{ ME THINKS }

This last week has been such a whirlwind. Crazy how life throws such random punches out of
nowhere sometimes good or bad and you just take it and run with it and do what you can. The kids are so antsy to get started school they've just been fighting and teasing each other. So tomorrow will be awesome. I'm looking forward to routine and Kolten being busy again he loves school and learning so it will be nice to spend extra time with just Masen when Kolt and Lauren are at school. Guess we'll see anyway.
It is so cold right now too feels like fall this whole past week. Actually we've barely had a summer July had some hot days but lots of cooler wet days and lot of storms, and now it totally feels like Fall. But I've always loved September for new beginnings !
We took the kids to town today and did some shopping and took them to lunch which they thought was the greatest thing ever {obviously we don't do it much eh!}. Kind of a last day of summer holidays {full of rain and warm coats and a cast on one arm so a little limited on what we could do} We had planned on taking them to Wall E but Masen was a live wire today so didn't think we'd make it through but it was fun to go as a family for most of the day.

ME THINKS

People to often take things and make them what they aren't or think we are something other then what we really are. Or take our intentions which are good and make them into something else.
Sometimes there is so much judging going on do we ever stop and consider that we are all individuals all trying our best and sometimes really getting to know someone opens up a world of knowledge and there are so many things to learn from others.
Life affects people differently. For many reasons.
Take an adoption presentation given in our ward yesterday the song by Micheal Mclean "From Gods Arms to My Arms to Yours" was played and if you've heard it and you have something to do with adoption whether you've placed, knew somebody who did, or received a baby through adoption and been through the emotions associated with adoption.
There were a few who had to leave the room to recover from the tears that flowed. I thought wow adoption touches so many feelings and touches so many lives. Sometimes we have no idea what people have been through in there earlier years before we knew these people.
Who are we to judge we have no idea where people have been, where they are going and what they are going through.

Just a thought.

{ As a really really sad note our stake presidents wife passed away this past weekend from cancer and the day before that his dad past away. Our prayers and love are with their families all of them in there loss its so sad. But it makes me so thankful for the plan of salvation and knowing that we will see our loved ones again. } I love the words to this song another one by Micheal Mclean that puts it so beautifully: {plaque by Heather White }

I also love this quote by Mother Teresa :

People are often unreasonable and self centered Forgive them anyway
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives Be kind anyway
If you are honest, people may cheat you Be honest anyway
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow Do good anyway
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God
It never was between you and them anyway.

HAVE AN AWESOME WEEK!

Bravo!! Loved the song and the quote by mother teresa. Where do you get your quotes? And where do you get all of your fun pics. Since I have recently known first hand the whole judging thing, it has made a bit more aware that what I see isn't always the full story or what is really happening!! So much to learn!! ttyl, L

Thanks so much for sharing your me thinks...how did you know that is just what I needed to hear...the whole you never know where people come from and where their lives have taken them or been. Thanks again. I too am looking forward to schedule as I have challenged myself to rise early and do somethings before the kiddos rise. Thanks again for a great post.

I think I would have been one of those who left the room to control my emotions during that Adoption Presentation. That's song gets me every time. HE is such a good song writer.

I'm glad I as at the front in that mtg cuz I was of course bawling. I love your three precious gifts and I am so grateful they are ours--and through adoption--they are special and amazing kids. You are a lucky, blessed girl to have them!
Kind of ironic that you posted on this topic--Judging--I've been thinking a lot about it and have been working on my Presidency message lesson for Relief Society this sunday based on that topic. Hopefully I can get my thoughts gathered before then...very good quote you shared.
Hope the first day of grade one for Kolty man goes good.
Talk to you soon--if you need any help with the move etc let us know we'll do what we can.
love ya. DJ

I love your blog... it is fun to read and so uplifting. I agree with you so much, there are way to many people that judge others based on their past and don't take the time to get to know them for who they are. Adoption truly is an amazing experience and for those that have never experienced don't know the rollercoster of emotions involved... it effects so many people. I'm so happy that you have been blessed with such a beautiful family... you truly do deserve it!!

Hi girl, love the quote from Mother Theresa. What a wise woman! I think I am gonna print that one out.
Yeeaaahhh for the first day of school!!! Love the summer with the kids home, BUT, love to send them back to school in the fall too. It is starting to feel like fall here today with rain and wind and cooler temperatures. I LOVE fall except that it brings winter, which I dread!!! I tell you what, the winter here in MN sure makes me appreciate the other seasons more. Have a great week and hope Kolton's first day of school went well, cast and all.

Love ya, Rose
