{ Me thinks..}

So thankfully the weekend is over the tired grouchy kids are sleeping soundly and conference is over can't say this time I got to much out of it our computer was blipping {is that even a word?} every other word practically not sure why?So I'm looking forward to reading it. Anyway went and visited the in laws last night it was nice to relax and the kids played so nice with their cute cousins and we made yet more plans for the next wedding... Also got in a dinner with the a couple of my siblings and their husbands so that was fun to just relax and enjoy each others company after the busy wedding day..
Thursday night my sisters and I took the stressed bride to be out and for the most part had a fun time..sisters are the best

its crazy that we are all married now except for my little brother who just jetted off to china for awhile he is so random sometimes at least he's seeing a lot of the world how fun??
which brings me to this ...

I'm collecting donations to take myself and my husband far away on a trip so we can relax and have some fun any takers? I'm totally kidding but
I told D I was going to have a fund riser for myself maybe I will since he doesn't think "now is the right time" but my question is when is?? when we're to old to move??? or dead?? sensing a little bitterness yet -- what good is money in the bank if you don't spend it once in awhile on fun things too right memories or ___??
....no I'm not bitter just a tiny bit jealous of all the people that have gone away on vacation this winter and are going away over spring break sigh..... Happy for you though ha ha.....
I will probably be stopping fights
playing in the mud oh I mean cleaning up the mud from the kids..
typing up soccer teams...
taking walks... painting... installing doors casings baseboards....at least helping with it...taking the kids to the park.....

running {away by myself} lol.....

Oh well can't complain at least it is warm today that is something to be thankful for after all these cold days we've had!

JOYS.....

ME Thinks

After watching slumdog millionaire {the edited version} which I Loved

{I know if you read the book you won't think so I've heard.... }
I couldn't stop thinking how about how lucky and blessed I am to have been born where I was and am now. we are more lucky and blessed then we know.
I often wonder What made the decision before we came to this earth to be placed where we were? India or Canada or USA etc....
We don't have to worry about somebody shooting at us when we go out
or most of us don't have to wear head coverings....or worry about having a roof over our heads ...
we don't have to run for our lives or be shunned because of what part of the city we live in...

There are just so many things we overlook and take for granted.
I figure I was probably born where I needed to be to have a long life.... I'm to feisty to probably survive living in another time period or place.

It breaks my heart what some have gone through in WW1, WW2 and Vietnam, holocaust, genocide in Sudan and Ghana the wars taking place now and
the general intolerance of life and people thinking they are better then others.
No matter where we are. It happens all the time.
What makes you think you are more important then me?
{that's a rhetorical question just so you don't think I'm talking about any of you lol}
We are all children of God we are all placed here to learn, love and be tested. No matter who we are, where we live or what we look like.
We are all important. We are all equal.
It just makes me so sad seeing the horrible things that happen in this life and the horrible things that people do to each other.
We are blessed.
Just some random thoughts this weekend that I had. I know I'm so so random...

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

"How is one to live a moral and compassionate existence when one is fully aware of the blood, the horror inherent in life, when one finds darkness not only in one's culture but within oneself? If there is a stage at which an individual life becomes truly adult, it must be when one grasps the irony in its unfolding and accepts responsibility for a life lived in the midst of such paradox. One must live in the middle of contradiction, because if all contradiction were eliminated at once life would collapse. There are simply no answers to some of the great pressing questions. You continue to live them out, making your life a worthy expression of leaning into the light."

"money in the bank"...what's that?? LOL! jks.

I totally know what you mean Christal about wishing and wanting to go off somewhere. Maybe someday.

I have yet to see Slumdog. I totally want to see it. Where did you get an edited version of it??

My hair dresser and I were just discussing this movie on Thursday. She was telling me a bit about the book. I felt the same thoughts you wrote on this post. Why me? How did I end up living where I am? With the family that I have? With the education I got? With the freedom I enjoy? It baffles my mind when I think about it. We are ALL God's children. He loves us equally. I can't imagine looking at my kids and having to choose who gets what trial. "Curtis you will get to have this and Colby you will have the worst of that" just saying......I shake my head.....I just can't imagine at it at all.

Hope you have a great relaxing week.
Does your brother know Blaine Grunewald? He just went back to live and work in China for awhile too.

I've been fighting a pity party, and then I have to stop and think about all the blessing I have. We live in peace. And we do take it for granted. Thanks for the thought that I can let swim around in my head.

sensing no bitterness at all about a holiday. haha!
I'm surprised you haven't convinced D. I could have convinced R pretty easy this past winter, except we have a baby that kind of needs me around to survive. A trip of warmth and beaches, no children will be invited so it may be a few years for us.
Oh well, we are headed to Meadow Lake this Thursday for a few days. I'm excited. I love trips like that. I'm learning sometimes you can't give them an option on some holidays. I may have just told Rus we were headed to Meadow Lake. hehe!!! (in a nice way).
Have a good week. I felt the exact same on that movie. We also got the edited. So nice to watch movies that way.

I'm here for spring break. And for the next 20 years of spring breaks I am sure. We never go on vacation. To Montana in the summer, that's it.
You can come vacation at my house for spring break if you like. It's a very exciting place. Get your picture taken with the dust bunnies, enjoy a gourmet meal of mac and cheese, hike around the toy covered floor, and enjoy the quaintness that only a too small family room can bring. Tempting isn't it!
