Wow eh
2011
"standing tall like the ones"
"standing tall like the ones"
I heard that on sunday and really liked it. I think this is the year for standing tall because if we don't when will we?
Well new years was fun we had a lot of D's family over for a party i changed up my Christmas decor to New years decor....
..... it turned out really cute and it was a lot of fun lots of fun games and ringing in another new year was fun. Hard to believe so much time goes by remember y2k seems like so long ago now.
Next day we went to my moms to celebrate there and see my grandma who just moved in with my parents. She has always lived far away and we never saw much of her growing up, but every birthday and all the birthdays of our children we could always count on a card with money and wishes. We always appreciate her thoughtfulness and it created a tie with our kids to their great grandma too!
I also got to finally meet and hold my new little niece India! What a doll! She is such a sweet baby so content and a little miracle!
Then went to my least favorite thing to go to a baby shower but it was for my sil...... my new nephew Asher he is so dang cute look at him he is to die for perfect!! I could take him home in a minute too! Both of em!
so cute! and perfect in every way! Babies are such a miracle
wish they were a little easier to make around here ;)
wish they were a little easier to make around here ;)
------------------------------------------------
Then my sweet baby boy turned 18 months on Sunday! and went to Nursery {just fine he loved it!} seriously he's not supposed to grow up so fast! I had a way harder time with it..its hard to watch your babies grow up. Just love this kid! He makes my heart happy everyday:)
and I have to share this picture I just love it here is my picture loving K2 with his aunt alley on Christmas day...
---------------------------
ME THINKS
.....So life goes on people die, babies are born, people get married....... one big round {not in that order obviously ha ha!}
But its hard to believe that so much time goes by so fast.
I shake my head thinking in 3 years its my 20th school reunion
WHAT how did that happen...... those people are old lol!
Guess thats me now! But its kind of crazy to see that you don't really feel like you get older everything around just changes kids get older, people die, parents have 40th wedding anniversaries, your babies grow up...and starts their lives on their own and what you taught them has to last a lifetime.
Everything is so important and I realize that more and more each year!
Its all the little things that we do each day that turn into the big things that shape and mold not only us but those around us. Thats a big responsibility.
Its the way we live our lives that show who we really are and the choices we make that change a whole generation for better or worse.
Sometimes it takes guts to do something maybe not everyone will like but that needs to be done because we only have one chance here.
I look around and realize how very blessed I am to live where I do, to have the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to be a Mormon. To have the husband I do and the children I do.
So I hope this new year brings good changes to all of us and that is my
word for 2011
Change
meaning:
to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone:
.....because we could all us a little change in our lives and it is a constant in life but I hope that good changes are coming all year that my attitude my choices and life in general will change for the better because I DECIDE I want to CHANGE and CHANGE my reaction to things and HELP my children to see the positive things change can bring.
So here's to change in 2011.
So whats your word or what would you change??
-----------------------------------------------
love this quote: cause to change it all starts with this:

LOVE LOVE LOVE your new word and your thoughts with it.
And since you like quotes as much as I do...thought I'd share a couple with you from Neal A. Maxwell.
"Change and improvement are.....blocked by an inordinate fear of the unknown and the risks of change. This kind of fear can immobilize us; it can block us from accepting challenges that might permit us to grow." (Excellent, 48.)
"If our soul is to be stretched, how can that happen without growing pains?" (Prove, 14.)
So good for you Christal! Not only are you willing, but you embrace change. You go girl! Love that about you.
Here's to an awesome new year.
