I CAN not believe its march already wasn't it just Christmas
time is flying by...
Today the snow is melting and it feels like spring
I got my kids in the stroller and stuck in my ipod and went for a walk/ ran
it felt so so good to get out to think only a few days ago it was below zero way below zero so so cold!
Hopefully it stays around.
So this weekend was not too bad or busy we got some of the drywall dust cleaned up, floors mopped to get the mudding off the cement.
we went and got the paint picked up the sprayer so we are ready to get to work!
Lauren had a birthday party to go to to one of her little friends she was so so excited and keep asking from the time she woke up if it was time to go to the party yet she was so cute!!
Tell me this face does not look so excited to go!

For ME THINKS this week
I've been thinking about our roles as women, married, single, or as mothers. The visiting message this past month made me think about how we treat each other, how we are as women and how important we are to each other in helping to uplift one another and be there when we are needed. In our homes and out of them. As mothers. As women.
{This is from here check it out}
Its hard as women to feel like we matter in a sea of so many distractions and so many things out there that try to make us feel bad about ourselves, about how we look, or how we see things, or in comparing to this and that and we all have our individual trials to deal with. Sometimes the things like these get in the way of who we are and want we want to be we let the things that don't matter get in the way and cloud our judgement and our actions {sometimes.} Sometimes we let them get in the way of our full potentional to reach out. To give a smile. To give a hug. To really stretch and get to know someone.
Sometimes just being good moms and feeling like good moms is a struggle some days. I go to bed at night and think did I do ANY good today?? Did I make my children feel important? did I make a difference in there lives today for the good? did I nag too much?? lose my patience to many times?? Did I make them feel loved and know that they are loved?? did I take time with each one of them.
Its hard, sometimes when I kneel to pray at night I think tomorrows a new day I'll do this and this different then I pray for help I pray for peace and I pray that my children will grow up strong healthy and know how much they are so so loved.
That they will KNOW and live the gospel and make right choices. I find that I'm hard on myself and that I need to be doing this and should do that. I think as women and mothers we are too hard on ourselves we all need some me time, we all need a friendly smile or someone to sit by, or a friend who understands we all NEED that.
As women we tend to be hard on ourselves we lessen what we do and think its not important what we do sometimes. I love this next quote cause how often are our prayers for the tasks instead of using our abilities to fully accomplish our tasks no matter what they are.
President Thomas S. Monson says -
" My dear sisters, do not pray for tasks equal to your abilities, but pray for abilities equal to your tasks. Then the performance of your tasks will be no miracle, but you will be the miracle."

You never know what a girl is worth,
You’ll have to wait and see;
But every woman in a noble place,
A girl once used to be.
-----------------------
{I just love this little quote cause it reminds me that my little girl will one day be a women and I hope I can teach the things she needs to know now so she will be someday be in a noble place}
WE HAVE A NOBLE CALLING as women, as mothers, as people to be kind, compassionate, loving. To spread it to make others feel important, TO REACH OUT to feel needed, loved, and cared about in and out of our homes cause we are so important each one of us...
You are the real builders of the nation wherever you live, for you have created homes of strength and peace and security. These become the very sinew of any nation.” -Gordon B. Hinckley,
-------------------
So I guess I've just been thinking a lot about making sisters, friends, daughters, mothers, me, that they and we all feel important, loved and thought about. I want to make more of an effort to be the kind of mother and women I really want to be. I hope all my rambled thoughts made sense.

Have a great week!!

Thanks Christal!!! I love it when you "ramble". : D You make TOTAL sense. I love the way you think.
VERY cute pic of Lauren! I miss those days of kids birthday parties.....well.....the excitement anyway....not the work involved. LOL!
Lauren is adorable! I remember how exciting it was to go to a friends birthday party when I was little.
Thanks for the thoughts on being a woman...I loved last month's VT message and I'm glad you talked about it.
What you said about women is so true. And the best thing about you is that you are always trying and striving to be the best mom/wife/woman you can be. I know God blesses that! :)
Isn't it great to have spring so close?? I can't wait, either!
Thanks for this today, Christal... I needed it big time. I'm finding ways to be totally down on myself today (Actually, it's for taking that me-time today, and now I'm feeling guilty for it...) and I needed a reminder that tomorrow is another day and that I can do better. Love your posts! Thanks!
I love your me thinks!!! I really do look forward to it. It is so true about womenhood. I have struggled over the years, and it IT awesome to have our girls grow into womenhood. I have to try to look at the good, and not dwell on what satan wants us to think. You are awesome
Love your posts! You always inspire me to want to be better. Being a Mom is so hard, and we can be especially hard on ourselves! You're right! It's nice to know that other Mom's out there go through the same things, we just need to help one another out!
