What a crazy week didn't even get thankful Thursday up with power outages, snow days and ranch crisis's with D's work and the loss of calves, running here and there, soccer, football camps, school stuff with each kid to say things have been crazy would be an understatement but here is a little of whats going on!
Life gets so busy!
I often need the reminder to...
SLOW DOWN

....Today IS Also our 13th anniversary crazy how fast time goes by I couldn't be happier with my choice so nineteenth century ago { I beat that joke to death today I know but I like it lol} and with everything that has happened over our lifetime together!
Ups, downs, 13 moves in that time, a BS degree and a Masters in that time, lots of jobs on my part before the kids, waiting for these four awesome babes and the work getting them here! And living each day as it comes and learning from each experience..... life goes by so quickly and before you know it your looking back and seeing that what you've been through and realizing it has made you who you are today as a couple and as a person!
That that is what life is....

my favorite topics... recycled
HOME FAMILY AND LIFE
"As you create a home, don't get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don't dwell on your failures, but think about your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband.
Be grateful for the journey."
-Marjorie Pay Hinckley
--------------------------------------
I got this and the quote above from the blog The Creative Homemaker
I love it it hit something inside that struck a nerve I guess and had to share...
"You are loved! Your Heavenly Father loves you. Your husband loves you. Your children love you. You have many friends and family that love you.
Sometimes we tend to forget that, or it gets lost in all the "clutter" of our everyday lives. You can't do everything, but you can do something. You would probably be really surprised about the number of people's lives that you touch. They are most likely looking at you and saying the same thing...."If she can do it why can't I?"
love this quote we can all start somewhere and do something!
--------------------------
Sometimes just being who we are, where we are and cultivating our relationships and life where we stand should be enough but always moving forward doing something.
We are always looking for more then we should sometimes we try to do it all, and soon find out that things get put on the back shelf that should be right at the front.
As hard as it is sometimes. It usually works out for the best.
We can't please everyone either no matter how hard we try, I think we need to spend more time on the most important things in our lives, and feeling loved and being loved by those around us. and most importantly loving ourselves for who we are not who we wish we were or letting the if only' s get in the way.
We get distracted to much by whats out there or things that don't matter and won't get us anywhere.
I really think that doing our best serving others and being examples does more for the soul and others around us then we have the ability to comprehend.
Our children, family, friends are watching and learning from us.
We need to eliminate the "clutter" in our lives and do what we can
knowing that we can't do everything.
but we can do SOMETHING.
YES WE CAN!!! {lol no pun intended.}

Today also happens to be Birth Mothers Day I can't let this day go by without giving honor where its due for my four children's beautiful birth mothers. For their strength, love and sacrifice. Because without them I would not be a mother. I hope each one of them knows how much we love them and that there isn't a day that goes by where we don't think of them and pray for them.
Birth mothers Day
She holds him
in her heart
And she remembers...
She remembers the magic
of the first flutter of life
She remembers the delight
of looking into his tiny face for the first time
And saying, "So there you are!"
She remembers the sadness
of letting go
And the incredible pain
of separation
She will always remember
what it was like to be his mother
to hold his tiny body close
Today we remember her
for all she has given
for her part
in bringing a miraculous life into the world
For the love she will always have
and hold
in her heart.

Sorry about the bad weather. :(
I love baby sign language! It's so nice to be able to communicate with your baby and take out a lot of the guess work! We've been signing with Mason for a couple of months now, and he's starting to sign 'diaper change', 'milk', and 'all done'. So much fun! Your little guy is adorable -- and I totally agree -- WHERE does the time go!??!
