in the meantime I'm venting....
1. Not going to lie most people I talk to lately or read in blogs are Tired, in a funk, worn out, I'm right there what about YOU?
Tired of winter coats, tired of boots... tired of bundling up four kids every time we step out of the house, tired of cold,
tired of comfort food soups and breads and desserts {because really theres nothing else to do}
tired of being tired as soon as I get up,
tired of warming up my burb,
tired of SNOW, frigid temps and
I stole this from my sil's blog thanks kate for sharing thought I'd pass it along...amen
------------------------------
ready for spring and summer.......
ready for flip flops, no coats, the sun to shine, green leaves, green grass, a sunburn, freckles, sun kissed kids, blondies, boat rides, water skiing, lake time & trips away,
juicy watermelon,
2.Tired of 178 months, 14 years and 7358400 minutes of wasted thinking wondering if this is the month only to face another monthly disappointment,
I HAVE FAITH but I've got plenty of frustration
to go with it.
3. To be honest I've had a hard month emotional wise /baby wise lots of babies born this past month and don't get me wrong for a second I AM so happy for each and every one! all so dang cute too!
Its just really hard to wonder if it will ever happen to you too when you've spend your whole married life wondering when or if and watching 28 babies be born within your own family in that time you'd think you'd get used to it by now eh! {yes it does get easier to accept but the pain or ache deep inside never goes away....it just feels different sometimes I feel like a broken, useless piece of the puzzle that I'm not the same or as good as everyone else in my families, that I'm not fulfilling what I came here to do..... but then I think I wouldn't have my sweet four children if things had been easy and simple and worked out the minute we got married. I think how in those first five years together D and I became a closer, tighter couple then I think we ever would have been, we are better parents because of it....its kind of a two edged sword if you know what I 'm trying to say.
I know many miracles do happen. I have four of them but the constant ache of actually making one never goes away and if we were done why would I want another baby so bad? because a} I'm still holding out for a miracle b} because we aren't done or c} its just something I'll carry with me forever that never will go away? if your done don't you feel done?
to deep sorry and to much time to think about :) but what else we got to do when its snowing and cold for 5 months ha ha!
4. I'm Frustrated with a concern for a child of mine and if and what I can do to help its hard to know if its a normal age thing or if its something genetic.? Say if it was a biological thing I would just say well I was like that when I was young I grew out of it or what if its something altogether different??
Know what I mean....
not knowing alot my children's genetic makeup is kind of frustrating {at times} in that sense. Its nothing major just something I wonder about because if we have a problem now we want to help fix it not have the problem with a 16 year we can't control.

5. A little tired of grouchy, whiny, bickering kids that feel just like I do {obviously} since thats kind of what I'm doing right now ha ha
venting..... actually is that different than whining??
we all need out {cabin fever} to many movies? we
need fresh clean air...... room to run, dirt to play in, a deck to get built, a sprinkler to run through, a good long walk and a park to play in
not air that freezes your nose hairs together and stops your lungs as soon as you take a breath!!!
All right I'm done..
here are the good things...

I know everyone is tired of the cold and snow... but I have to admit I'm not minding it right now. It's the perfect excuse to stay inside and hang out in my sweats and let the kids run wild while I cuddle Oscar. But give me a few week - hopefully I'll be feeling good again by then - and I'll vent along with you!
Love you. You know you are welcome to my baby anytime you need him. But that probably doesn't help the ache any does it. And don't you dare apologize on your own blog for venting about it! You are a much stronger woman and mom than me. I'm praying for a miracle right along with you.
i love your blog! and i'm sorry about how you've been feeling...i know with my mom when she had my 3 older sibling she always knew there was 1 more out there (me) and once they did get me she knew her family was complete...so maybe one day you'll know.
karson is so adorable..like really, soo soo cute!!!
Boy, do I know how you feel. I hate to see someone else going through it, but it sure is nice to know you are not alone.
I agree with Whitney, dont apologize for needing to get it out.
Thinking of ya!
Vent away girl! It's your space to do so. Feel free.
"not air that freezes your nose hairs together" --- that one totally cracked me up. lol.
Moving on.... I totally know what you mean about wondering if it's the last one or not. I always asked every woman I knew that was done "How do you know you are ??? How do you REALLY know??"
They always said to me "Oh, you'll know."
And they were right. I just knew. So like Karlene said, one day you will know.
I am sorry that you still have those baby aches. I tell ya though.....your baby right now sure is the cutest ever! Love his spikey hair.
Thanks for the great links! One of my good friends Bobbi Jo is a team member of HowDoesShe. Awesome site for sure!
Last year I was so sick of the cold by Dec and had the worst cabin fever, this year I haven't got cabin fever but after reading your post I think I have it now hahaha! Yeah, wouldn't it be great to have green grass and kids playing outside and going for walks! (and no runny noses).
Thanks for sharing the subway art, I am going to print it!
And I'm so sorry about your frustrations! I don't know why we have the trials we do, we just have to have faith. Your kids are lucky to have such a great mom!
Is there such a thing as a virtual hug?? Well if so your getting one now! I hear you about the cabin fever, or winter blues...I was about to duck tape all my kids hands together and tie them to chairs last week. maybe that would have stopped the fighting. Whoever thought a week off school in the middle of winter was a good idea anyway! But I am trying to be positive and I hear April will be sunny! only 1 month to wait!
This makes me super excited for summer! I totally have cabin fever too...and so does Spencer. Karsen's hair is so stinkin' cute. It makes me so sad that Spencer just got a haircut that turned out way too short. He is basically bald again! So sad...I was in the other room with Rylan when this all happened.
I'm still praying for your miracle as well. It is refreshing to hear how you feel about it all. I am amazed at how sincerely you are able to be happy for me and others. Thank you. You are such a great example of one who is Christlike. Love you.
You read my mind! I have the same exact feelings about infertility! It's rough sometimes. You are too cute, so glad you posted all your fun links, because I didn't see any of the new ones you put up! :) Darling!
Have a great week Christal!
Christal I love reading your blog - I remember the first time my freshman roommates really noticed that I was 'different' as a Canadian - I talked about the cold freezing your boogers haha they thought that was so weird but the nose hair thing - that's what I was talking about. I agree with everyone else - you're totally allowed to vent on your blog. We all love you and hope for your miracle too!
It was fun to read this. I am right there with you...just worn out and trying to not figure everything out right now. i can't relate to not being able to have children, but I know how it feels to not have life go how you planned on it going. Carly was down here with Ryan last week and she pointed out that I am the only girl in the whole family that works. And do you know what, as much as I love my job that really kind of sucks. I always dreamed of getting married young and having 3 kids by now. Instead my husband is in school and we have no idea how things in the future will work out. Every day I just want to quit and be at home with my own kids. Life is just hard sometimes. But you are amazing and a great example of faith and accepting God's plan. I just love you to death and can't wait to spend time with you this summer. I still have faith that one day you will realize your greatest desire. Love you!
if you cant vent on your own blog then where can you?! i seriously am getting sick of talking about it but really this winter is just out of control. it is all i think about. i'm so upset. i have been cold for months and months, i just can't get warm ever!
Love your Vent, Christal! I think we all have "stuff" in our lives that hurts no matter what else we have achieved or done or have. I know how you feel. I feel like that every time I go to a mission farewell or homecoming. It just hurts like a wound that never heals. When things just don't work the way I want them to, and my brain is telling me this just can NOT be Gods plan for me or my kids, I repeat this in my head. "This may not be Gods plan, but he has planned FOR it!"
So sorry for your aching heart. Summer is coming, I promise!!!
