My sister in law had this on her blog thought I'd pass it along since I haven't done any of these for along time....
Questions...
1. What's your favourite day of the week and why?
My favorite day of the week is probably Sunday. The only day we get D usually all to ourselves its fun to just do things together as a family. We go to church, make a meal together. A nap for everyone, Sundays at grandmas sometimes or a walk together. I just love the reverence and difference to recharge and not have so many places to go! A regroup day...Spiritually, physically and mentally!
2. Recount an embarrassing moment.
My all time embarrassing moment is by far when Lauren wasn't even a year and half she pulled the fire alarm during stake conference and fireman came running..... my face was the only thing blazing so embarrassing!!! One of my friends mom was speaking and wasn't sure what to do run or pause!
3. What was your favourite toy or game as a child?
My favorite childhood toy was a little black girl doll I had I loved her I still remember her new smell coming out of the box her orange skirt etc.... So I'd say a couple dolls when I was a child. Or strawberry shortcake and the new yummy smell she had seriously nothing better!
4. What does your name mean?
Christal..... means a jewel
when I looked it up that was the most exciting of all the meanings
as in a form of christopher nothing really then so I'll take a jewel I do like the way my name is spelt though {thanks mom and dad} if my name has to be christal I'm glad its like that.
5. If you could have any occupation (and you had no limitations of obtaining that occupation), what would it be?
I love being a stay at home mom and giving my every waking moment to my children I prayed so hard for ....don't get me wrong but if I were to have an occupation that had no limits it would be something that would be fun and require travel all over the world....maybe a flight attendant I had always wanted to do that...but no something more exciting where I could experience another country...so really I have no idea so its probably best I'm a stay at home mother!! Lucky kids! ;)
6. What is your guilty pleasure?
Would probably be a little online shopping now and then. Or if we are talking just indulging a nice hot bath and a book and some music to shut every thing out would be a nice one too. Since it happens all the time {yeah right} its a rare treat! other than that I really don't have one.
7. If you could change anything about your appearance what would it be?
If I could change anything about my appearance it would be a whole new body ha ha! j/k probably the way my body reacts to allergies on my face not fun its hard and annoying doesn't happen all the time anymore so I am more than thankful for that! But I would change that and a few other little things lol;)
8. If you could raise awareness about one topic (education, poverty, AIDS, etc.) what would it be?
(I'm going to stick with my sister in laws answer because its exactly what I would have said.}Thanks kate!
The Family. Everything I feel most strongly about the family is summed up HERE. Strong families are so important for our community, nation, and world. Without stable families who prepare children to be responsible citizens we have no future. So much could be improved in the world by just strengthening the home.

....as disfunctional as they come sometimes lol check this great shot out....love randomness good thing everybody who is watching D is laughing and knows he is joking! lol!

MY TWO BITS...
on our changing world from ownership to blamership {if thats even a word} what happened to our society??? Love this ...
--------------------------------------------
Our families are the single most important part of this life especially in these days because if we can't save these children
we are looking at a generation far worse then any we have seen so far. and that is a scary scary thought.
There is right and wrong.
There are consequences.
WICKED.... WICKED
Not in the 80's sense either. The world we live in. I've tried for days to let it pass but it keeps stewing inside me and..I don't feel like I can idly sit by and not voice my opinion. I realize there are many differing opinions out there but these are mine this is my blog and these are MY thoughts......

Society is becoming so accepting of things once unheard of there was a time when a whole city burned why? because of the wickedness and why we are still here is beyond me we have far surpassed the wickedness of that forgotten city.....
we have become a lax and desensitised society, a blaming godless society its everybody else's fault mentality... to
The shows we watch, the literature we look at, the language we use, the movies we attend, and the slow passing of laws of things once considered taboo....or weren't talked about now.... we soak our society with every vile unthinkable act, we then become desensitised to all the things that used to be considered wrong to a free do whatever you want thinking the have no soul, no voice and no consequences for our actions
a complete eat drink and be merry...society
because..

People do not believe anymore and are looking for any excuse to lash out at everyone because they aren't the ones at fault it is everyone else no matter what it is. people are so lost.
All I know for sure in this life is that everything I am is because I am Member of
The CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS.
The doctrine is the same today as it has always been.
IT DOES NOT CHANGE with the times.
The disgusting, slandering feedback all over facebook and the internet regarding this talk found here
{which I fully agree with and support because its what we've always been taught for years...and now apparently in this day and age is a supposed direct attack well.......}
and all I can say is found right here in 1 nephi 16:2 in the Book of Mormon and goes for whatever you want to put it towards...
2....I knew that I had spoken hard things against the wicked, according to the truth; and the righteous have I justified, and testified that they should be lifted up at the last day; wherefore, the guilty taketh the truth to be hard, for it cutteth them to the very center.
------------------------------------
Simple as that. No need for bigotry. bullying. fighting. blaming. protesting. it all comes down to obeying the commandments, strengthening our homes and families and living a life worthy to met our maker when that time comes.
----------------------------------
How did it all get out of hand...... by complacency, by accepting by giving in, by satans plan to destroy the family.
it is sickening the way our youth and adults alike speak of things that once were sacred topics kept to oneself
have exploded everywhere we turn. everywhere we turn in our schools, media, EVERYWHERE.
has to do with sex. it is degrading.
just the way satan likes it.
it is ruining our societies. our youth. destroying families...
the very definition of family and community.
God does not make mistakes
But we on this earth are making far more than our share no matter what they are.
We need to be stronger, stand up for what we believe in, no matter what. and do what is right no matter what.
we don't have time to fight, judge, sin
We are all children of God we just need to act like it now.
okay I'm done....
enjoy the journey
find the good and have faith.
We become what we want to be by consistently being what we want to become each day.

3 ..........." if ye were righteous and were willing to hearken to the truth, and give heed unto it, that ye might walk uprightly before God, then ye would not murmur because of the truth, and say: Thou speakest hard things against us.
4.................and I, nephi did exhort my brethren, with all diligence, to keep the commandments of the Lord.

Love.This.Post.
AMEN!!
Okay, you just took the words right out of my mouth. Literally! You said everything I have been thinking and wanting to say too! Thank you!! It's so sad to watch people fall away from the truth. I can hardly stand it. Satan is doing a dang good job...I bet he is just laughing at the foolishness of all the people and how bad he has tricked the world. Ahhhhhhhh.
I loved your questions and answers too!!
I definitely approve Chris!! You feel better now don't you? I know I did! Very well said...perfect, and way to stand up for what is RIGHT!!! There are SO MANY more quotes from the Book of Mormon --- it is so definitely a type for our day right down to the corrupt individuals who proclaimed that there is NO Christ. Even lies like that are all over the Internet right now from angry, evil followers of Satan!!
Anyway, Great Post!
Amen Christal! Amen. You are one of those beacons.....a light if you will.....that does NOT hide under a bush.
Thank you.
Loved your question and answers too.
Kevin and I have been discussing this exact topic all week. What a time we live in, and it is a real worry regarding our children. Thank you for all your thoughts, at least I know there is something uplifting I can read on a weekly basis. Your blog is beautiful !
AMEN!
Such good thoughts! I know that it is easy to see how the world is getting way too relaxed about things. The worst is the moments when I realize I'm getting a little too lax myself. I think we all need the wake up call that this life really is a test, and we will meet our maker one day and have to account for what we have done. I love you and wish that we lived closer to each other. I wanted to be home so bad on Thanksgiving. Family is the best! And I loved the story about lauren pulling the fire alarm. i forgot about that. I love her! Love you too!
Loved this Christal. thanks for sharing. We really cannot sit back anymore.
(I don't know if I knew that story about L, so funny. laughed at, "my face was the only thing blazing" so funny.) love ya!
You go girl, loved this!
So true! And your embarrassing moment made me laugh, cute little Miss L!
