Sometimes the days we feel we have nothing to be thankful for are the days we need to begin the long list of the many blessings we do have. Despite the sad, frustrating, useless and fruitless days that's sometimes follow us.
The days you feel like you aren't getting anywhere with children, when you feel alone, frustrated at the situations life throws at you. When you feel like a trial will never end. When you feel sorry for yourself and when you feel like you can't feel one more thing or find the energy to go any farther {for the day}.
"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful."
{so how's that for a quote there is always something to be thankful for. }
I am so thankful for this place for the peace it brings in my life, for the blessings it brings to my life and for the most beautiful moments in my life that have happened in this PLACE:

I'm so thankful for D. I miss him a lot lately.
I'm thankful for time. Time to work on the things I need to, time to make my home a better place to be, time to be nicer, time outs, and just time to get things done. Sometimes I never have enough time but I'm thankful for the time I do have for the very most important things.
So thankful for Music. Good music. fast music. slow music. inspirational music. country music. a little of everything music as you can tell by my play list. Sometimes we all dance together in our living room, sometimes we all get silly together, we rock out, we excersise to it we love it. We do our work to music, play with music, sleep to music. We love music. So thankful for music.
I'm so
thankful for the i love you's from my kids, the little notes that make my day, the smiles when they know how proud I am of them, the laughter when we all find something funny, the hugs, the hours of reading together, the cute things and saying they come up with. The love they have for family. I love being a mom and can't image my life without these three munchkins!

Okay, so do you live in Canada? I didn't even get that when I saw your Canada Day post below. I thought, "Hmmm, wonder where there is a Canada Day parade so close to the 4th of July?" Um, duh! (hehe)
I love Canada. I've been there a couple times and love the Cardston Temple. I love your thankful quote. So glad we're not sick or dead! :)
Happy 4th!
Christal,

i read this after madi screamed going to bed and it took a while, she had been up since 6:30am and it was now 11pm. She hardly had a nap, we were everywhere yesterday. let's say I was not feeling very thankful. the hardest is i can't even talk to rus while he is away, cell phones don't work up there. I'm so missing him like crazy.soon. he will be home soon. thanks for making me think of things to be thankful for.i'm thankful for all the same things, even D because I know rus thinks the world of him. also you put my favorite song on your playlist. "bleeding love", i may be returning a few times today to listen to it!!! thanks for your comment on my blog. i know i should be thankful to be getting chubby (don't tell rus i said that chubby word he hates it when i do). i am thankful. i just feel blah, nothing fits. i'm vain i guess =). have a great day. do you know what we are doing tomorrow night?
kristyn
