HOW TO BE THANKFUL
{from wikihow}
Do you take many things in your life for granted? By looking at the world a little differently, you just might realize how much you have to be thankful for. Here's how to stop and smell the roses.
Pay attention to the people around you. You will find that everybody has something to worry or complain about, not just you. It's easy to focus on those who seem to have it be, what could've been, and what you don't have.
Recognize what you do have--whether you like it or not, it's yours to keep or to change. Accepting your lot in life is not about resigning yourself to unhappiness. It's about not wasting time wishing for what you don't have. You could try writing a list of things you want, and things you have. Consider the thought that many less fortunate people will want some of the basic things that you have.
Become a problem solver. Use your lemons to make lemonade. Get in the habit of asking yourself how you can turn the negative into a positive. The most successful people in life, and those who have the most to be grateful for, are also those who've endured tremendous trials and managed to persevere and turn it all around.
Learn to see hardship as a chance to develop character. Imagine yourself looking back ten years from now and recounting your difficult circumstances, and being proud of how you handled it and worked through it.
Develop a gratitude journal. It's pretty simple. At the end of every day, write down five things that have made you happy or appreciative that day; not necessarily big things, even small ones count.
For example: 1) nice weather, 2) being thanked by a customer at work, 3) children, 4) having people who love me, 5) or a funny joke to tell everyone.

20 Ways to Maintain a Healthy Level of Insanity
1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hairdryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.

LOL!!!! Love the 20 list. Too funny.
I also liked the suggestion above it to keep a gratitude journal. I did that one year. Faithfully every day. Wrote five things that I was grateful for that happened that day. Boy did it get me through hard times.
I should start one again. Thanks for the ideas!!!
Laughter is ALWAYS the best medicine! :) Hope you have a great weekend!
I dare you to actually do some of those top 20 things and then blog about them. If you do, I will ; )
Oprah, I think, inspired the thankful journal idea years ago but it is good to be reminded of good ideas. I keep a journal for Tanner (as well as for me) and it is a great reminder of all the things I am blessed with on days that I don't feel so blessed.
Well, you accomplished something not many people have - I actually LOL'ed for real.
The sunglasses/hairdryer one got me.
Also, the ATM "I won, I won!" got me going.
I'm totally going to do that.
Thanks for the laugh, and the reminder!
I forgot to put a comma once and got a mean nasty email!!!!!! Those are so funny!!!!! Good job
I have asked and been with people who ask for diet water. nerdy yes, fun yes, and we laughed so hard...yes
i am also thinking not using any punctuation when i speak in church tomorrow. do you think anyone will be annoyed with that. one LONG sentence.
good to see you today. had huge buyers remorse on the way home today about that dress. then i called rus to tell him about it and he made me feel good about buying it even after i told him how much it was (he was thinking in the hundreds so when it was lower he was probably relieved haha). oh how i love that man.
