{Totally Random this and that...}

Church Bulletin Bloopers
Bertha Belch, a missionary from Africa will be speaking tonight at Calvary Memorial Church in Racine. Come tonight and hear Bertha Belch all the way from Africa.

"Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Don't forget your husbands."

Next Sunday is the family hay ride and bonfire at the Fowlers'. Bring your own hot dogs and guns. Friends are welcome! Everyone come for a fun time.

Next Thursday there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the help they can get.
Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our community.

Don't let worry kill you off-let the Church help.

For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs.

Please place your donation in the envelope along with the deceased person(s) you want remembered. {this made me lol} funny

Potluck supper Sunday at 5:00 PM.- prayer and medication to follow.

The ladies of the Church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon.

This evening at 7 P.M. there will be a hymn sing in the park across from the Church. Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin.

AND I GIVE YOU THE NEWEST ONE FROM OUR Ward BULLETIN FROM THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS

for a cooking appliance or a cookbook ~ add or wrap it with an Apron and add cooking utensils with bows in the pocket
for an electric or nice warm blanket - add a magazine and candle and snacks with a note for cuddling in bed
for kitchen ware (pots or serving dishes) ~ add a great recipe to serve in the gift along with a few of the key ingredients for that recipe
for new PJ's ~ add a box or packet or can of Cocoa Mix and a cute cocoa mug
for all those yummy smelling lotions, soaps and bath oils from places like Bath and Body Works ~ add one special towel, bath pillow and candle for a pampering

Some awesome quotes {Thanks Kim!}

For those who struggle with the idea of Santa here's some good words

"I want to emphasize that I have no quarrel with that well fed gentleman with the red suit and white whiskers. He was very generous to me when I was a boy, and we are looking forward with great anticipation to his visit at our home. All of those things with reference to Christmas are appropriate and good and all of them are for children, except, I suppose, the mistletoe."

--Elder Boyd K. Packer

--------------

For the kids/adults who want more a beautiful answer:

"Jesus only got three gifts, what makes you better than Jesus?"

Think about that one.

----------------------

Are you all ready for Christmas yet? me - well I'm the PANIC NOW part.

LOL!!! You totally just made my night :) Thanks for all the "warm" laughs... Sure could use something pleasant, as we all fight the bitter cold today! (I liked the comment for the teenagers, about the gifts!)

My cousin is in charge of his ward bulletin, and he made a huge mistake a few weeks ago. He did a google search to find a picture of Christ to print on the front. At first glance, the photo looks like Christ holding a staff. He printed the programs, passed them out at church, and only during Sacrament Meeting did he notice that the staff was actually a big rifle. Oops!

Well I think those are hilarious! I love the gift tags, I'll probably go print some out, you can never have too many! :) That Joy to Everyone link looks great too, so many fun things to go check out! Thanks Christal!

Brad and I found the ladies pants optional very funny. But it was nice to see that no one took that option!
I need to hand that panic sign up, I am in full panic mode as well. Last year we were madly wrapping presents at 11:30 at night on the 24th. I think some only got partially wrapped! I have nothing wrapped yet, so I better get moving! Oh wait, I have to finish shopping and sewing before I can wrap... Okay I am going up to the sewing machine right now.

Thanks for the video link. AWesome!

And I REALLY like the quote from Elder Boyd K. Packer!
Thought his comment about the mistletoe was too funny!

Well, we can panic together this year. I have never been so far behind before I just keep praying that I can just have one more extra day. LOL!
