{ Canada Day,pink eye, parades, and floods. }

Wow now thats a title eh! But it was a crazy day. We went to a parade had some whacky weather that flooded the streets about 20 minutes away from us the thunder and lightening was amazing and the rains torrential. So there went the bbq {thankfully we cancelled ours cause not to many could come so we didn't do it!} But the rain waited until after the parade so that was good. Except my poor brother in law who's bday is the same day wanted to go water skiing but nothing worked out! So I felt bad for him he turned 19 and leaves for his mission next week!and pretty much all we did was sit around and go what should we do! Oh well what do you do eh! So here are some pics of the funner part of the day hopefully everybody else had a great Canada day!! Ours was kind of quiet and Kolten got the dreaded pink eye and couldn't stop scratching and rubbing his eyes I felt so bad for him!! But we ended the day with some great fireworks then put the tired kids to bed!! Long day!

Love this one of the boys chatting waiting for the parade to come!!

Impossible to get a good picture of all three kolten rubbing his eye lauren eating candy and masen doing who knows what so yeah pretty typical!! What do ya do!

{So I ordered the kids shirts from old navy thinking oh the July fourth old navy shirts are always so cute!! But these were so NOT cute but oh well still used them whatever eh they worked then I had ordered these cute curly bows for Lauren but was to late getting them and they didn't have any more so not meant to be oh well!}

Summer Recipe

Put some grapes on a skewer, put all grape skewers in a big zip lock, put in freezer and enjoy hours later.

THE KIDS loved them they really are so good!! I always wondered what frozen grapes tasted like and they are so good. Look at all the ways to eat them!!

Check out that drool from the chin --- yummy!!

And last of all my poor sick boy enjoying his!! Give it a try simple easy and so good!!

Anyway have a great day! Make it a great one!

Yum! Thanks for the frozen grape idea. I think the Canada shirts are really cute. Hope the pink eye in your house goes away soon. YIKES! IT sure has been passed around and around forever, eh??

We were at my parents when we heard on the news about your area being a state of emergency with flooding. Glad it didn't come your way.

Holy cow....I can't believe you guys still have pink eye around your house. Hopefully this is the last of it. Too bad your weather wasn't so great. It is supposed to be 100 here on the 4th...that's going to be so stinking hot sitting watching the parade but what do you do? I guess it's better than pooring rain huh? I'm going to have to freeze me some grapes...sounds good!

I am so glad that it didn't rain through the parade. Although Austin fell asleep about 5 mintues into it and woke up at the end. And Brighton fell asleep half way through and didn't wake up till 3pm. Everyone got sick here, so our bbq got cancelled due to sickness and then rain. We thought the fire works would be cancelled so we went to bed, and at 11pm, I woke up thinking we were having a terrible thunderstorm, and then Brighton ran into the room all excited about the fire works. I totally didn't realize you could see them perfect from his bedroom window! We freeze grapes all the time, but I have never put them on skewers. I will have to try that, it is a fun twist on popsicles and way healthier too! Hopefully the pink eye clears out of your house soon!
