SO I've been trying to figure out how to recap the year and found the perfect questionnaire thanks to Betsy so here goes our year in review...
LOOKING BACK 2008
LOOKING BACK 2008
1. What did you do in 2008 that you've never done before?
I had a mammogram/ and a colon oscopy thankfully both problems turned out fine but scary stuff and not fun at all ! I had never flown by myself anywhere and I did just fine to SLC this summer, I also met a fellow blogger for breakfast Heather so fun to meet new people had never done that before!
Also survived so many accidents of my kids where I thought my heart would break!
Also survived so many accidents of my kids where I thought my heart would break! Never been on PTA or had a kid in grade one before either!!
2. Did you keep your New Year's Resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I did pretty good but like every year I can do better! But I read {listened on cd} to the book of Mormon twice and the Doctrine and Covenants 3 times seriously the way to go for me I listened to it early when I’m getting ready in the morning so I get in a good 15 minutes before the kids wake up {multi tasker eh!} , I also kept up good with working out and eating right{except the last couple of weeks ha ha.} So same goes for this year plus some!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Lots of friends and my sil Kristyn to beautiful Emma Rose!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
This year was horrible for fathers around our age dying and leaving young families all had three kids left behind under 10 and wives because of accident or disease so so sad! Made me think about life and to be thankful for the things we are blessed with. So much tragedy. We went to to many sad young funerals this year! Hopefully 2009 is a lot better for that.
5. What places have you visited?
This year we didn’t get very far and are due for a good vacation ha ha–HA waii hint hint D lol! But we got to SLC -D and I , with the kids we got to Ty lake for a week, but not very far this year.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
I’d like to Simplify my life not do so much that I get to busy to do the most important things with my kids. Because before we know it they are grown up! So that is my word for 2009!
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched in your memory and why?
Probably Jan 30th when I found out that I didn’t have Breast Cancer, that everything would be okay. When you stew over something for a month and wonder and worry your mind and heart kind of think the worst that could happen. SO even though the Dr. found the same lump immediately, thankfully the tests showed things were okay, but to get the lump checked on yearly. SO that was a very big relief.
And January 27 when president Hinckley died sad
The other would be getting approved on Feb 25th with LDS FAMILY SERVICES for BABY #4 which we pray this is the year coming up! {funny thing though I thought we had been approved since a year ago in November until I was looking through my calendar the other day -- I was totally off that’s when we picked up our papers.} So we haven’t been waiting for as long as I thought!
8. What was your biggest achievement this year?
Nothing really big for me, but we did find a house finally after looking for so long so we did achieve something right and its bigger then the last house so yeah!
9. Did you suffer illness or injury?

9. Did you suffer illness or injury?
We have had a year of scares breast cancer, colon problems, pink eye for all, boccie balls to the face Lauren, Kolten had allergic reaction to something outside at a wedding reception and his eyeball got all gushy and huge gross, He also broke his wrist and got his teeth knocked out with a hockey stick! Masen got his pinkie finger almost severed off and he almost got run over , just a few of the injuries this year! Amongst some colds and flu too!
Our house, new furniture and stuff for the house - after years of saving so debt free not the house the furniture and stuff}, a video camera probably
11. Where did most of your money go?
A new house etc, Life, kids activities, savings and GAS! Basketball, soccer baseball, swim lessons, ballet, gymnastics and Adoption! All so very worth it for these munchkins that keep me on my toes keep me laughing and give me so much JOY! Silly bunch of them!
12. What song will always remind you of 2008?
"Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis or gotta be somebody by nickle back , love song by taylor swift , umm lots of songs
13. What do you wish you would have done more of?
Sleep ha ha! No - get away with D we need a vacation just the two of us its been since PEI 2005 probably, actually just getting away to do something fun that doesn't have anything to do with work just the two of us no matter where would be great!
I wish I had spent less time being so impatient with things that don’t matter,
14. What do you wish you would have done less of?
Probably less of getting mad and frustrated at stupid things, maybe spent a little less time at the computer if I’m really being honest!
15. What was your favorite TV program?
We don’t watch that much anymore but when we do we like CSI and LOST, Without a trace and I like 90210 ha ha and I still watch Days {I know evil eh!} honestly since we moved here I’ve watched it way less then I have maybe cause the basement isn’t finished yet ? A waste of time maybe?

Favorite movie well since I read all the twilight books and the movie just came out I’d have to say twilight mostly cause I really didn’t go to many movies this year!

18. What did you do on your birthday and how old were you? Didn't do much on my birthday D did make me a cake though! I turned 32 this year {guess that means I’ll be 33 next Saturday 10th whoa!!!}

19. What political issue stirred you the most?
Most defiantly prop 8
the historic US election, and our stupid coalition crap here! Idiots!
the historic US election, and our stupid coalition crap here! Idiots!20. Who was the best new person you met? Probably Bishop Burton this summer its so fun to met men like him and feel of their spirit and strength and that they are just real people. {I didn’t met Marie Osmond but I saw her just getting off the elevator across from us! That was cool! } And honestly I’m with Betsy on this one, meeting and getting to know so many fun new friends - bloggers- I feel like I have a whole new set of friends from everywhere there is so much to learn from everyone and its crazy the connections through people who know people you do and it makes it feel all the more closer! I have loved getting to know people better this year !

THAT my dear was REALLY fun to read! It's amazing to see how much you did in one year, when you write it all down!
Thanks for sharing! I think I will do the same. What a great way to record all the fun, the craziness, the scary, the spiritual all in one spot at the end of the year. : D
