{{{First I can't not post this touching, sad blog that will bring tears to your eyes and make you feel something, something deep for this family for their pain and for the more spiritual things in life and for the knowledge the Gospel brings in that we will see our loved ones again, and the peace it brings in this life in those moments of despair. Scroll down to the third slide show the funeral and don't forget to pause the music at the bottom.} http://www.babymckallister.blogspot.com/

Guess what D and I went on a date last night it was so fun and so nice to get out just the two of us - to hold hands, to remember that there are two of us, to just talk, laugh and spend time together!
Everybody needs time alone together as a couple, to remember who you were, what you have and what you want to be.
TOGETHER

OKAY For flashback Friday
I'm going to do a memory post so here it is:
So whether you know me in real life or not
The Memory Post
1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If were only blogging friends write about a post that was the most memorable for you. (and if you usually don't comment leave a comment would love to hear from you too)
2. Next, if you feel so inclined, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you...!
Have a great weekend make it an memorable one!!

Oh wow! Let me be the first to say, I am really having a hard time with words after viewing that blog. What a dear sweet family for sharing with the world, their grief and pain and to show us by example how to look to HIM for comfort and hope and JOY. Thanks for sharing that.
About your Memory post. What a cool idea. I for one remember the date exactly when I "met" you. November 22, 2007. I read this at the end of your awesome Thankful Thursday: "I hope everybody has a great day today, to many of us feel sorry for ourselves or compare ourselves to what everybody else can do or looks like. We just need to be a happier people and start serving others and then we will see how very blessed we each are cause there are so many people far worse off then we are right. --How's that for some christal wisdom or thought for the day ha ha! MAKE IT A GOOD ONE!!"
From that moment on I was hooked. I was SO grateful to stumble onto a friend like you. You continue to inspire me. THanks my friend! I am so grateful that we met.
Oh my... after watching that funeral slide show I am having a hard time putting my words together. Brighton woke up from a nap and looked at me with tears streaming down my cheeks and hugged me. My heart goes out to that precious couple who will never feel their three year old give them the most tender hug when they cry. I have never been so greatful for my little boys.
As for a memory of you... hmmm... probably when we did the adoption presentation at RPP! It was great to get to know your story a bit better. I always find it so interesting seeing things from "the other side of the fence". It truely helps me understand Bethany's parents better. I am so greatful to you for allowing me to do that with you. You are such a brave, confident, amazing woman! I know the Lord will bless you for the amazing home your have provided for your children. Any birth mother would be lucky to have you be a Mommy to their baby! You are amazing... I love you!
I can't stop crying after viewing the videos on that blog. I have a friend who delivered a still born baby a couple of years ago. My heart aches for those who have to go through that.
What a touching story. I too couldn't stop from bawling the whole time I watched the video of baby Mac. I couldn't imagine, but it's always comforting to know that Heavenly Father doesn't give us challenges we can't handle it, even if it seems impossible.
Anyways, I was thinking of a memory. And it was years ago after I returned home from my mission so around Sept 2000 and we were made V.T. partners. Don't know if you remember. But I always enjoyed going with you and chatting and getting to know you better. My heart went out to you when you told me you hadn't been able to have kids yet. So, later when I found out you adopted I was so excited for you. Well that's my memory!!
To answer your question about the cans we made for girls camp....they are the #10 cans from the cannery.
WOW I haven't cried like that in a LONG time. Thanks for leading me to that touching story. How sad and heartbreaking. This situation was close to my heart as I just deliverd baby Grace and I think about what I would be going through if this same situation happened to us. I would be devestated and I don't know if I could be strong in this situation. My heart aches for this family and I will keep them in my thought and prayers.
As for a memory of you...I can't think of anything specific, but I just remember you from High School and how you were SO nice to everyone, you still are. And the fact that you had a crazy brother, whom I had a crush on. LOL! I also remember when you "liked" Darren and how confussed you were when he went to Ricks. Funny how things turn out... and for the better. Here the 2 of you are, 11 happy married years later with 3 beautiful children.
Thanks for sharing that touching and beautiful story about baby "Mac." I felt the spirit so strong. Thus I too bawled. My heart goes out to his parents, and to his other family members and friends. I am so grateful for the Temple and for testimony of Eternal Families :')
And as for my memory of "us" other than Blog Land... I would have to say, that night when I rang your doorbell, and we ended up sitting and *chatting heart-to-heart on your doorstep. *Poor D & the Kidlets-LOL
I think of it often. You have been an amazing example to me, and your powerful words and love are something that I STILL think about, and find strength from! Love ya!!!
OK so I haven't watched the other blog yet but I will from the comments I'm sure it will be a good one. As to a memory, i'm sure you will not remember. I was hanging out with Leaf one day in Cardston and we all stopped by your guys house and he introduced us. So long ago. Anyways off to watch the vid.
I didn't even get to the Memory thing because I was so moved by the baby Mac story that I forgot to come back and read the rest of your post...silly me...lol.
I think the first memory I had of you was actually coming to visit teach you and I was so intimidated because I thought "she's so pretty and I bet she is super smart. She'll probably think I'm so immature when she meets me". But you were not like that at all. I mean you're beautiful, but I never felt like you thought I was immature. And I do think you're very smart. You have so much to offer the world and the people around you. You are such an inspiration to a lot of people. You are a great example of patience and forgiving others. I really Really REALLY miss visit teaching you. We could always count on good, flowing conversation at your house. Also, I think you have an amazing amount of endurance. You just never give up, ever.
So silly me, I clicked on that other blog when I only had 3 minutes to read yours, and ended up spending more than my allotted computer time crying my eyes out! What an amazing amount of faith, to be able to stay strong for all of that... heart breaking but so inspiring! Do you know them? wow.
As far as memories?!? Where to even start... writing messages out of pebbles for various people, playng tennis, walking around the temple is one of my fav memories, walking to Redi Mart to check for mail, EVERYthing DQ, oh man I could go on & on... You've always been such a great friend, even when it would take me weeks to write back to you, you always wrote to me. I loved it, you made me feel so special=)
I think one of my most treasured memories of you, is talking to you on your b-day, when Kolt was just weeks old. You being a mom made perfect sense to me, I knew you were meant to be his mommy, and that you loved him so much! I think all of your kids are soooo lucky to have you to love them, you're a great mom Christal! I love ya tons!!!!
