,
You’ll have to wait and see;
But every woman in a noble place,
A girl once used to be.
