{ Hope you all had a great Christmas...}

I LOVE the Christmas season
so a Christmas update from our house..
{ps for a little Edward to Bella lullaby turn up your volume so pretty}
SO
Too Much Food {I'm pretty sure I gained the winter five all within the last week! Me and my treadmill need some serious time together ha ha! for real though}
a few fun parties
lots of snow and sledding
cute kids doing the nativity and
family stories, memories and heartfelt thoughts
lots of family get togethers
a lot of tired kids
and wired kids....but
lots of love
a few tears
carol singing
prayers
anticipation
Christmas concerts and programs
games
gift giving
service
time off school and work
fun neighbour and friend surprises
thanks all {thanks so much Cassie what a sweetheart you are! we all pretty much devoured it}
happy delighted Christmas morning faces.
----------------
Above all I love the general MAGIC feeling of being all together
a simpler feeling
where the things that don't matter so much are put away for a bit,
there's always a few bumps along the way but generally
a overwhelming feeling of love and appreciation for family, for Christmas - for our Saviour
for his birth
for his life.

A few pics of all the magic at our house

A little Mary and Joseph

I love this one cause they were so into it was so cute

Some Christmas Morning fun!

Hot wheels tracks for the boys and doll house for the girl {although I did see a couple of boys having fun with it too ha ha! }

and at Grandmas a big smile and a big bit of Polly pocket action from uncle soren AND then the reason why I don't have many pictures Christmas day is because D surprised me {or should I say Santa - dang guy} with one of these little guys! SO much fun! We had one about 4 years ago just a few days before Christmas around kolt's birthday and a few weeks later it got stolen out of D's truck

So we had alot of fun playing around with it.

I just have to share some of my favorites that we got for Christmas

really though my favorite things were watching my kids be so excited opening their gifts and saying its just what I wanted or hearing kolt tell his grandma that his favorite Christmas present was a picture of the temple she gave him.

Or actually surprising D { to actually get a reaction for a gift is a big deal } With one of theseThose were my favorite moments.

But he did really spoil me this year with one of these an ipod nano

and with this

Loving them. I love music and this thing has awesome sound and can do so much and now we have all our favorite songs playing all the time, or quiet music seriously I can already tell a difference in the kids when calmer music is playing. we've been having fun getting songs on it and playing around with it!

another favorite most people wouldn't be that excited for this

{insinkerator garbage disposal} but me YES!!!! the last few months since we moved here have been so annoying with our kitchen sink constantly being plugged, they had it all wired and set up for one but there wasn't one now it is like Heaven -- love it!!!!

---------------

Other then that we spent some time with D's family playing this

{thanks Matt and Jan}

Watching a few movies

laughing

talking

and spending a lot of time just as a family.

The Magic of Christmas

Is not in the presents

but in His presence

Hope everybody had a great Christmas.

Cute pictures of the kids. It was fun to be able to spend so much time with family especially when it seems to not happen not near as often as it should....hope you're all doing good over there and that you are feeling a little better and rested.

Welcome ;) {My attempt at home made chocolates, didn't look so hot... but sure tasted good... So the "joke" in Jon's family was that they were called 'Reindeer Surprise!' LOL. Anyways, glad to hear and see about your fun happenin' and lovin' Christmas!!}

P.S. But I am probably going to show my age here.....may I ask....What the heck is that item you gave D?? I can't understand what it is exactly. Is it something you take on Scout camps???

Anyway....REALLY cute nativity pics of the kids.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
