{ Thankful Thursday }

Pretty close to the end of Thursday but its been a long busy day. School and basketball camp and running here and there, got a trim, found a bsitter 10min before I needed one. etc.
School gets busy how do people with 5 or 6 kids in school keep every paper and fee straight I have two and its kind of hard to keep track of all I have to do. It'll slow down soon.
Anyway we finally went and got our family pictures done tonight after boccie ball accidents broken arms and pink eye! Finally everybody had nice complexions no fight marks or mosquito bites everywhere. Anyway it went about as good as can expected for a 6, 4 and 2 year old.
So for random THANKFUL THURSDAY I am so thankful for:

REMEMBERING 9/11
I've thought about it a lot today since it is 7 years ago today. I remember getting ready for work running to work taking turns between teaching and juggling students to watch the tv. I remember crying that night thinking how could people hate so much to do something so horrendous what a horrible world to come to that.
Things changed in the world that day we still life with the effects everyday.
We have not forgotten.
We will always remember this day for the rest of our lives. Where we were, what we were doing and how it impacted our thoughts, feelings and general feeling of safety that day and many afterwards. I'm thankful though that it made me be nicer to everyone made me hold those tighter around me. Made me thankful to live where I do and made me thankful for the love that surrounded everyone survivors, families, all of us felt closer together more alike more aware and more appreciative of family and the ones we love.

I'm thankful for friends and neighbours the ones I laugh with, enjoy spending time with, and talking on the phone with. The ones I miss who I haven't seen in a long time. The ones who take the time just because they were thinking of me the ones that make my day with kind words, kind gestures, even just a smile makes a big difference.
The ones who see a need and help whether you want it or not.
I'm thankful for a husband who plays with the kids, reads with the kids, jumps on the tramp with them. I love watching them all together and thinking about what wonderful blessings they are in our lives.
Thankful for a husband who most of the time has a lot more patience then me. Thankful that he can clean when he sees it needs done while I'm away
I appreciate and love him so much. He is a wonderful father, husband, and friend.

I am so thankful that my children are loving school and loving learning. Kolt thinks its not hard enough for him but I keep telling him to just wait a bit and it will be, but he loves his teacher and loves to read everything. He is a great reader. {I don't like that he is so grouchy and tired when he gets home but I'm hoping that will pass after he gets used to being gone everyday.}
I'm loving that Lauren and Masen are getting along so well playing for hours together its fun to watch, still the odd fight of course but its nice to see them getting along so good.
I am thankful for today.
Thankful to be us.

Thankful to be the family that we are.
With our joys, our differences, our growths, our learning - us.
The older I get the more thankful I am for family for my husband, our children and the family unit were there are so many things that try to take us away from the family or that try change us or make other things seem like they are more important. There are so many activities that keep us so busy and take us away from the most important things in our lives.

I'm just thankful for the dinners together, the talks, the times reading together. The walks.

All the time we enjoy together NOW.

"To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best day and night to make you everybody else, means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting."—E.E. Cummings

Reading your thoughts this morning has been a great way to start my day! Thank you.

Charles had a cousin who worked in one of the towers in NYC. He woke up on 9/11 and felt like he should stay home from work and read his scriptures. What a miracle for his family that he didn't go to work that day.

Beautiful tribute Christal! Love you!
I totally hear you about the mound of paper work that comes home from school. IT does get to be a bit much some days.
But like a friend told me...."It's great to keep the kids busy, as it will keep them out of trouble.....however, it may make us JUST as busy if not more keeping them out of trouble, but OH so worth the sacrifice."
What us mothers, don't do, eh?
Can't wait to see you new family pics!!!! : D

I too remember the morning of 9-11. It will never be forgotten. It must NEVER be forgotten. It's so sad living in this world, but yet there is much good to be had!!!
